So Fate Stay Night is based on a visual novel and there are three routes i.e. alternative storylines: Unlimited Blade Works (the series), Heaven's Feel (the movies) and a third route (an old adaptation from 2006 I believe). In Heaven's Feel the focus is on Sakura and events happen differently to the series. A few reminders from the Unlimited Blade Works series and Fate Zero: - Sakura and Rin are sisters but Sakura was adopted by the Matous (the bug family) when they were young - Kirei (the priest) and Gilgamesh have been working together since Fate Zero - Kirei betrayed and killed Rin's father - Gilgamesh was an archer servant but was incarnated into a human by the grail at the end of the previous war
