Bound by loyalty and the relentless march of time, they navigate a world on the brink of extinction due to The White Drought. As their destinies unfold (Byron as a celebrated model and Greif as a leading scientist), their unbreakable family bonds will shape the future of their species in a way neither could have foreseen.

As this universe unfolds, a nonlinear narrative emerges that jumps back and forth across decades. I know it can be a little hard to follow, but I love the dynamic and original way the story unfolds. Right now, there are a lot of illustrations scattered at different points in timeline, but you've come to the right place to experience the journey in the right order. Let's dive in!

Birth of Byron and Greifswald Leyclaw. They are the last gryphons born before a mysterious event in which all male gryphons stop producing semen. Their father, who represents the Leyclaw stallion lineage (known for the number of offspring they have contributed to gryphonkind), embarks on a journey to find the origin of the phenomenon and a possible solution. Abandoning his family for the sake of gryphonkind.

In addition to being brothers, Byron and Greifswald become best friends. Despite the social upheaval caused by the incident known as The White Drought (male sterility and, consequently, a lack of births in the population), and the media's interest in these little gryphons, Byron and Greifswald's childhood develops normally.

At the age of 18, Byron and Greif (as they call him for short) start at Lewis University. On their first day, the two stare in awe at the entrance with the statue of the founder, Lewis. The only known albino gryphon, and the wisest of them all. Both his origins and his end are a mystery. He disappeared at the age of 100 and his body was never found, this mysterious event coinciding with the beginning of The White Drought.

According to legend, he flew to the stars to learn what he could not find in books and to seek a cure. Others believe that he was the cause of the problem and that he fled. Be that as it may, after his disappearance, the university adopted the motto Ad caelum et stellas (to the sky and the stars).

At the university, Byron and Greif see curlands for the first time outside the pages of their books. Curlands (short for curly-land) are the strangest breed of gryphon, characterized by a furry, curly tail and lack of wings (Hesper can be seen in the foreground; it is also her first day). Although discrimination has decreased in recent years (in fact, there is a lot of philia towards them due to their large muscles, fat dicks and tails, and slender buttocks), this breed has suffered greatly in the past because they were considered inferior.

Greif and Byron develop a lot of body hair during puberty because they come from the Leyclaw lineage, which is characterized by alpha males with long, dark feathers. It seems that Greif has fully inherited this trait, while Byron has not so much. At their first college party, the two brothers get drunk for the first time and their confidence grows. Greif feels a little overwhelmed by having a surname and genetics with so much history, and believes he cannot live up to what society expects of him. Byron, on the other hand, has accepted it normally, even with a certain cockiness.

Abbie is a very attractive and sociable girl. And she takes the opportunity to fuck all the males she finds attractive. So when she finds out that a pair of handsome Leyclaw twins have arrived to start their freshman year at college, she quickly sets her sights on them, starting with Greif! Her dream is to get pregnant and the multiple efforts to do so, unsuccessful for the moment, have given her a philia for being inseminated.

University classes have already begun, and Byron and Greif are adjusting very well to their new routines. They are both good students, but Greif has not been to class all day, and in the evening he asked Byron for his notes, who was already relaxing in their shared room. What happened to Greif?

During the historical period of The White Drought, it became increasingly common to have sex in any situation in order to increase the chances of procreation. When a couple had sex outdoors or in a public place, it became customary for passersby to wish them “White luck”. It was naively believed that these words would promote fertilization.

It even became normal for onlookers to approach to see the quantity and density of fluids and other aspects of the act, such as the anatomy, moans, and movements of the participants.

On several occasions, a single couple gave rise to orgies involving dozens of gryphons. One of the most memorable took place on the beach visited by Byron and Greif when they finished their first year of college.

Years go by and there has been absolutely no positive progress regarding The White Drought. Politicians promise better times in their speeches, but social tension is palpable in the air as no change is seen. Scientists are working around the clock, the most experienced generations are beginning to pass away, and the multiple projects, even with collaboration between nations, are not yielding good results. The high-tech Gryphon Power laboratories are beginning to be seen as the last line of defense to save the gryphonkind.

At 30 years old, Byron has solidified his position as a top model for fashion and sports brands, collaborating with some of the most prestigious names in the industry. Having started his career as a child, Byron brings decades of experience and global recognition, making him one of the most iconic figures in the modeling world.

Meanwhile, Greif has taken a different path, dedicating himself to scientific advancement. After completing his university studies, he began as an intern at Gryphon Power Labs and quickly climbed the ranks.

Recently appointed as the project manager of PILLAR (Program for Investigative Life and Lineage Advancement and Recovery), Greif now oversees this ambitious government-funded initiative aimed at addressing the catastrophic White Drought.

PILLAR has been divided into different phases.

PILLAR/03A

Direct study of male fluids. In the extraction room, fluids are obtained from males in groups of 5 using the Extraction Capsule.

PILLAR is currently in stage A of its third phase, requiring groups of five males, selected randomly from the global population, to present themselves at laboratories for fluid extraction. This phase has sparked widespread controversy and divided public opinion. Supporters argue that PILLAR is the only viable solution to stave off the impending extinction of gryphonkind, commending the government’s decisive action in these desperate times. Critics, however, decry the mandatory nature of the program, emphasizing individual freedom and questioning the ethics of forcing citizens to participate without alternative options.

The tension between these perspectives reflects the growing societal divide in the face of an existential crisis. There are three habitable regions on the planet, and Byron's group of five includes members from all of them.

The leftmost gryphon, named Quincy, comes from the Eastern Villages, a cluster of ancient settlements known for their deep traditionalism, ancestral pride, and spiritual customs. While they fall under the governance of the Global Union, their way of life remains largely autonomous, safeguarded by a powerful cultural independence, driven by order and community harmony.

Their people are known for their distinctive rough, melodic accents, their deep-rooted pacifism, and above all, their mastery of goldsmithing, a craft passed down through centuries and imbued with sacred meaning.

Religion plays a central role in every aspect of Eastern life, particularly when it comes to family. According to their beliefs, a gryphon cannot enter the afterlife honorably unless they have fulfilled their duty to their bloodline. This includes conceiving and numbering a specific minimum of offspring, typically at least three, though the exact number varies depending on caste, family lineage, and spiritual oaths. Each child is formally recorded and named in ceremonial scrolls, and families that exceed the minimum are revered as spiritually rich.

These customs make fertility and parenthood sacred obligations, not personal choices. It is said that the energy of a griffin that dies without offspring will wander the world, and will not return to the cycle of life until its lineage continues through another relative. This cultural pressure fosters a deep sense of communal responsibility as well as emotional complexity for those who are infertile or childless. The White Drought has plunged this region into a profound spiritual crisis, affecting its inhabitants much more deeply than the rest of the gryphonkind.

Physiologically, eastern males possess hidden genitalia, which remain completely retracted unless stimulated, a trait considered sacred, linked to their spiritual belief that sexuality is an act of creation, not a casual instinct. Vibrant red throat feathers identify them as easterners, and they become saturated in spring.

Although the stigma of the curlands is fading, there are still people who have less respect for these gryphons, or consider them second class, even though it is known that these are only aesthetic genetic traits. As a result, Hesper has developed a shy and introspective personality. He shared his college years with Byron, and his sexual desire for the handsome blue gryphon grew over the years, though they never spoke directly and were never friends (even Byron and Greif teased him about being a gay curland).

Nestled between Hesper and Byron in the group, there is Able. He's a gryphon of the Global Union, living a quiet, humble life as a baker. He runs a small, warm-hearted shop alongside his wife, where the scent of toasted seeds and sweet grain is known to drift down the cobbled streets. Locals speak of him with affection: his seed bread is legendary, and his kindness even more so.

Though he has never paid much attention to his appearance, the comparative nature of the experiment has left him increasingly self-conscious. Among the other selected subjects, he has begun to notice subtle differences in his physique, sparking a quiet insecurity that wasn’t there before.

Still, beneath his modest demeanor lies a well of hope and resilience. He and his wife have long struggled with infertility, a source of private sorrow in an otherwise joyful marriage. For Able, the experiment is not just a scientific endeavor, it represents a glimmer of possibility, a chance to break through the silence of childlessness and finally build the family they’ve long dreamed of. That hope is what carries him forward, even through discomfort and doubt.

On the far right is Tamerlan, a defiant gryphon of the Northern Tribes, a people entrenched in silent but unwavering resistance to the expansion of the Global Union, which despite posing its mission as peaceful unification, the Northerners see it as elimination by assimilation. No battles have been fought, but the tension is unmistakable: a cold war of ideology and identity. Northern tribes are resilient, instinctive and individualistic, focusing less on legacy and more on survival, resilience and identity. Their defiance is based on reaction to perceived oppression and a desire to remain untamed and independent.

Unlike the religious and ordered traditions of Eastern peoples, the North is not driven by doctrine, but by memory, instinct and survival. The Global Union considers them primitive.

Tamerlan perfectly embodies the heritage of the North: his plumage is black and his genitals are small, but this has no socially negative consequences in the North, where strength is measured in endurance and loyalty.

He speaks little, is always vigilant and does not trust the Global Union. His presence in the experiment he considers an act against his will, even though the North also suffers from The White Drought.

Sarah, Greif's assistant, addresses Byron and the other subjects, reminding them that they have already signed all the necessary documentation before entering the room. By now, they should be fully aware of how the experiment will unfold, having received detailed information both at home and through the media. However, to ensure absolute clarity and eliminate any doubts, they will now receive a final briefing.They stand in the Extraction Room, where groups of five undergo fluid collection under the most aseptic and ethically controlled conditions possible. Byron (left) is a bodybuilding model for sports brands and the face of Gryphon Power Labs' PILLAR project. He is currently dating Abbie, a beautiful gryphon he met at university, who is ready to have her first breeding, but so far without success.

Greifswald (right) works as a scientist at Gryphon Power Labs and provides his brother Byron with a trial version of the PILLAR/04A shake. From this point on, the question is no longer whether the crisis can be solved, but how its solution reaches everyone. That answer becomes PILLAR/05: the approval of free, large-scale distribution of Gryphon Power’s miracle shake to all male gryphons.
