Some of you saw my announcement on Discord that Elle Lassiter, one of my very first Patrons and student of 2 years, passed away unexpectedly at the end of July. This is a real loss for our community, and my heart hurts. I can't imagine what her family is going through. She wrote fiction and had two cats, Dillinger and Destro, who always came to visit/cause mayhem during our lessons. We laughed constantly. This was our last lesson together.

She was animated, funny, smart, creative, with a secretly beautiful singing voice and untapped musical talent...and she had impeccable taste. She will be so missed. To honor her deep passion and infectious excitement for music, I'd like to listen to the tracks she brought to the group together, tomorrow starting at 12noon. She told her friends how much this community meant to her, so please know that if you ever interacted with her, you brought joy to her life.

She took weekly lessons with me for 2 years and exposed me and my Patreon community to so much great music at livestreams. To honor her, we listened to the memorable tracks she brought to us, from TDEP to Cocteau Twins to TOOL and beyond. My thoughts are with her family, friends, and furbabies.
