So, I've been skimming through the manga as a refresher because I've mentioned wanting to start watching the anime on here with y'all. I thought I had read up to the time skip, but it's been so long that even stuff before then is kind of fuzzy to me.Question is: would it be worth starting the anime around the Summit War saga if it's not a 100% blind reaction, just so I can really remember what's going on? Or should I just say screw it and start post-time skip and just be murky on the details?

More importantly, what would YOU all prefer to see? (I ain't starting from the beginning though, I at least remember those early arcs up to Enies Lobby VERY vividly)

I’d say summit war cause the anime adaptation is really good and very well worth watching even if you’ve read it

So would you start at saobody? Anyways I think it would be best for you to do the summit war if jumping right into post timeskip would be confusing.

Definitely play it by ear. I’d say start at the Summit War Saga (around episode 385). Padding really is an issue. I'm not sure how you want to handle that, but these episodes are pretty solid, or at least the moments make it worth it.

summit war fs, the more videos we get, the better

Idk the arc name, but if sabaody is the first arc after then time skip, then that's where I was planning on starting

Oh yeah I haven't personally watched it this way, but maybe try the one pace version and see if its good so you can not waste time on all the dragged out scenes.

As I said in the DM's One Pace is a really good option. Especially as a fellow manga reader! But I agree with the majority about starting at the Summit War Saga. More content is more money. 🤷‍♂️

If you remember up until Enies Lobby then maybe start at Thriller Bark (the arc before the Summit War saga). Also for post-timeskip, do you think you'll do One Pace (the fan-edit that cuts down padding to match the manga)? The anime post-timeskip has pretty awful pacing to most people, there are times where it's fine but then there are other times where the scenes drag on because the episode is adapting one chapter or less. I usually just tell people to read the manga but One Pace is a good alternative in case the original anime starts feeling too slow.
