We're listening to Everyone Into Position by Oceansize! I hadn't heard this band until one of you fine folks brought "A Homage to a Shame" into a listening party and I was blown away. I gotta hear more! See you then. Replay will be available.

😮 One of my all time favourite albums! It might nearly be time to make you listen to Cardiacs!

Prolly won’t be able to make it, but I’ll be sure to watch the replay. It’s a great album, maybe my favourite of theirs, I’m sure you’ll all enjoy! Awesome riffs and some great harmonies.

Absolutely love this album! The video is blocked on YouTube (at least for me in Canada) - any chance of a Patreon reupload?

If you press play on the video above you should be good! I just removed the link from the post, sorry for the confusion!

Andre Hupe

Doh! That works, no idea why I didn't try the embedded video. Thanks!!

The Band ''Amplifier" is another one. I think they share some members although their music isnt as dark as Oceansize. It's more fun actually. Their first album came out in 2004 and It's just amazing. Still mostly undiscovered. I'd recommend the song "Neon" by Amplifier if you wanna get a taste of it.

Klors

I agree! The Astronaut Dismantles HAL got me into Amplifier, and getting into Amplifier is what got me into Oceansize!

Marco Cleve

For me it was Amplifiers first album that made me a fan. "One Great Summer" is I think one of the most uplifting songs I've ever heard.

Cardiacs are incredible!

Unfortunately the drummer was in a car accident I believe in America and became hooked on Oxycontin, which, being an opiate, had a severely detrimental effect on his drumming and ultimately led to the breakdown of the band. There's footage of some of those final gigs but I don't want to share them because I find it heart-breaking. They were a truly wonderful band an I'm still gutted they are no more.
