"The friends decided to relax at a new restaurant, chat a bit, and unwind. The conversation didn't go well."

+ small sketch

I've always struggled between "mass" and color.Because color increases the time it takes to work by 2-3 times, and color catches the eye, I'd always think, "Now I'll paint the mass in 2 days, then I'll apply color for a whole month." So I didn't paint large masses, but rather something simple. But I love mass because it's easy to look at a drawing with your eyes scanning it. Where each character is busy, where there's a group of people, and you have to look at each one to understand what they're doing. It's easier to convey emotions between characters, or to paint large structures.

I'd like to focus more on line art and mass, and on a more complex scene without relying on color.I'll add small shadows and highlights for depth and tonal value through grayscale. Breaking up the composition into different tones is a short but beautiful process. and layer one color on top (something like a monochrome), or several,

we'll see what happens.

Your line work has always been my favorite; I'm always very interested in your sketch dumps and bigger scale pieces because of your expressions in face and body. I like the idea of your new direction.

Also very happy to see you draw the crust cousins, Tiff being my favorite, and Brit being great in your style
