ANPUT

HOLY SHIIIIIIIIIIIT!!!!!!!! 😂😂😂😂YES YES YES!!! THIS IS GONNA BE EPIC!!!!!! HOLY SHIT!!!!!

Adam Munoz

Brilliant! This game is perfect. Though I’m hesitant because last I tried it I sucked at the combat. I enjoyed the video very much Brandon, any tips on the combat?

Tomo

not for me was hoping for Last of Us / God of War / Dead Space finally.. the last 3 titles doing nothing for me. hope next one is a banger.

ANPUT

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!!!! LOL!!!!

Darren Stoller

Last of us would be cool or all of the latest tomb raiders

PsiEmitter

Am I seeing KCD 2 VR in here or only the lights and shadows trick me??

ReaperzVR

You don't suck, Henry sucks and needs to be leveled up, combat becomes easier the more you level up your skills. It's just how the game is designed.

Adam Munoz

Alright, I’m down then. Grinding in RPGs is my jam, thanks!

D S

Nope. That kcd2. Leaves it pretty clear!

Steph bonnery Canal Sports

Thank you very much, but as Tomo I would have preferred a good "The Last of Us", I am not a fan of "Kingdom Come". But it's still great for us all.

ReaperzVR

When's it dropping? I'd love to cover it on my channel. I've actually been playing it with VorpX and made some videos on it, but it's janky and nowhere near optimised.

Krow

Still hoping for the Mass Effect Legendary Edition, myself, but grateful for your work. Cyberpunk in VR is absolutely mind blowing.

D S

Our Kingdom Come, Our work be done. On PC as it is in VR. Deliver us from 2D! -The Book of Luke Chapter 16 verse 9. Ahmen

Maximilian Pütz

Can't wait for a gay romance in vr... 🤣oh shoot I hope it's kc 1

Cercata

Is this related to the teaser, or just a petition? KCD2 is my most desired game to receive VR mod

Cercata

OMG, that's KCD or KCD2 !!!!!

Cercata

KCD2 ... I didn't expect the Teaser to be that explicit XD

Critical

Great, can't wait to experience KCD2 in VR.

Cercata

OMG, you can't imagine how happy you made guys !!!!

michael whatley

Can someone confirm it's kcd2 before I pay for it? And if so do I need to play first one

michael whatley

thats £40 just spent will wait for mod to come out before playing

ANPUT

Brandon i like your videos lol

Steve B

🙈 Looks like those real world jobs Ive been putting off for a year will be put off for another year now

OneUp03

Hi Luke, I had a random question: does RealVR support loading reshade add-ons? I'm considering trying to write one that uses the depth buffer to command changes to VRto3D IPD (for 3D it's necessary to change it when objects are closer to the camera). Or might there be a way to command RealVR world scale, as that sometimes works to reduce the 3D effect strength? Thanks for all your work!

Chris Wilkinson

So excited! Held off playing it hoping this would be coming. Perfect game for VR. Thank you!

Cercata

If it had VR MOD, I would recomend you yo play the first one, not because you need to, because it's very very good

Brandon(Post Maester)

Yes, as someone who gets addicted to grinding my way to being OP in a game, this game is designed to try and be hard to be OP in. However, there are actually lots of creative ways to level up and get things done. Most all of the locks on people's dwellings are either easy or very easy to pick and you don't have to enter after picking them. Strength levels up if you are over encumbered and you can jump over a fence repeatedly for a little while to level up vitality. I had barely played the first game years ago, so I was not familiar with the combat, and it was quite difficult starting out but after doing some training it made more sense and after getting some decent gear, it is much more manageable. There are also some good videos on YouTube that go over the combat really well. Training with Tomcat helped out quite a bit though. Stamina is very important in combat in this game. If you run out, you will start to take major damage but if you manage your stamina appropriately and are patient, you will take much less damage when getting hit.

Adam Munoz

Thank you for the advice! Stamina management is something I very much enjoy. Makes me feel at home in a Dark Souls kinda way. If you fail to manage this, you are vulnerable, and games with those systems keep me engaged. Excited!

Brandon(Post Maester)

Honestly, I was not super excited about this one for myself either as I didn't really like the first game when I tried it years ago. After grinding my way through the beginning for a while and getting to know how things work, I actually really like this game. The story, characters and quests are great. It is difficult and sometimes frustrating but very rewarding in its freedom to do things in different ways. The modding community is awesome! It just got official modding support too! It is super immersive once you get into it. Of course, we all have our preferences and not everyone is going to like it. I think it will end up being towards the top of Luke's supported titles though. It is worth giving a shot at some point :) The game definitely feels more alive than lots of the AAA games that have come out recently. I mean, I was not expecting a villager walking by to grab the stuff off of the ground that I dropped because I was carrying too much :) That is the kind of detail that most AAA modern games are no longer focusing on. It isn't perfect of course. For instance, I do really wish you could put bodies on your Horse, but maybe they will add that in at some point. Probably not though because that would make some quests easier ;)

Brandon(Post Maester)

Yes, I can! It is actually quite possible that the chaos unfolding in my brain as I do is much more animated than your actual reaction 🤪

Brandon(Post Maester)

I would give it a chance at some point down the road when it is on sale or something. It might surprise you after you get to know how things work.

Brandon(Post Maester)

Hopefully they make people laugh :) And of course, get excited for the next release! My wife went from jealousy to asking me if the basic plot line is; "You go from, about to fulfill one of your childhood fantasies, to not being able to use your junk at all?" That's a bad day."

Thijs van der Caaij

I was considering offering Luke to name my firstborn after him in exchange for KCD2. Looks like there's no need for little Lukes after all!

Brandon(Post Maester)

But what if your kid misunderstands and thinks you named him after Luke Skywalker? Then he just whines about everything :( I think you are probably better off this way.

Steph bonnery Canal Sports

It is especially that a friend kept talking to me when the game came out, and now I will have to buy it. 😅 But I never played in the first episode.

D S

Would the good lord taunt you?

sezzce

Luke, I'm asking about KCD2. Since it's running on CryEngine, it should be easy to implement - and with the crowd asking for it, now’s the perfect time.

D S

"audentis fortuna iuvat" means mods favor those who beg

michael whatley

I had zero interest in this game now after watching reviews I'm mega hyped now waiting for notification on my phone with the release.

Joël Querci

Well well well!!! Thats a really good news!!! Hoping playing this tomorrow!!! Thanks dudes!!!!!!

FlyingWaffle

Very impressive to get KCD2 done so fast! Just wonder whether Death Stranding would ever be considered (it's the same tech as Horizon Zero Dawn I believe)? The slow and immersive gameplay is kinda made for VR. Probably better Death Stranding 2 (not sure when), I think the first one came out on PC at launch.

Thijs van der Caaij

Yeah that's exactly why I had not made the offer yet! Although since we're talking about KCD he could've been named after Luke Dale as well. Then there's the risk of him being a noble cunt who over time will really start to grow on me.

Tomo

Hi Luke here a small overview of good games you can consider porting - you can magnate on your fridge ;) Last of Us Last of Us 2 God of War God of War Ragnarök Dead Space Remake Watch Dogs Legion Spiderman 2 Days Gone Remaster Mass Effect + Adromeda Quantum Break Control Marvels Guardians of the Galaxy Assassins Creed Valhalla

Billy Bloggs

Can't wait to try KCD 2. Any word on a solution to Indy black screen issue on 50 series? I'm still unable to launch it since upgrading. Keen to finish Indy before heading back in time. Love those vids btw.

Brandon(Post Maester)

Disable DL(S)SS and it should work. Unfortunately it has issues with Indy and 50 series

Cris

Luke, please, one word only...STARFIELD. Do it, only you can.

Clever Name

YES KCD2 IS THE BEST GAME EVER

Hoshi82

WHAT WHAT?! No freaking way! KCD2 is coming to VR?!

John Zigmont

I tried no more flat VR mod and it's similar to Luke Mods and it's update every two to three days. It's a good mode IMO

Brandon(Post Maester)

Yes freaking way! I have seen it with my own eyes! And played it with my own hands! :)

Brandon(Post Maester)

I only played through very little of the first game. I don't think it is necessary but perhaps we will get them in reverse order??? I actually played through RE 7 and 8 in reverse order and it may have enhanced the story. Kind of like seeing a really good movie and then getting a prequel later on.

Hoshi82

WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN? I don't take a soon as an answer. :P

Feral Live

Any chance of KCD1 as well? I'd do a playthorugh of both in VR lol

Brandon(Post Maester)

Alright then, in the near future 🤓 I actually don't know for sure, but I think probably a couple days after the teaser. So, my guess would be tomorrow, but it could very well be today! That is part of the fun of having a teaser. Build up some excitement in the community for a couple days or so. It's like finding out you have a really good birthday present a few days before your birthday. If you are older like me, your birthday can be a dreaded day. If you find out your wife got you something really awesome, then it becomes more exciting, and you look forward to it much more. So just pretend you are an old married man, and you will be much better off 🤪 Or it could happen right now!

Tru

hey Luke can we please get Arkham knight?

Brandon(Post Maester)

Some people seem to have enjoyed using the mod and he is still working on it I believe. I wasn't aware he was using Reframework, I'll have to check that out. How/why would he use that outside of the REengine though? Starfield uses an entirely different engine. I know Praydog made a mod for it that he never officially released, did Mutar use that or something? But then the next game he is working on is a different game engine as well.

Cris

first of course my congratulations for getting KCD2!!! dream game in VR...incredible. Indy, CP2077, Outlaws...I can't handle them all at once xD!!!!! Wonderful...but Starfield has that extra something, the ships, that's graphics.... I tried the Flat2VR mod and it doesn't look right. ¡¡¡¡It has nothing to do with Luke, so I beg you .... get this point, STARFIELD PLEASE!!!!

Brandon(Post Maester)

Not going to happen. Mutar still seems to be working on it though so I'm sure it will improveore 😬 Neither of us enjoyed that game at all. I tried for 12-13 hours but it was just so empty and boring.

Lightningsoul

If at some point every single game supports VR natively at least we know you'd do fine as a YouTuber. Awesome treaser! <3

D S

Im not finding any issues with dlss KCD2, as luke mentioned - very interesting if there's a glitch in their implementation of dlss however - it must exist in 2d as well? I guess I dont see it - please note I am using dlss4 transformer and preset K via the Nvidia Inspector with dlss swapped files 310.x.x.x

Brandon(Post Maester)

It is there in 3d and 2d. There is still some shimmer around some objects but it is not a constant thing and you pretty much get used to it. I can notice it on trees pretty well though.

Brandon(Post Maester)

Nah, I don't really want to be a YouTuber :) I just do it for the Patreon. As long as people enjoy them and Luke want's me to make them I'll keep doing them for some games. Probably not all though. It also depends on how fast he puts them out! Ya never know though, if I do it for long enough and it becomes second nature, I may branch out to other stuff.

D S

More than in other titles? I still don't see it - even on trees and grass (I mean no more so than occurs on my monitor), so I started to wonder if A:) the setup I have with the profile inspector and dlss swapper fixes it or B:) turning the sharpness in the game to zero solves it? or C:) it's simply the same as other titles - and at the resolutions I'm pushing it gets decreased to oblivion. I mean: when Luke said DL(S)SS wasn't perfect upon release I would say what's left is largely DLSS itself being an imperfect solution. It's REALLY good! REALLY GOOD. What I'm seeing is so perfect that I wondered: Have I stumbled upon a solution? I noted that the sharpness option in their software is atypical in it's implementation. There's several kinds of sharpening and they're using a really old type of sharpening, generically referred to as post-process edge sharpening (it's that old!), as opposed to CAS, shader model sharpening, or the built-in DLSS sharpening. It's totally from old cryengine (you can check it in the console)

Brandon(Post Maester)

Yeah, I recently disabled the sharpening via config and I don't notice it as much. But then I use other sharpening to replace it. It is still not as sharp, so hard to tell if it would be more noticeable if I cranked up sharpening more. Kind of like how the trails become far more visible when using a higher degree of sharpening in Cyberpunk. So, if I try to get things in the distance to be quite sharp the shimmering is more noticeable but if I focus on just having enough sharpening for what is relatively close to me in game, then it is not as noticeable, but that just makes sense to a degree.

Gamer Couple

Please add Crystal Light compatibility

Brandon(Post Maester)

Seems to be hit or miss for people but there are definitely people using the Crystal Light successfully with the mods. Then again, Pimax compatibility and setup in general seems to be hit or miss for people :) Have you tried asking anyone else with the crystal light about their specific setup?

Gamer Couple

I have. I've read to try edit .ini settings, i've read try to boot in oculus mode. I've read disable mipmap, I've read no changes are needed and it should just work. I eventually got a picture to load in the headset, but the eyes/cameras are in the wrong location, kind of looks like it's cross eyed

Brandon(Post Maester)

Yeah, definitely use Oculus runtime and make sure you have the Meta app installed on your system, so it has the dll files it needs for Oculus compatibility mode. Definitely also disable both mipmap options in the main tab of the REAL overlay. The rest I am not very certain about honestly. I don't know if it is better to use Pimax play or Pimax XR or what software version is better, no clue. If it works for some people and not others, I don't know that there is much of anything Luke can do without having a crystal or if it is some odd thing on the Pimax driver side 🤷‍♂️ Maybe someday the mods will get so popular they will just send him one :) I don't think he is very keen to try and work with Pimax again after his first experience though. He tried to get them to fix their drivers a long time ago, but they wouldn't, so he gave up.

Gamer Couple

Sorry if this is a double post. It seemed to have disappeared. Pimax has improved their drivers drastically in the last few months. When i first got the Crystal Light, I had all kinds of issues, now pretty much all of the bugs are gone. They were transparent about having a problem and actually addressed it. The only thing I can't get working now are the LR mods, hah. So, if he gets a chance to check it out, he may not hate it as much

azur29

Hello, it would be helpful to have a chart of games and headsets and their proven Luke Mod's VR compatibility.

Gamer Couple

and a basic list of what games are supported. And instructions for different headsets. I believe one of the biggest barriers to entry around VR Mods, is there's really not one good source to find information, it's spread out all over the place, or people rely on chatrooms. The only people who are going to get into it are people who are familiar with it's existence, and are highly motivated to go out and try to find all the pieces of the puzzles spread across the internet. It's actually exhausting. I'm not specifically referring to LR VR (except for maybe a clear list), i'm referring to PCVR mods in general

Brandon(Post Maester)

It would be really basic, as nobody has access to all the headsets and they are still coming out. It would lack any real depth probably to the point that it would be a waste of time. Unless it was a community thing where people could add to it.

azur29

in a community context this could be useful...

Cercata

Are you sure it's shimmer ? It's maybe some intentional grain effect ? I normally don't see it, in some 3D cinematics only. I'm gonna try with less sharpening

Mr Lee Spinks

His everyone. l don't know where to ask this question so I'll ask here. l have a fairly good PC and can run Cyber Punk fairly well in VR. It is unplayable with the Far Cry games. The mod works fine but the are pixelated to a point of being unplayable. Is there an east fix for this?

Brandon(Post Maester)

You have set custom resolutions for those games and using those larger resolutions hasn't seem to help? I think 4 is the only FC game that allowed Luke to add in custom resolutions into the game settings. The other ones, you have to use the PPD slider to create a custom resolution. Always a good idea to look at a games original release post for setup instructions.
