Tbh the issue with the next big arc, which is where they said it fell off was the animation. In terms of storytelling it’s one of the best but the fighting animation wasn’t good and the final fight. That’s why people were hating on it

I was hoping to see zero but I shall wait till next year IF the people would allow it. But can't wait for the other reactions like kaiju no 8 next month.

After Fairy Tail Zero, FT 2019 aka the final season is where it fell off. It was okay, storyline wise but the animation was ass ngl. 100 year quest seems to look better because it’s being done by a different studio. But idk why Crunchyroll doesn’t have all the episodes in there lol

well the animation in the final season is almost identical to this one but it’s only the slideshow and less movement in certain areas that people have a problem but overall the story and the villains were good certain fights at the end could have been done better but that’s about it. I love 100 year quest tho, it’s everything people want fairy tail to be.
