I've been adding a ton of masteries to the basic mastery compendium this weekend!

Among them is a new theme, tool infusions! Here's a preview of one of them:

***Disguise Self: Quality Creation.*** When you cast the Disguise Self spell, if you are proficient with a Disguise Kit and use part of the kit in the spell's casting, the changes wrought by the spell **do** hold up to physical inspection. A creature that physically inspects the spell must make an investigation check as normal. Additionally, the DC for investigation checks made to discern the nature of your disguise increases by an amount equal to your proficiency bonus.

I'm including brief rules for using tools as part of a spell's casting, as well as some items/features to bring these specific masteries to the table more easily than others, since they have special prerequisites.

February Release Update:

I have been furiously adding low level masteries to cover EVERY SRD spell (including the missed ones), as well as sure up some of the less-loved ones.

With that said, I haven't gotten to the 7th-9th level ones yet.

Have no fear! There will be no delay. I'm just going to release whatever I have finished as a doc update tomorrow!

That includes:

  • 100 or so new masteries (perhaps more)
  • New items and features
  • Updates to numerous existing masteries (mostly buffs or wording fixes)
  • In-depth change log in the pdf

I'll aim to do 7th-9th basic masteries as the March compendium. Essentially, I would like to keep working on this massive spell mastery project until it is thoroughly complete and excellent from top to bottom. As long as that's what you all want to see, that is what I'll do.

These are genuinely a ton of fun, so I hope you enjoy them as much as I am enjoying making them.

Cheers!
