I can't wait to learn this one myself! It's just as haunting as the original but with some new melodies that punch me in the gut.

Thank you so much for transcribing this. I've done my best to fill in some of the gaps between this version and the studio one but I can't wait to give yours a try.

Let me know how it goes! I should play this today, it's good for the soul.

AATCHB is always a gut punch for me because personal reasons, but I can't wait to see you play it.

Awesome Ixi! I primary subbed for the sheet music. I finally put Sibelius back on to my studio pc as I try to up my ear dictation game. edit: I hit enter by accident here, but had more to add as I am all to prone to do! The AATCHB live version is nice because the passing tones and little flourishes TR adds are never wasted. It gives insight to his compositional mind which I feel is not often true or at least not any sort of source for new information in the pop-rock idiom that we've all known and loved. To be fair all "meta-genres" eventually have their rise and fall - Jazz, Common Practice, Romantic, Post-Romantic/Impressionism. What-have-you. Rock is perhaps the new Jazz from my humble vantage point. This is not a bad thing! Innovation always has a period of imitation and struggle. Just as the passion of TR to push boundaries in that 90s world of Rock by using its convensions i.e. guitar solos, distorted riffs. Yet brought along odd harmonic elements, rhythmic curiosities that spring from programming what rock music treats as the drummer and bassist's domain. Even those defensively calling synths and samplers "fake instruments" and not "real music" started to dig NIN without realizing their minds were being opened! It reminds of how Big Band music was the dominant popular music of the 1930s and 40s but the musicians of the day created Bop and Hard Bop which had the roots of modern Jazz and its points of departure toward becoming a niche art form as Rock and Roll replaced Big Bands and the ballroom with the rock show. Although I prefer classical style notation and theory terminology especially in harmony. I am learning the parallel terminology in Jazz theory and it as been cool. My background is in sequencer driven industrial and avant-garde 80's stuff going back to Throbbing Gristle in the later 70s through to Skinny Puppy in the 80s and early 90s. Later I came to love early-mid 80s Goth and Post-Punk like Killing Joke and Red Lorry, Yellow Lorry. NIN for me was my point of departure towards both in retrospect. And I became a House producer. Sort of forgot! Ahaha. No one liked 4-part harmonies over Hard House and EBM type 4 on the floor. Wonder why? LOL

I appreciate your patience! I'm working on some others right now, including my covers. Any requests? If you'd ever like to take a look at any of my transcriptions before the go public and give me feedback just send me a message :) I'd like to learn more jazz theory and notation personally.
