Now that 'Novel' is done, it's time for the prose edition! Fun fact: this chapter wasn't in our original outline at all. However, as we began working on putting together our first Canvas chapters, we realized there was a need for a bit of a break in all the heavy energy of the story, and a chance for Jonah and Mercy to get a little bit closer.

So, Novel was actually written way later than the chapters before or after! Almost two years later!

Enjoy!

I find that this is the perfect way to revisit the chapter in full. It’s quite satisfying, especially since we read the chapter in parts each week, and so once the chapter is done, reading the prose sort of brings it all together well

Thank you! We realize the prose editions aren't everyone's cup of tea, because they're a bit of a time commitment... but we have them already written, so we figured there's no harm in posting them! I'm glad you enjoy the read 🥰 -Laurel

It's so neat to be able to read this! Thank you for posting the prose! 🥰

Finally found the time to read this. Very fun to reread the chapter from another medium/format. Just as a relaxing break from all the tension, with some little more details added to the characters as well. Thanks for the prose, always excited when one is posted.

Confession: I’m actually saving these for my next long car drive. That said, I’m so -excited- to see just how much the same story changes with just a perspective shift and a switch in format!
