Just start throwing out suggestions in the comments and if there are any trends, I'll create a poll to narrow things down! If there are no trends...well...I'll have to pig one at random. 🐖

PROBABLY just piano but...who knows. Sometimes vocals happen.

In this twilight or various methods of escape!

Brian Hard

Congrats!! "Right Where It Belongs" please.

Part of me wants to say Starfuckers just to see what happens haha. But those answers above me are fantastic choices! I vote In This Twilight probably

The Day The World Went Away Into The Void ...or if a HTDA cover is ok, The Space In Between

Kai Ellis

Definitely The Day The World Went Away. Would also be cool to hear you interpret Down In It. That's such a "dated" song that deserves a refresh.

Etvid

Just Like You Imagined

Duncan Edwards

Happiness In Slavery. But as an upbeat pop song.

Missy

Just Like You Imagined!! With transcription, pretty please.

Philip Sharp

I love the suggestions so far. I think "Zero Sum" would be an interesting challenge as its sound leans so heavily on its noisy, dynamics-riddled production, and as its delivery is at times sparse and languid. But, with its straightforward piano parts, I'd be fun to see how to turn it into a distilled, fully-concentrated piano piece.

Kai Ellis

Yes this. Yes. Yes. Yes.

A Warm Place: my favorite of all time, though it'd likely be too easy.. Somewhat Damaged: Would be interesting to see what this'd look (sound) like in pure piano.

Wayne Bristol

And All That Could Have Been We're In This Together

Andrew Hussey

A warm place would be a great option, it's one if my all time favorites but it's...open enough I guess, to have a whole slew of personal interpretation and improvisation that I would kill to hear from you

Andrew Hussey

Somewhat damaged would be surreal lol, one of my favorites from that album but it's so punchy and so aggressive...almost all chromatic ascending notes, it would be an art form making it work on piano...

Brian

And all that could have been.

Oooooh. Okay, this is cool. Edit: the enter key sends the post, good to know Lots of great recs in here, so I'll toss out one that's a bit stranger: This Isn't the Place, off of the Add Violence EP. It's bass and drone heavy (the transient heavy, 808ish bass in particular feels like a cousin to Radiohead's Nude bassline), and it'd be really interesting to hear how that comes out the other end as an acoustic/ambient track. Otherwise, cosigning the And All That Could Have Been suggestions. Top 5 track for me, easily.

I loooooove This Isn't The Place. Want you to know that a cover of this will happen at some point no matter what.

Christophe

Not sure if you haven’t already done this, but: Beside You In Time.

Nik Teague

There's loads of NIN possibilities - I love the wretched... Or perfect drug maybe an interesting one. Not in this context but a stripped down cover of a drowning by how to destroy angels would be cool

The Day The Whole World Went Away

I second "And All That Could Have Been" from Still. That song is so hauntingly beautiful - "please take this and run far away from me" - such a dark and honest line. It is my favorite song by Trent. A purely piano version of that would be amazing.

Ruthie Ward

That's what I'm talking about; those notes are SO amazingly frenetic.. I fucking love it!
