Great selection! One thing to note - and many people don't realize the real maintext here, but Start Over is not a happy positive song. If you dig into the lyrics, it's about a abusive, dysfunctional relationship, that needs to 'start over', over and over and over again. It's not a positive thing, and so by the end Saiki finally is saying 'I don't give a fuck about saving this anymore', as we see the woman once again in a torn up apartment. One thing, Miku does not write sweet romantic love songs. Start Over, Choose Me, Puzzle - these are very real looks at how people deal with romantic feelings, and it's kinda - not great mostly. Even for Afterlife, she gets to yell for the young woman in the song that can't figure out what to do with her life, but doesn't want to be manipulated - 'DON'T SAY YOU LOVE ME!'. Yeah, the people in her songs tend to not have very good romantic lives. LOL. Given what we know about her own family history ofc, it's not terribly surprising, but the only love songs she tends to write that are totally positive and encouraging are really about - the fans. Great stream, I wish I could have caught it live!
