Hi y'all, if you're planning to subscribe to my Patreon through the iOS App Store, they're going to start adding their 30% app store fee to your membership in November. If you sign up on a browser on your computer or phone, you can avoid the fee. I don't know much more about this but just wanted to make sure you were aware!

Yes, apple is imposing a 30% upcharge on all commerce that innitiates via an iOS app. Users who pay $10 to a creator would be charged $13+ and the Creators get no additional financial benefit. The Irony is, using the patreon app is still totally free, you just need to ensure when you initially sign up to be a patron of someone you don’t do It using the app. (you can circumvent this additional charge by signing up via browser on your phone, or like IXI mentioned above, computer.)
