I have goosebumps. House Targaryen has returned. Now the will see why they don’t kneel in front of Gods or men. If I was Aemond I would make it clear to Robb that in exchange for his father life the Free Folks have to pass the wall.

Kartik Dogra

When is the next chapter coming?

Winter

Bro craziest chapters so far and i loved it

Winter

Cant wait

Aemerys

I have a question, you don't need to answer me with details, just yes or no, will the end of this FF be the same as the other FF? I don't think anyone likes tragedy, especially certain winged beings dying, in the fans, we've already suffered enough with the series, seeing the beautiful dragons dying so unfairly and lightly. so, beloved author, watch out, watch out, watch out... we're watching.... >.>

David

Great chapter drinor!!

KristofferXxXxX

House Targaryen has finally regained its former power, which made it so formidable and feared. Especially once the other four dragons arrive! :3

Mason Talbert

With what Lady Olenna and Prince Oberyn were saying to themselves about Jon it proves my point that Ned’s fears about Jon were in fact justified and he had a right to feel concern for Jon’s safety. I’m not saying that he should have taken Jon away but his concerns were legitimate. I also have to say that I’m relieved that Ned’s life will be spared, however I’m very disappointed that he’s being sent to the wall I was hoping that Rhaegar would’ve decided to simply take Robb or any of the other Stark children as a hostage and live with him in Kings Landing in order to ensure that Ned stays in line or even take Benjen hostage. (Drinor I do not mean any disrespect or insult by saying this but if I were to say that I was happy that Ned is being stripped of his titles, lands, and home I would be lying. If I were to say that I was happy Ned was going to the wall I would be lying. But I respect your decision, I hope I didn’t offend you with my thoughts I was just telling you how I honestly felt. P.S overall it was a good chapter).

Spooky

Could we get som oberyn pov and some olenna pov so we can see what they are thinking now that (agarex) is known? Also love it

He could just make it a royal decree instead of possibly ruining what relationship he has with robb and the North by threatening them

Peter Lappin
>>109093895

With ned going to the wall he could become Lord commander and would still be able to see and advice his children

Mason Talbert
>>109093895

I get what your saying but he wouldn’t be able to ever spend time with any of them (All at the same time I mean since they say “There must always be a Stark in Winterfell” and he wouldn’t be able to travel with any of them because he’d be stuck at the wall unless he was sent away for some kind of mission or vacation. Plus I honestly don’t understand how he could be sent to the wall because the night watch vows say “I shall take no wife, father no children” that was one thing that always confused me because how could someone swear that vow when they already have a wife and already have children? It also doesn’t help that Ned being sent to the wall rather than being executed doesn’t make the northerners any less angry that’s part of the reason why Ned being executed and sent to the wall in my opinion is not the right choice, that’s why I think Ned should be spared and allowed to keep his place in winterfell as the lord of house Stark and warden of the north, and have Robb or any of the other Stark children or Benjen sent to live with Rhaegar in Kings Landing as a hostage to ensure that Ned stays in line. I mean that’s what they did to punish Balon Greyjoy when he rebelled against Robert Baratheon so I don’t see why they don’t do the same thing here. Plus you would think that Rhaegar would consider this with how badly he is trying to prevent a war (the way he handled the Tullys is proof of that even though that may change soon) and if even someone with a mindset like Robert Baratheon can keep his cool and make a war less decision you would think that Rhaegar could do it too.

Abyss

Great chapter, literal Goosebumps! When’s the next chapter boss?

GodoftheSeas21

Great chapter.l! Glad you had Aegarax land instead of just fly. Honestly I hope Aegon gets a dragon. Not as big as aegarax but not a baby either. And it would've been cool if Aemon remind the Greatjon of which of the Stark blood had a Northern Eagle and a grown Direwolf. And also which one had to sleep in the servants quarters.

vb

Very climactic moment. I’d hoped that his parentage and the repercussions of that would happen, and then things settle down a little before the dragon was revealed, but this was good yoo

vb
>>109093895

Your stupid bro. I’m saying that as kindly as I can. Ned commited TREASON against the ruling house. If the house in question (house Targaryen) doesn’t exact vengeance in some way, they appear weak. In medieval times like this, weakness is a poison that will kill a house, quickly or slowly. Why would a ruling house take a hostage for treason when the treasonous man (Ned) can be punished and the matter washed away between the feuding houses? Especially since the hostage they’d take (Robb) would be loyal unless very drastic matters were taken, such as Ned getting his head chopped off. I mean he’s loyal as brother would be to Jon, who’s a member of House Targaryen. Why erase that goodwill? There’s no reason too. There was no rebellion, thus, Ned simply saying ‘yo, my bad, I’ll be loyal now’ just wouldn’t work. At all. This was no war, but a singular act, and he will be punished for that singular act. It’s just how it is. Plus, your talking about how Robert took hostages and not Balons head and how it was smart. Tell me, who rebelled agaisnt the Iron Throne TWICE and sacked Winterfell. Oh yea, Greyjoys And for your part against the nights watch, the I’ll father no children spiel. Well, the nights watch was founded to fight agaisnt the others but they like to kill wildings now. Obviously the vows/purpose of the wall now isn’t what it was meant to be at the time of founding. Doubly true since it’s the weakest it’s ever been.

Darth Glorius

Finally, now friend, I'm so sorry but I'm more interested in the reactions of Houses Tyrell, Lannister and Tully to Jon's new status as Prince and his dragon. Will Tywin beat up his daughter and grandson for falling out with who is now perhaps the most powerful man in Westeros? Will the Tyrrels seek to marry Jon off to one of Margaery's cousins or Desmera Redwyne? since after all she is family too and her father has one of the most powerful fleets in Westeros. And most importantly, which of the nobles will be the first to suggest annulling the marriage between Jon and Val?...I think Edmure was instigated by Cersei but Tywin didn't let the opportunity pass either. Sorry mate, but I think the reactions of the mightiest of Westeros to Jon's true identity matter more than dragons right now. But it was a beautiful chapter especially the fight between Rhaegar and Ned, it makes you wonder what would have happened in the cannon if Rhaegar had lived and claimed Jon?

Mason Talbert
>>109093895

Look I wasn’t trying to start an argument I was simply saying why I think sending Ned to the wall is not a good idea and why I think killing him isn’t a good idea either. As I mentioned a couple of chapters ago I am very well aware that my opinion on this subject is not a popular one so it doesn’t surprise me that I would get insulted by someone in this comment section. I’m not stupid as for why would Rhaegar take one of Ned’s family members well it’s simple Ned took Jon away from him and in his eyes he can do the same “You took my kid I’ll take your kid” I’m not saying that it will make him loyal I’m saying it will keep him in line because if he were to step out of line Rhaegar can act on it with Stark hostages. Plus you can’t say that sending Ned to the wall will make the problem between the houses go away instead that could cause the people of the North to rebel because even though house Targaryen has a dragon now that doesn’t exactly mean people won’t rebel and doesn’t automatically guarantee victory they could end up building weapons to shoot the dragons down with ballistas that they could build. Also I’ve already talked about the possibility of Ned’s punishment if house Targaryen is so worried about looking weak then take 2 or 3 of Ned’s children, you don’t have to get revenge by physically harming someone or sending them away. Also Robert Baratheon was killed by those wounds he got from a boar so he couldn’t exactly do anything about the Greyjoys plus Theon went to the Iron Islands because Robb trusted him, basically the Greyjoys were given a second chance and they blew it maybe they saw an opportunity since Robert and Ned were both dead at that point to keep the Greyjoys in line, and if I Remember correctly I believe Balon lost 3 sons during the Greyjoy rebellion so for him to rebel a second time proves that he’s not very smart. Regardless I still stand by what I’ve said and I’m not changing my mind, but I hear you and I respect your opinion, and if for some reason you feel offended by anything I’ve said I’m sorry I didn’t mean to.

vb
>>109093895

Yea I was too harsh. That’s my bad. But I stand by my opionion. Jon being of the North and fostered with his siblings, even tho they cousins, has the ties between both closer than they’ve ever been between the north and the throne, even with Ned committing treason. No reason to piss on that by punishing the children for the sins of the father, if that was the case, Rhaegar would be dead and lauded as another mad king.

Kinggn

great chapter as always. can you tell us the release date of the next chapter.

Mason Talbert
>>109093895

It’s ok I forgive you, and I understand that your standing by your opinion I am too, but the thing about the children is I’m not sure if it will make a difference on the Stark children’s feelings about Jon. What I mean is earlier we saw how emotional Arya got at the possibility of Ned leaving since he heavily implied that he would be gone soon and Jon felt a bit guilty based off of Arya’s emotional rant and now he fears that all of the Stark children may hate him for whatever happens to Ned especially Sansa since she’s probably been the coldest to him out of all of the Stark children plus she was very upset with him for not naming her the queen of love and beauty so it’s possible that it could just add fuel to the fire. So some of the Stark children could blame Jon for whatever happens to Ned, and even hate him for it I mean the people of the north very clearly blame Jon for whatever happens to Ned the Great Jon Umber made that very perfectly clear. So it’s possible that Rhaegar taking one of Ned’s children as a hostage or hostages may not shatter any bonds with Jon that could already be broken. I just feel there’s other options to explore rather than execution, the wall, stripping of lands titles and homes.

Kelvin

Been waiting patiently for this well worth it

Kaio Ushigami

What a great chapter, had me on my toes, very glad Ned is going to live…I hope Jon still has that sibling relationship with the stark children. Can’t Waite for the next chapters.

Longclaw16

And the day has come. The Dragons return! Was interesting to see the private reactions first, only now for the reckoning to begin. Catelyn and the Tullys deserve cummuppance, but Rhaenys and Dany's reaction to the dragons is also something I very much want to see. Dany gets Cannibal, which leaves Morning and Silverwing for one of Rhaenys and Aegon each. Wonder who gets what.

This story will not follow ‘Targaryen Dragons’ if that’s what you’re asking. This is a rewrite, after all, but always remember Ramsey’s words. ‘If you think this has a Happy Ending, then you haven’t been paying attention’

Drinor
>>109093685

Well, Cannibal is going to be both good and bad news. Thank you for reading my Story.

Drinor
>>109098969

Glad you liked it. The thing is, the lords of the north, the majority of them think that Ned did the right thing by bringing Jon/Aemon to the north. As for Jon, he doesn’t like to talk much about his unpleasant memories in Winterfell.

Your welcome your doing your thing on a lot of these stories great job

TheWateringWizard

I’m gonna react bit by bit to this chapter as I’ve been expecting it for a while…. Why does Arthur’s order make everyone so tense? It’s an order from the King, that’s it. It’s absolutely not GreatJon’s place to question anything. The Lords don’t even know what the King wants. Why would they think it’s a bad thing ? “ “ You mean just like my big brother. You mean just like my father." “??? They were killed by Aerys, a fucking madman, who was dead by the time you brought back Jon. This is a terrible argument and absolutely not the first one you should bring up when defending yourself! By the way, the whole “I would’ve brought my sister and Jon back North” is hilarious. As if Lyanna would’ve let him haha. The reveal to all the Lords was great, as I had hoped. Lord Umber… *shake my head* he’s very loyal which is good, but he’s stupid. Aemon didn’t betray anyone. Ned did, he betrayed the North and his family. At least Ned will go to the Wall which is much better than him dying. Even though Aegerax kinda stole the show before that could be announced. Can’t wait for the next chapter ! If Olenna so much as thinks to hurt Aemon, she better be quartered and burned to shreds

TheWateringWizard
>>109105173

The problem for all those greedy, opportunistic lords is that Jon has all the power now with his dragon. If he says he’s married to Val, he’s married to Val ^^ Can’t wait to see an idiot Lord try to pull something like this

TheWateringWizard
>>109093895

My opinion is: why would Ned and his family’s feelings be more important than the Targs? Ned committed treason, why should he be spared just for the sake of his family and the Northern Lords? What about the feelings of the Targs? They thought Lyanna and her child had died all this time? They want justice, payback why should that not be as important ?

TheWateringWizard
>>109093052

Robb might even just agree if Jon explains the situation to him. Sure, feelings might be a little raw right now but once feelings have cooled down, an explanation would be the best solution. Even a royal decree could (and most likely would) piss off everyone. Robb and the Northern Lords need to agree to let the Free Folk in for the situation to remain cool.

Drinor
>>109105173

Thank you for reading my Story. Don’t worry. All the important people will have a pov and their reactions.

Drinor
>>109116831

Thank you for reading my Story. The Sibling relationship will never be the same.

Drinor
>>109125750

The lords will have very mixed reactions when it comes to the dragon, but the Hightowers will be the most displeased ones, them and the Faith of the Seven. Thank you for reading my Story.

Drinor
>>109093895

House Targaryen's feelings are important, but Jon doesn’t want a war to start. Imagine if he would need to unleash his dragon against Northern people and kill people he had known in the North.

Ripe
>>109118611

I'd say Silverwing goes to Rhaella... it would make for a nice symbolism if she get Good Queen's dragon. Aegon probably gets that 5th dragon we haven't met yet (there was one reported in Westernlands, I think). And of course, Sheepstealer should also be somewhere, most likely in Vale if she wasn't killed by Canibal during his stay there.

Darth Glorius
>>109105173

I think the reactions of House Stark and the other northerners including Jeyne and Theon (for being their hostage/ward) should have a whole chapter.

Loyalist
>>109093052

I get it but while they may be stubborn to a fault ( so much that is very irritating) I don’t think that they would do anything. There is a dragon between them and treason, soon to be more.

Loyalist
>>109093895

I still think that Ned did it in great part for revenge. If that is correct I would for him to admit it to himself and his family.

Loyalist
>>109098969

These are morons if they really think he did the right. How would they fill if their true born son were to be kidnapped and raised as bastards.

GodoftheSeas21
>>109098969

Yea I definitely think they are morons. However if Lord Stark actually took him because he feared for his safety then it is understandable. Wrong but understandable. If Aemon was treated good then it's different. But he wasn't. And then thw Northern Lord's definitely have no reason to blame Aemon if they were to here how he was treated. Without speaking about everything makes him look like the bad guy that turned his back on the North rather than Lord Stark being the bad guy

Hunter bear

I am shaking with excitement over this story I love it I cant wait to read more

Mason Talbert
>>109093895

I’m not saying it’s not as important but if they go to war then they put a bunch of lives on the line, and even though it’s understandable but some people could consider it selfish to go to war and put so many lives on the line all for the sake of revenge. Plus Rhaegar doesn’t want to do anything rash or be looked at the same way that people looked at his father so that’s another thing to think about. Also they have to keep their heads on straight and be reasonable and not let their emotions cloud their judgement, but I did not in any way shape or form say that their feelings didn’t matter that’s why I said that Rhaegar should just take some of Ned’s children or Benjen hostage I think that it actually could be quite effective because it would really effect Cat and probably tear her up on the inside. So in a way it won’t just affect Ned it would also affect her too, and I think that Sansa would be a pretty good candidate for that hostage role considering how she views the south and tourneys (Even though she is starting to fall for Domeric Bolton, personally I’ve always like her with him). Arya would also be a good candidate since she doesn’t want to be a lady and she could fight and train with Jon and the sand snakes if they wanted by going to Dorne, plus it’s no secret that Arya is Jon’s favorite cousin out of the Stark children and there’s no doubt in my mind that she feels that way about him too and she openly dislikes her mother, sister, and septa so in a way this could be good for her to escape her mothers control.

E I

Overall, nice chapter, and I feel so good now when it finally happened.🥹

Josef Látr

Great chapter, but could you update before June 10-15, thank you.

Gabe Sarti

Honestly, I am not surprised that Oberyn or Olenna is acting like this. They would both do anything to make sure their blood sits on the Iron Throne. Though I expect Doran to be the Martel that actually plots against Aemon. Love the chapter!!!

Torhelm
>>109098969

I'd imagine they'd feel pride in his accomplishments. Especially now that he's a dragonrider, they'd want to claim the honor of his upbrining in The North.

DJOK DJOK
>>109189659

Agreed but Oberyn is more about the safety of his nephew and niece rather than worried about having his blood on the throne.

J Weeks

Great story so far. Hope you spare Ned the wall and the sword, but I doubt it will happen. Anyways, where is your story Targeryen Reborn? I don't see it. I see it on Wattpad but not here. Weird.

J Weeks

Never mind. It's been awhile

>>109093895

The fact that Ned in this case keeps his head on his shoulders is a great success for him. Rhaegar should have no motive or desire to please the Starks and their children. Treason is treason, beheaded for it. This is not the case in canon where Ned protected Jon by adopting him as his bastard. He STOLEN the prince of the kingdom. Forcibly made him a bastard whose life in reality is worth nothing, as the case of Tully showed. in fact, He did not protect him from anything here) except from expensive featherbeds, delicacies and respect from the nobles 😃😃😃 the boy left home to live behind the Wall, since then his life was literally constantly in danger. And some Stark children as hostages should be more of an additional measure of punishment, and not an alternative in a modified medieval setting. Otherwise, the royal family will seem very weak. and in the future, any lords will do what they want, knowing that there will be no punishment. and if the northern lords suddenly decide that their Warden of the North has been unfairly exiled to the Wall, they should be threatened with taking their children away and stripping them of their titles, rights and names (because that's what Eddard Stark did with the King's son). So they will more vividly imagine what act was committed.

Mason Talbert
>>109093895

I get what your saying but taking some of the Stark family away from Ned is still a punishment even if it isn’t the most severe punishment that can be given out, plus you said it yourself that the lords of the north may think that Ned is being unfairly sent to the wall so they could just go to war over that. Also what’s to stop Robb Stark from going to war with house Targaryen over his father being sent to the wall, because even though House Targaryen has a dragon now it doesn’t automatically mean that they are going to win whatever war or battle they end up fighting in. I also don’t see how taking hostages makes someone look weak, also punishing someone for the sake of not looking weak/appearances sounds kind of selfish even if it is 100% justifiable. But I do get what you’re saying and I respect your opinion but I’m still standing by what I’ve said and I’m not changing my mind.
