We're 1 year into my first Patreon and I would luuvvvahh to know how I can make it bettererr for you!  Some content is popular, some doesn't get much love. Help me decide what to keep, what to slash, what to release to the public, what to add!

This survey is 100% anonymous. 10 questions, short 'n' sweet. There's a bonus question at the end and it's very important you get it right!!!!!!!

This might be blasphemy, but I was never a fan of the tier names. I guess I've never been into NIN enough to appreciate that stuff, even after hearing the most direct "Piggy" song. :P

"March of the Pigs" is better than "Pulse of the Maggots" :) More song structure analysis, NiN, Bauhaus?, anything Maynard, QOTSA. I'm a guitar player. But expanding my music theory via the feels is really enriching, and that works from keys.

You'd literally have to start kicking puppies to make me quit this Patreon ❤️ You're a gift and I'm thrilled to be here at the ground level before you have more business than you know what to do with. The piggy tier names are a little like the crazy lipstick you used to wear. It's fun and interesting but doesn't affect my patronage whatsoever and in some ways I like that your content has grown beyond needing any gimmicks. But marketing is marketing and I'm not complaining at all about anything you need to do just to get more folks to notice the channel.

As a hardcore NIN fan, I always liked the tier names. I may be in the minority on this, but meh. I still adore you and your content, and always love the Patron only livestreams.

I second what Ruthie said. I am a hardcore NIN fan too. I dropped my other Patreon so I could increase my support to you. (I would never NOT be one of your patrons) I regret that I can rarely tune in on livestreams and wish I could participate more; but have little time I'm afraid. So it's not you...it's me... :) Thank you ixi! I have no one to share NIN with you and your channel are very important to me.

I think the tier names are cool! I don't think it would be a stretch to say that NIN is probably the common thread most of us share. At the same time, it's not nearly the most important thing about the channel/patreon. That would clearly be the puns.

haha ;) By song structure analysis do you mean looking at how the verse/chorus/bridge etc. fit together? More Maynard and QOTSA are highly likely :) And of course NIN.

When I say “song structure”, mostly I mean harmonic analysis, and how the various notes, motions, and timbres evoke emotions. You are so very communicative in these areas!

Happy to participate in this survey. I think the titles are a little weird but no big deal. I saw your comment on youtube about one of your videos being blocked. Was that because of copyright? Are your other NIN analyses videos in danger of being taken down? Or are you able to use the music through fair use?

Thanks for filling out the survey Kevin! Yes some of the listening parties are getting blocked due to music copyrights. The NIN vids are fine luckily. Other publishing companies are more strict about it, especially if we listen to a whole album.
