The Bottom Palms (Practice) (Patreon)

How to palm cards from the bottom of the deck. We'll learn how to palm in the left hand and into the right hand. These are two significantly different techniques (because the palmed card is going into a different hand in each). The left hand bottom palm is one of the most angle-proof moves in all of card magic, and the right hand bottom palm is an excellent entry point for color changes.

PRACTICE DRILLS:

For the left hand bottom palm, practice palming one card, then two cards, then three cards, etc. until you don't have the hand strength to hold that many cards in palm. For me, the limit is about 5.

For the right hand bottom palm, practice palming off the back of a double card, then from a small packet, then from half the deck, and -- if you want to -- from the full deck.
