A great place to start your DCD journey and dip your toes into the water of Brendan and Lisa's musical magic. Having said that, the albums which came AFTER this retrospective are where I spend most of my DCD listening time. Into The Labyrinth carries the "medieval" classic sound to a deeper richer level (is it me or are these early recordings missing a certain depth - a rich bass "bottom end"?). 1996's Spiritchaser leans more heavily into a sort of aboriginal sound (while borrowing from the Beatles and other western classics, as only DCD can pull off). 2012's Anastasis borrows from Greek and possibly Middle Eastern sources Well, I know what I'll be listening to today...and looking forward to the 24th!

My two favorite DCD songs ("Don't Fade Away" and "Rakim") aren't on this album. I will still try to join!

No, that's Toward the Within - the live album that came after this one :( I wish it was that one - those are two FANTASTIC songs.

I can't express to you enough how excited I am for this. I don't know, I might start pre-gaming

Wow, that band was a big part of my 90's. Did anyone here get exposed to all through this in WZBC in Boston?

I guess cold is the best. It's world music and to begin to describe it won't do it justice anyways. It's a journey that only needs the least amount of bias to be enjoyable.

Maybe Ixi also falls a little bit in love with DCD and we can do Toward the Within also! A man can dream ;)
