I think it's gonna be goooood! The surround sound mixes I'm using to isolate certain things blew my mind. What's your favorite part of Heresy?

I’m very partial to the first verse. But as I’ve said it’s one of my top 10 NIN songs so I love it all

My favorite part is the very beginning: the synth is so "ear grabbing" and then those DRUMS!!

Yes! The lyrics are some of the best! I think it might mainly be the effect he has on his voice(s) on the first verse for me though. That made the hair on my arms stand up when I was young. My Trenty sense was tingling

Andrew Hussey

It's hard to explain, when the synth first comes in the initial rhythm sounds dissonant or off kilter and right as the rhythm section kicks in, 7 or 8 seconds into the song it all seems to mesh together cohesively all of a sudden...I always found it supremely satisfying. The rhythm section of that song is just...a philosophy lol Can't wait to see the analysis :)

Scott Gentzen

That section after the chorus that goes into the second verse. The guitar lead driven with the kick.

The chorus guitar riff! The riff itself is quintessentially industrial, and the tone is like... soft, but also crunchy at the same time? It's a texture that's unique to Trent's productions and I love it.

Very well said - I completely agree!

Yeah same, I love the way he's singing and how it's processed. It's fucked up in the best way.

A master of contrast, that one.
