Well, as pointed out in this chapter, he wants advice from different sources. That’s why he opens up to Alicent; he believes he can make better decisions if he is not listening to a single source.

That is fair, I am not speaking badly about the want to explore different sources, but his choice of said source He could have asked his grandmother, the dowager Queen, or Lyonel or any other member of the small council Instead he goes to the daughter of the man he is thinking about firing Love the story ❤️

I love how much in control Alysanne is, made me laugh seeing the flabbergasted Viserys. At least he put Otto in his place! I always love seeing the Red Priest or Priestess tricking the bumbling Faith Militant. Those guys really are tying their own rope around their necks
