Hey guys!

Let me start by saying that I (hopefully) solved my GPU crashing issue.

For those who don’t know, I’m currently using a 3090, and I also have a 5090 that’s not in use yet because I’m waiting for Daz (the software I use to render) to officially support it outside of alpha. My 3090 started crashing a few months ago while I was wrapping up the previous update, and instead of spending time debugging the issue, I focused on finishing the last few renders so I could get the update out.

Anyway, hopefully I’m not jinxing it, but switching to a new power supply seems to have fixed the problem.

Now to the actual dev update:

This is probably the most challenging update I’ve worked on.

While I was working on V0.10, I already had a pretty clear idea of which scenes I wanted to include in V0.11.The TTricky part was figuring out how to start the update in a way that ties everything together and keeps the pacing smooth.

Because I didn’t want to stare at a blank screen for weeks, I started working on several scenes separately. For some of them, I didn’t even set the lighting yet because I wasn’t sure whether they’d be night or day scenes.

Now that I’ve finally locked down the structure, I can say I’m really happy with how the update is shaping up.

And here's the current dilemma:

I came up with a new scene that wasn’t part of the original draft, and it ended up becoming a pretty big one.It includes all the main characters, plus some side characters and a ton of extras in the background.

Just rendering a single frame is already pushing the limits of my GPU’s memory. The scene looks awesome so far, but it’s incredibly slow to render.

If I see that it’s holding back the entire process, I might do what I did in the past: release the main scenes first, and then follow up with this larger bonus scene that ties everything together and adds even more content.

Translation Update

I also finished implementing full translation support in my engine, and I want to give a huge thanks to @Azexor for translating the entire game to French!

Right now, he’s busy with some personal stuff and hasn’t had time to fully test the translation or report issues. So if you fit any of the following, I’d love your help:

If you’re French and want to help me test the game (V0.10) and make sure everything is fully translated, let me know.

The game is also translated into Portuguese, up to version V0.9. If you’re a Portuguese speaker and want to help with finishing the translation or just do some testing, I’d really appreciate it.

If you speak a different language and want to contribute by translating LSS into your language, I’d love to hear from you.

You can message me here or, even better, reach out on Discord.I’m heading to sleep soon, but I’ll reply to you tomorrow if you contact me.

Thanks again for your support and patience.

Cheers 🍻,TTrick

Previews are great, I'm talking about her getting in-game content. Appreciate your efforts, thank you.

You might just want to try Daz Alpha with the 5090, because if it is a memory issue it is probably off loading into local storage instead of RAM on your CPU, you might be able to configure CPU offloading which might speed it up. But I would try the ALpha because lacking VRAM takes process from seconds to hours sometimes. And this is a large job.

One of the best VN game of the genre I’ve ever played. Thanks for the masterpiece – it’s a historical game 👌🏼

the 5090 is the scripts that break, work arounds you have to do for the skin textures of some things like goldenpalace, when it comes to the alpha....nothing to do with memory issues. Has to do with iray not working in the old version. When you are a dev and have a timeline to try and keep to switching to an unfinished product just isn't wise, especially fighting things you don't know about yet. And i'm glad the power supply fixed his issue.
