I agree with you about the lights at the end. I've pondered the symbolism of Tyler shaving his head a lot. We see it in Car Radio where it could be seen as good or bad, Levitate where it seems to be a good thing as he is in Trench with the Banditos, and here in Snap Back. But here it seems more like it's representing the loss of progress and going back to square one. I toyed with the idea of it being an act of penance, but came to the conclusion that in each of these instances it might just be a 'reset' moment in the cycle, because amongst the vocals in this song, way back in the mix, it says "yeah yeah grow it back". So, like, it's ok, you can 'grow it back' and start again. Would be interested to hear what you MM or anyone else thinks about the symbolism of his various head shaving? Fun fact - his Mum used to cut his hair in that checked cape. Some of his expressions are the same as in a post of it from years ago. Definite nod to it. I will drop the photo in group chat :)

I adore this song. Tyler’s eyes in this video make me so sad… i don’t know what it is but I can really see what he’s saying by his eyes

Obviously I'm a newbie, but I connected it with the Lore and preparation for battle....battle against Dema and in real world application, battle against his inner demons. I also wondered about the lights at the end.

This one is my fave from Clancy. It really stuck with me through 2024 and gave me the same feeling that Redecorate did

Also fun little thing, the fabric he has wrapped around himself has been used for a while. There's a picture of his mom cutting his hair and hes wrapped in the same sheet

You’re right, this was the first music video they filmed for this album ( for obvious reasons). And speaking of lights.. while he’s dancing around at the end you notice on the ceiling ‘three lights are lit, but the fourth one’s out’ callback to “ The Judge”. I’ve heard some people say the same thing was also visible in the Shy Away video during the parking lot shots, but that one isn’t as obvious to me.

Nick-ns6nv put something important in your youtube comments that I don't know if anyone has mentioned... I'd forgotten about it. In 2017 Tyler posted a photo his hands under a running tap, washing off the Blurryface paint. Nick has I think quite rightly linked that to the thing he kicked in '17. He thought he'd beaten Blurryface and all that represents and like you said in your video MM, Tyler says "Oh its you, welcome back to the show".

I always thought this song was about Tyler trying to get in the right head space to perform in front of people again. In the song he says a lot of words that have to with performing. Like bridges, backslide, track. And it goes on.
