Today we’re stepping into the Ohrenje documentary featuring MISA — the quiet heartbeat of BAND-MAID. She doesn’t demand attention… she just earns it. Every note, every groove, every unspoken moment of focus feels like its own form of storytelling.

We’re on a journey with this band, and each new piece of their story reveals something deeper — about them, and honestly, about us too.

Thank you for being here and exploring this world with me.We’re eating good. 🍽️🎶

The unsung hero in the back tuning the guitars.. is Daisuke... or Dai-chan as the girls call him. He has been with the band since nearly the beginning... and is a very good guitarist in his own right. His sound checks often get applause.

I love these documentaries, can never watch them too much.

'Miku Kobato'(small pidgeon/dove)' and 'Misa' are stage names. Misas real name is unknown while Miku used another name ('Mika ...') during her early years before Band Maid (listen carefully during her documentaries). But it is not approved if that was her real name. Privacy for artists is really important in Japan. For example: We might never know if one of 'our girls' are in relationship or even married... ;-)

Everything is uncertain in Japan when it comes to private data (which is fine and fully understandable)

The accent thing is very real. I have a friend that I met in college who said he was born and raised in Virginia until he was about 6 or 7 before his family moved to the Syracuse NY area. He told me he had a very thick Virginia accent and the teasing in school got so bad his mom had to send him to speech therapy to erase it so kids would leave him alone.

Saiki is the only one (WE THINK) uses her full real name. Kanami and Akane most likely use their given names but the family names are 100% stage names and Misa is just Misa. Miku Kobato is also a pseudonym.

Miku's Documentary will really hammer home exactly what this band went through to make it. It wasn't fun for quite a while.

Well, both Misa and Kanami are very influenced by Saiki's judgement... Also, about the tuning guy, i think Kanami and Misa can tune their instruments by ear since they both have perfect pitch (Kanami for sure, at least).

Oh I definitely know they can tune them, but during a live show they’re bus playing so there are techs that help set different things up throughout the show.
