Changelog Highlights

This is a completely new standalone build, almost rebuilt from the ground up.

That’s why it took some time to prepare this early access version.

We spent long hours, days, and weeks testing different configurations to identify every possible source of issues.

Project Arcade is designed to maintain a balance between visual quality and performance, while pushing RetroFE’s capabilities for better layouts, animations, and overall presentation.

We performed a deep revision of the core layouts to resolve issues reported by patrons, such as:

* Random crashes

* Performance slowdowns

* Compatibility problems across different PC setups

This new build is currently in its early access stage, and more features and improvements will be added in future updates.

Visual and Performance Improvements

You’ll notice several major upgrades in this build:

* Cleaner and more optimized media files

* Improved animations and visual transitions

* Removal of unnecessary clutter

* Better organized layouts

Thanks to AI-assisted workflows, we’ve also added:

* New logo sets

* Updated fan art

* Additional artwork and media enhancements

* Redesigned dual-monitor functionality

* More organized and easier-to-manage layouts

* MAME 0.284 support

* Support for non-merged MAME sets (approximately 4,000 working games)

* Optional HD and 4K marquee packs

* Selectable MAME-themed or Hyperspin-style videos

* Reorganized arcade playlists

* Support for Mr. LUST 4K bezels

* Updated MAME controls based on version 0.284

(Version 0.285 support is currently in progress)

* Enhanced Settings Menu Compatibility

If you’re currently using a previous version of Project Arcade i-RETROPLAY,

don’t worry — it will continue to receive supporting updates.

These will be covered in future releases.

This new standalone build can also be optionally merged with your existing setup.

We appreciate your patience, as this build will continue to evolve with regular updates.

Stability Testing

So far, during our internal testing:

* The system has run for 24 hours continuously

* Tested on both single and dual-monitor setups

* With no crashes reported
