Gasssppp. I thought first he leaves the house cause dad was mean and tried to strangle him. BUTTTTT i think he just meet his ice spirit and after a fight he got a new vision and choose to travel, free, and leave dog !

Funnily enough, none of the above. He wanted a body that could feel. And there he was just leaving because he didn't want to pretend to be somebody else.
