I think it was Oberyn or Doran, Elia wouldn't let Rhaegar marry Lyanna if she didn't know about her, she would have wanted to know their children weren't being cast aside in the line of succession but knowing how Elia would have been, she would have prepared letters to her brothers along with Rhaegar and Lyanna explaining everything and answering their children's and families concerns

John M Pogue

Something tells me that either someone sent Doran that letter to further hide the fact that Elia was a part of the relationship between Rhaegar and Lyanna or Doran himself forged that letter to further poison Rhaeny's mind against the Starks.

V_Arko

This is hands down my fav story of yours. I really do wish you could do more chapters of this a month.

Gabe Sarti

I feel like Doran and Oberyn are giant hypocrites. Oberyn has at least eight bastards, and yet they are treated like princesses. Also I feel like they let their bias to Rhaegar cloud their judgement about him. They should have known Elia would have accepted any child between Lyanna and Rhaegar as one of her own. It wouldn’t have surprised me if Varys was the one who wrote the letter

Who wrote that letter will be revealed later. As for Elia’s relationship with Rhaegar and Lyanna, it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows.

I’m glad you like it. I love writing this story too, and I might update it twice next month.

Doran and Oberyn’s pride was hurt when Rhaegar shamed Elia in front of the entire Westeros when he crowned Lyanna as Queen of Love and Beauty. So, neither will be a big fan of Jon’s existence, but one will be smarter than the other.

Robert Hernandez

Yes, that's probably how it started but over time it eventually bloomed into a relationship for the 3

Drinor
>>141484424

Yeah, their start was quite rocky, with Elia telling Rhaegar to go to hell. That all changed when she met Lyanna, but that will be revealed later in the story.

Drinor

Well, she is still young and doesn't have the full picture yet. For all she knows, the Starks, mainly Lyanna, started it all.

Ahmad Bugshan

Hmm if it isn’t Doran or Oberyn then it might be Varys? I think he is the only one capable of knowing such a big secret that Rheagar didn’t kidnapped Lyanna and he and Elia loved her. Creating this fake letter by Elia will make things easier for fake Aegon and the blackfyres to invade Westeros as it will create a divide between two great houses and will prevent them from joining forces. It will also create enough chaos in Westeros to make thing easy for the blackfyres.

John M Pogue

So that may have been written by Elia herself but before she got to know and love Lyanna, someone might have found it and pretended that that is how she felt the whole time.

Drinor

That’s a very good guess. Whatever is the truth or not will be revealed later. The more chaos there’s in Westeros, the easier it will be to swoop in and ‘save’ the day.

Rhaenys is House Martell's bargianing chip... their way of getting a dornish dynasty on the Iron Throne. Her hating the other side of Rhaegar's family is the best way to make sure that happens, so I don't think that was Elia's letter

Very Good Guess. Who wrote the letter is already hinted at in this Chapter. I have already planned on how Rhaenys will slowly look past the fact that Jon is of House Stark and slowly fall in love with him; it will be quite adorable and interesting.

TheWateringWizard

Rhaenys’ character arc is going to be very interesting ! I really wonder who sent such a letter… it’s either Varys to sow more chaos and make things easier for fAegon to come back one day or it could even be Doran as a way to poison Rhaenys against House Stark to make sure she sits on the throne. Anyway very interesting and looking forward to how things develop

Rhaenys's arc involves her learning to trust outside people again. The identity of the person who sent the letter will be revealed much later in the story.

Eva Cole

Great chapter

The letter is giving “let’s assume what happened to lyanna”. How Robert assumed she had been raped with no proof. I can definitely see the author of the letter trying to provoke the Martells the same way. The sad part is the handwriting is probably not even an exact copy (something Doran would usually catch), but is too much in his grief to notice. Either that or he did it himself to push Rhaenys into vengeance. Since Arianne hasn’t disgraced him yet, there’s no reason for her to be passed over. Idk who Rhaenys would wed (most likely Willas). Viserys still weds Arianne. They’re child marries Rhaenys’ and the next king is more Martell than Targaryen. After that, Rhaenys has to realize she must have her grandkids reach out to the other houses. If there are no dragons, you can’t just marry into two houses to have a solid hold on two kingdoms. That’s asking for another future rebellion. That was how they avoided rebellion from other kingdoms (aside from Roberts, but that was on the Mad King). Wed into Dorne, Riverlands, Westerlands, Stormlands, etc. If there are dragons, then forget literally the entire paragraph and just wed all of Jon’s kids from his various wives(if that’s the route you take). Literally, even the Velaryon’s can give a lady but NO women of house Targaryen can wed into outside houses. Fuck everyone else. Lol. Their demise was because Jaehaerys was so focused on outside alliances and didn’t realize how important it was to keep the dragons in the family. That’s neither here no there though. For now, I’ll just enjoy. lol. Loving it so much so far!
