...Welcome back! I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Posting a little late today, but I couldn’t wait to get to work! I’m taking a break from Chapter 5 today to work on the missing epilogue for chapter 2. It’s only one page, so I want to get the detailed sketches done today if I can and then get back to the next page tomorrow. It would be really cool if I could knock out both of these pages this week, but I’m going to try and not over do it. ^^;

Had a busy day of writing yesterday! I haven’t taken a day to just write for a while, or at least that’s what it feels like. I try to take a day once a week, but it’s easy to get caught up in other stuff that needs doing. I have so many scripts at this point and then my wife asked me a question that started a train of thought that suddenly turned into eight pages of notes for a new comic. That’s how it happens I guess. Don’t worry, BLACK LABEL first! So excited to get to the next chapter! We’re so close!

I hope everyone has a kickass week! Chat soon!

I love how a simple comment or question can turn into a creation of a new world of fiction. 😌 How exactly did Black Label come into being?

What genre is this new comic? Sci-fi? Fantasy? Horror? I’m curious. 😅

Best not to over do it, I'm curious as to what the new comic will be.

Intrigued as well, although I feel like I could just take volume after volume of Black Label. Who knows, maybe this new comic would be even more endearing!

The epilogue for chapter 2, is that the page you were telling me about how Val found out about Meg's website?

No, but it will definitely lead up to that. It will be part of a later chapter that will include a in a short flashback that will pick up a short time after the epilogue. Basically we get to see what Val’s been up to this past week.

Exactly. Way more than enough on my plate right now, but it should make for a fun writing project. I’ve figured out new projects need at least a year of development for me to get to know the characters and what not, but I found a lot of fertile ground. Essentially we were talking about polyamory and the different ways that type of relationship might develop, and it made me think of a fun/touching scenario with some interesting new characters.

I was complaining about how there was barely any hentai or Bondage related comics that I enjoyed, so I decided to make my own (so spite, basically). I was also reading sunstone (which was called Shiniez at the time) and was inspired. What started as some one page gag comics quickly morphed into a character and narrative driven series.
