I would like you to help me find a more convenient way to upload my content to Patreon and Gumroad. The current system is too complex.

I have been thinking about this issue since I started Hotsatyr, and more strongly since the tragic event of discovering the leaking of uncensored content several months ago.

If I had shared my illustrations uncensored that event would not have happened, I would be free from the mental burden of keeping the files safe, and I would also have more engaging, more followers, and possibly more patrons. However, I liked the idea of creating a select community of people (you) who could access exclusive and wonderful content, and I want to continue on this path.

For all the above reasons, at the beginning of 2023:

I created the Superhot tier for those who want to support my work to the fullest, with succulent rewards.

I shared the illustrations through a temporary download link sent by private message. To protect what you have paid for and prevent others from getting it for free.

I created a Gumroad account to publish uncensored packs of my illustrations a year after sharing them on Patreon for those who missed the previous content.

How my Patreon currently works is the only way I've found, but it is not very comfortable. Some patrons don't arrive in time to download the content, it's difficult to prepare these links and waiting a year for Gumroad packs is too long.

The solution has to be within Patreon but it can't be on Patreon posts, as it is the content that is spread illegally and automatically. I have talked to Patreon support several times, but the answer is always the same. It seems they can't do anything.

I would like to know your opinion on what I should do. I have prepared a poll in which you can choose several options per person. I will get a better idea of your thoughts (although the best thing to do is to comment on this post and generate a conversation).

I think it’s cool that you’re reaching out to the audience. It’s never a easy choice with these things. I hope whatever is decided, you’ll be ok with the decision.

Sorry for the stress of the leaks. I've dealt with this too on my Patreon. I don't think it's necessary to set a strict time limit on direct messages, end up certainly missed some download links due to expiration rates. I voted to extend that, and also voted for the drive option, since that would solve a lot of your current problems.

According to Patreon data, there is a spectrum of "Altruism" to "Subscription": Altruism: Patrons appreciate (and maybe even love) you for who you are and want to support you, regardless of what you publish. Subscription: Patrons treat you like a service. They get a thing they desire and don't necessarily care about your well being. Porn artists are nearly always "Subscription" creators, but only you can decide where you want to be on that spectrum. Making patrons happy with anything is complicated, and this is especially true for porn. Porn Patreons always have the highest instances of theft (for many possible reasons). You mentioned in the past that your favourite (human+anthro) isn't what most furries are into. People would have to value your preferences and happiness over their own before you become a porn artist who also has Altruism patrons. What I did: I blocked the person who I caught leaking my work. He posted an uncensored image separate from my artist statement on Telegram group chats and his own personal website. He was also banned from other group chats based on his toxic behaviours. Because I can never truly stop bad faith actors like him, I give as much as I can publicly, and then only post private Patreon content if the paywall benefits my personal safety. I will always be true to myself, but I don't want public search results for my name to be porn and especially vulnerable artist statements. I chose to trust and give generously, and to give people the chance to know me. I don't know if that's right for you, but it's what I did. Hope that helps. <3

Your commentary has reached an almost philosophical level that I admire. I had never thought about that spectrum, but you are absolutely right. I will do my best to please the majority and myself. It's hard for everyone to be able to support me with the same energy (but I thank all those who do so wholeheartedly). I also don't know how to detect pirates (if you know the way tell me), so the most correct thing will be (as the survey results show) to work with Drive from now on.
