This is a live rendition of Lisa Gerrard's 'Sanvean', which I prefer to the album version. Lisa's vocals are not of this earth and, for me, this song is utterly devastating in its beauty. https://youtu.be/xfgl57vINmw

The Jezabels - Horsehead https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5kivbMmyIF4 a sidenote: if happen to make a shoutout, my name is just a Nordic version of good ol' biblical Thomas, pronounced the same, spelled differently. I'm not a total stranger to being called "Doom-ass", though xD

David Bowie, "Sunday" https://youtu.be/Dyu64eREmP0 Some fun facts about the song: "Sunday" is from Bowie's 2002 album Heathens. While Bowie had never stopped making music, this was considered a comeback album of sorts, as it featured what was widely regarded as some of his best songwriting in a decade, and as a special treat, the album saw Bowie reuniting with legendary producer Tony Visconti, who had produced Bowie's iconic "Berlin Trilogy" of albums, which includes Low, Heroes, and Lodger. Much like the Berlin trilogy, Bowie opted to record the album in a fairly isolated environment, this time at Allaire Studios in the Catskill Mountains. One unexpected benefit of this was that while scouting the studio Bowie met drummer Matt Chamberlain, whom Bowie recruited to play on the album. Chamberlain has played with just about everybody, including Bruce Springsteen, The Wallflowers, Elton John, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden - most notably while Soundgarden was on a co-headlining tour with Nine Inch Nails back in 2014. That tour was famous for Nine Inch Nails playing "The Perfect Drug" live for the first time ever at Red Rocks Amphitheater. It's hard not to interpret the song "Sunday" as being a response to 9/11 - it was released a year after the event, and the lyrics do sort of demand that interpretation - but Bowie has said the song wasn't inspired by it at all.

Usually good to also list the artist and name of the song just in case there's any problem with the link :)

OMG !!! I totally missed it !!! Just went to see the January replay that I forgot I missed, and I'm really glad the reactions were positive (especially in the chat) :) So i submit a french band called "Last Train" (they sing in english) with the title "Disappointed" (there is some serious NIN inspiration on this track) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHDVnAa9zvk

Hi y'all, submissions are now closed for this month!

I saw the Dead Can Dance about five years ago, just so I could hear Sanvean live. I completely agree, it was very special. This version is by far my favourite, and is taken from the wonderful 'Toward the Within' live album, which I listened to religiously every night before going to sleep. There's a moment in this performance (around the 2:19 mark) where Lisa's voice gently breaks and flows into a beautiful chord change - there are very few songs that have this brief second of sublime greatness that just floors you, and this is one for me. If there is a heaven, then I want this to be the song that greets me.

Oh I missed that one 😅 Thanks!
