why is it my game closes every time i get to the 2nd boss in the tutorial?

Hello, I've encountered a bug. After finishing everything in the current build, I went back to ***SPOILERS** play as Dog to forage for items again. Unfortunately, I'm stuck as Dog permanently, it seems. I entered the second screen, but it glitched into a third area I hadn't seen with tentacle beasts surging in waves overhead. The exit to the world map doesnt' work, it just restarts the screen so I'm stuck in a loop. I also can't open the menu so I can't quit to the world map that way. It's a shame, because I think I unlocked all the scenes but I can't do anything but platform as Dog.

I've been trying to load the game for 10 minutes, but it only appears on my task manager, the game doesn't appear on the screen. Do I need to keep waiting or is something wrong? I tried downloading the game again, and my computer definitely isn't the problem.
