The big question is why Freida abandoned her own son to Kenny who then left him in the underground to starve and resort to cannibalism. Why would she separate him from her baby sister, who she clearly had a close relationship with to go live a clearly miserable life with a monster.

Wait, that's her son?! Is that why he has purple eyes?! As for your question, perhaps it was to keep him alive from the Reiss Family's massacre although I may be wrong.
