Dev update (Patreon)

Hey guys!

Here’s a dev update on what’s been going on lately.

Let’s start with some boring technical stuff:

In my last post, I mentioned I was having GPU issues and that I ordered some thermal paste and pads to try and fix the crashes, which I thought were caused by heat spikes.

So I got my order, opened the card, got a little scared, and also realized I didn’t have enough pads.I’m usually very technical, but for some reason, I was afraid to ruin the card even further.

I ended up finding a guy online who could replace everything for me really cheap, and I drove to him the next day.

I don’t want to jinx it again, but ever since he replaced them, no crashes have happened.The GPU temp also dropped by around 20°C, which pretty much confirms that overheating was the issue.

That was the last thing I could try to fix this card. If it starts crashing again, I’ll just buy a new one, since Daz doesn’t fully support my 5090 yet.

Development news:

Now that my GPU isn’t crashing, I’ve been able to make tons of new renders and animations.My PC is basically working overtime to catch up on the time lost during those technical issues.

After thinking about it a lot, I decided how the next version will play out.

There will be two versions.

The upcoming one will start out normally, continuing the previous update like always.But then I’m doing something I’ve never done before.

Because I don’t work on scenes in order, I usually leave them out, and you only get to play a small portion of what’s actually ready.

So this time, once you reach the point where things make sense story-wise, you’ll get the option to jump to other scenes. I’ll add a bit of context to explain when they’re supposed to happen.

For anyone who wants to avoid spoilers, there will be a clear message telling you to quit the game at that point.And for those who want to see more, you’ll be able to continue and view those scenes.

Of course, those scenes won’t be fully complete, but the choice will be yours.

Hopefully, this approach makes everyone happy.

I don’t have a specific timeframe for release, but I can guarantee I’m working a lot of hours to catch up and get it done.
