Spirit was asking Stein if he was straying from the path right before turning into a dog. They actually drew Marie's face like that because, in Japan/anime, that face is how they display that a character is forgettable lol Caffeine is typically good for headaches, and you kinda bounce out and on to your chair a lot when something crazy happens, so it might be why your chair is starting to sink.
