🎀 PROJECT ARCADE I-CANDY MODE — INSTALLATION GUIDE

📋 REQUIREMENTS

Before installing, make sure you have:

Project Arcade I-RETROPLAY Build

All required Project Arcade I-RETROPLAY Updates

Sufficient available storage space for your selected installation option

All required installer files downloaded and kept together

📦 INSTALLATION OPTIONS

The I-CANDY Update Installer provides two installation options:

OPTION 0 — I-CANDY UPDATE + MAME 0.289

Install the complete Project Arcade I-CANDY Update together with the optional MAME 0.289 NON-MERGED Version.

Requires approximately 150GB+ of additional installation space.

Download ALL required files and folders before running the installer.

Recommended for users who want the complete I-CANDY Update package with MAME 0.289.

OPTION 1 — I-CANDY UPDATE ONLY

Install only the Project Arcade I-CANDY Update without the MAME 0.289 package.

Requires approximately 50GB+ of additional installation space.

Download ONLY the following:

1. OFFICIALCANDYUPDATE folders2. FILELIST folder3. Batch File Installer

This option is recommended if you already have the required MAME version and only want to update your Project Arcade installation with the new I-CANDY features, themes, and media.

⚠️ INSTALLATION NOTE

Run the installer from anywhere!

The installer can be executed from any location, as long as all required installer files remain intact and are kept together in the same folder structure.

Simply download the required files, keep them organized in one location, and run the provided Batch File Installer.

Do not separate, rename, or remove required files or folders before running the installer.

🛡️ AUTOMATIC BACKUP

For safety, the installer will automatically create backups of your existing Project Arcade files before applying the update.

The following folders/files are included in the backup process:

🔒 IMPORTANT

The backup process is designed to help protect your existing setup and make it easier to restore your original files if necessary.

Please do not delete the generated backup files until you have confirmed that the I-CANDY Update is working correctly.

Please make sure that:

✔ Project Arcade I-RETROPLAY is already installed.

✔ All required I-RETROPLAY updates have been applied.

✔ You have enough free storage space.

✔ The required installer files are completely downloaded.

✔ All installer files remain in their required folder structure.

✔ You have closed RetroFE and other Project Arcade-related programs before starting the installation.

✔ You have allowed the installer to complete before launching Project Arcade again.
