This is a good idea, but I still think you should decide and it not be a popularity contest

legionminiatures

We thought about it but we wanted to avoid anyone thinking that we have presented the winning figure or that the winning figure has favouritism on our part because they may be known to us.

Jason Dubois

There shouldn't be anyone who thinks that, and in the end if you decide the winners at least on my part there wont be a problem, but if you decide that it should be by voting its fine, I just wanted to participate xD

Jeremy Bernhardt

Names should not be included at all. Give each picture a number or just name the model (Spide-Man 1 and Spider-Man 2 for the doubles). Adding a name removes an element of anonymity. Knowing who painted the model can bias voters, consciously and unconsciously. These kinds of contests are also highly affected by the miniatures photography skills. Painting contests are judged in person for the same lighting conditions, the ability to turn the model, and a proper appreciation of scale in relationship to blending and contrast. Online voting with photos can have the best painted model ranked lower because the lighting is poor, or they didn't show the same pictures as anpther entry. Having judged before and not really knowing anyone here for painting anyway has me approaching this differently than others might.

Vinicius Oliveira Candelaria

It's a shame that the photos of my mini didn't even appear here, was the paint really that bad?

legionminiatures

Not at all! You did a good job but when we asked for the names on patreon, it took you almost 3 days and we had to pull the survey in order to meet the deadline. We'll think of something to make it up to you

SparkyOrb

Has this poll ended yet? I'm just wondering about the participation gift 😅
