Really great chapter, I love how Harry handle everything and turn the tables on Snape. Again great chapter

Erinnyes

Great chapter, really enjoying how you’re handling everyone

Kuronokishi

Beautiful chapter! I hope in this timeline, Snape will become a true professor, and ally of Harry.

As recall, even in canon, there were speculations almong fans that Lily Potter was a direct descendant of Salazar Slytherin through a squib line. Maybe, this timeline will explore this possibility. In addition, as Harry is taking pureblood heritage seriously this time. Maybe, he will take a heritage test to identify his roots.

I will note Harry convinced his housemates that the survival of Hermione Granger was a side effect of his dealing with the troll. I'm not certain at all that he convinced Severus Snape. Somewhere, a back that supports Snape's insistence that Harry Potter must suffer for his father's sins just had another straw placed on it. Whether the back will break before this story ends and what happens then is an open question. Meanwhile, what does Mr. Potter intend to do with the body of the troll? And how will Gryffindor respond to these events? Not to mention Miss Hermione Granger? I impatiently await future developments.

Is James, definitely Harry’s dad? Idk the pause Snape gave about Lilly having him without James and this fanfic being called Slytherins Red Prince(Snape was the half blood prince from his mum) makes me think that’s the case. Being a bit fussy here but if that’s the case, would love to know as personally not a fan of this twist in the fanficdom

Drinor

Yes, James is Harry's dad, that's 100% true, this version of Harry simply takes after his father in more subtle way. Snape's quote is just Snape being Snape.

Once again back to waiting on the next update, wish I started this story when it had more chapters for it lol

Drinor

McGonagall believes that Harry should not need to deal with this kind of thing and feels that he deserves a childhood; she is not against him in any way. Snape is Snape. Flitwick is fascinated by Harry's magical abilities. Dumbledore is actually still on Harry’s side and doesn’t see him as a second Tom Riddle. The other two professors, well, they just want the Troll handled in a different way because of their personal beliefs.

Drinor

Snape believes Harry went out of his way to save Hermione. Harry has plans on what to do with the troll, and it all leads to one thing, getting more control of his life, more powerful, and to never be the boy in the cupboard again.

An extra quick thought on this chapter. Snape seems determined to turn the students in his house into stereotypical Slytherins aka future Deatheaters with little, if any feelings for anyone else (and the few feelings focused only on how the other people will serve their needs.) Massively shortsighted on his part and it's made worse by how many of the students seem to think it's a great idea. I mention this because Snape also seems to be feeding the fantasy of other Hogwarts house students as meat shields or disposable minions. Should the members of Slytherin fall too deeply in that mindset, we can look forward to the day they plan on other students acting as their stereotypes of other houses requires and find Slytherin left alone in the field of life's struggles with no one they can actually depend on to help them. Good work, Professor Snape: Voldemort will find them easy pickings.

I love this fic a lot. I appreciate that you embrace Quidditch rather than run away from it like so many authors do. That said, snape would never take points from his own house. No matter how much he hates Harry. Also, Harry is a little too clever to not get evidence of Snape‘s sabotage with his potions. I hope you pick up the cadence and release schedule a little bit for all your HP fics. I’m a paid subscriber now and I’m worried that all of them are just progressing a little too slowly.
