I just discovered on the Discord that quite a few of you haven't heard Hesitation Marks, or are not familiar. It's different, but I enjoy it and I'd like to introduce you to it, especially my favorite tracks. I'll give you a few things to listen for before each track and I might jam out on the piano a little in between. 🎹

I've been listening to this one over and over lately! I remember when it came out... There's nothing quite like it. I actually really enjoy the remix of "While I'm Still Here." I got it be front and center on my birthday at my alma mater college and it was one of the best experiences of my life 😎 I can't believe it was back in 2013!!

I highly recommend buying the Deluxe version. It has 40+ min of Trent commentary at the end of the album.

Just finishing this. Thank you for a way to watch this! Hesitation Marks and Year Zero used to be impossible for me to listen to. Couldn't do it. Hated both of them. But somehow they now both compete for my top spot. Year Zero usually wins, but I just can't get enough of Hesitation Marks. Though I must agree that while the drums are PRISTINELY mixed... The sample choices themselves often sound cheap and juvenile. It's like they decided to make the very most out of the absolute worst drum samples they could find.

Just found this excellent interview with Trent right before the album was released. At one point he says in the process of making the album they tried re-recording several songs with live drums just to hear what they'd sound like. Funny how works will grow on you and change as you change over time. Yeah I was nervous about saying all that about the drums but it's nice to know it's not just me!
