I'd been meaning to fix this page for a while as I had gotten Gwen's hair wrong. I also new that I wanted to rework her playroom. She is not confined to a basement. She has space. She has a budget. The updated third panel says so much more about her than the previous version and I'm very pleased with it. I posted the original so you can judge for yourself.

A new page of BLACK LABEL should be up next week. I think you're gonna like it! :)

Have a great weekend!

Death of Ink

Oh this update is much nicer! Way bigger mommy dommy vibes with this one!

Oh wow! That... is singularly unexpected. My personal take would be: keep the her playroom underground. There's something to be said for a dungeon having an oppressive (and somewhat claustrophobic) mood to it. While I understand Gwen is a woman of means, there are plenty of ways to drive that point home without creating an open, airy space. Also, is a grand piano *really* necessary in this setting...? O_o The old page worked just fine - if I was forced to nitpick, I would note that Gwen could certainly afford one of those fancy Martin-style rigid stocks with the rotating inserts, rather than what was displayed on the wall in the old panel. And moreover, you also need to make sure that the layout remains consistent with that out-of-sequence page you drew several weeks ago (featuring the "Moonrock" cover). What we have here seems to be an inner-city highhrise apartment rather than a suburban home that was suggested. This contradiction needs to be resolved - one way or the other... But all that aside - and for the record - I am very happy you're back to work on the main comic. :)

Gwen's long dress (right picture) Gwen's earings (left picture) show that she has budget. Though a Gwencave ; a Gwenmobile are very tempting.

First off, love the new version

First off, love the new version!! It definitely fits her better what with her attitude and rich vibe she gives off. Second, glad to hear you picking up where you left off before. All this anticipation for what happens next has been killing me.
