Question! Can the target of Veil of Darkness see through the darkness? Or is it like a small, mobile version of the regular Darkness spell?

Good question! It all depends on whether the target has darkvision. Note that unlike the Darkness spell, darkvision can still see through this spell's aura :)

Ah, I thought all magical darkness cancelled out darkvision, I forgot it's specified in that spell. Does that mean that other creatures with darkvision can see the target as well?

Understandable :) There are extremely few cases where magical darkness doesn't have that wording anyway. But yes it does mean a creature with darkvision would see the target, good question again! I think that's important for the spell to be balanced
