The last weekly polls winner was Eurotrip, which will be available this Saturday. Until then here are SOME of the films recommended by you guys. Remember, you can vote for multiple films!Reminder: movies that don't win does not mean they will never be watched, it just means they will be watched later. Please be respectful to each others opinions, we're all just here to have fun and watch movies :)

JakeyShakeyBakeyBoy

The Descent is what gives me claustrophobia and I don’t even suffer from it. Definitely has to be seen! Mind you The Conjuring is excellent too.

Robb

Everest 2015 please or 127 Hours would be fine too

HUGO TORRES

Oh man buried is such an underrated ryan reynolds movie. Even though i know itll come in last i still had to vote for it

FaceMustache

A lot of these are pretty top tier. You’re spoiled for choice, I’d say.

Michal Novotny

Hope The Descent wins, what a movie!!

Chase Lonnergan

I'm good with any if these except The Conjuring. I will not vote for anything related the the Warrens. And I will say that The Descent is the only movie on this list that ever frightened me.

ShōNuff3K

There are 3 that would be good viewing. IMO

Dwight Scarn

The Descent is one of the best horror movies I've seen in a while. Should check out these as well. Frailty (Bill Paxton) The Ritual. Stir of Echoes (Kevin Bacon)

ShōNuff3K

Don't they have two endings for The Descent?

Joe Baldwin

if you do the Descent, please make sure you get the full UK cut and not the US one. The UK one was considered too disturbing and depressing for US audiences and they cut a good 5-6mins off the end

Jason Pratt

I think Arachnophobia deserves a watch, too.

Joe Mallard

Cape Fear, De Niro is fantastic in that role!

William Burnham

The original Cape Fear, with Robert Mitcham as Max Cady is the superior version Also Night of the Hunter is brilliant and well worth a look 😀😀😀

auto

Just a suggestion, but 'Kill List' is a great horror film. Might need to censor a lot from that film though.

Skylar Burns

Buried!? I've never seen that on a reaction poll before! Very cool and unique reaction material.

Viilutaja

Please do not watch any movie posters for The Descent even at the beginning of the video, like You usually discuss whats on the poster. Let the movie surprise you of the very best way! IMDB movie posters will give up too much info for this film! One of the best horror/survival movies I have ever seen! And watch UK version, if possible! I think only poster I approve is this from eBay store, where movie poster can be bought :D https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/FqAAAOSwB09YCrww/s-l1600.jpg If You use this poster, please shout-out! Greetings from Estonia. :)

Rupert Purcat

Just saying you need an Aussie choice as well. Wolf Creek

Tucci

Just a heads up, there are 2 endings to The Descent. UK and US. I believe most people prefer the UK version and that's the one most people react to.

RLYtoxic

I can't wait for The Conjuring, gonna be a good reaction.

Robinson vs. Parkinson's

I should really check to see if you've watched it first, but Hereditary and/or The Exorcist. Hereditary is one of the best horror films I've seen in my 50 laps around the Sun, and The Exorcist is one of the best films, period.

Nathan Jasper

Very few movies can trigger fear as quickly as Buried and The Descent. They get my vote!

Dan

It really seems like Arachnophobia (1990) should be on this list!

Dirge Girl

The Descent (UK Surf).

Karen A

The Conjuring is a very well made horror movie. You will thoroughly enjoy it.

Mykel

Isn't Simone terrified of sleep paralysis? What Lies Beneath. And it will answer a question George had about Harris Ford.

OldBeardedGuyReacts

PLEASE let The Descent win. On a side note, even at its scariest, The Babadook is never higher than a 3 on a 1-10 scale.

Marko T.

Suggestion that fits the theme (heights): The Walk (2015). Its directed by Robert Zemeckis and stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

BangDroid

FYI to everyone, check your poll selections actually stick by refreshing the page. There's a (yet another) bug that's been confirmed by Patreon support regarding this. It only effects polls when viewing the single post with a poll, however if you vote on the poll when it's part of the feed it will work correctly and selections will stick. It doesn't seem to affect everyone either.

Sean Brown

Buried would be traumatic

schnoobs

Buried is sooo good. Probably Ryan Reynolds' best work.

Fathervon

The conjuring, the conjuring, the conjuring.....

Shpadow

Buried is incredibly underrated.

Raymond DeGraw

Looking forward to watching your continued reactions... I hope to these in the future... 1. Alita Battle Angel 2. The Count of Monte Cristo (2002) 3. The Game 4. Labyrinth 5. Little Shop of Horrors (1986)

My name is Jere

Cliffhanger would so cool so they would see better Renny Harlin movie but its not that popular so i doubt IT would never win one these

Brandon Ward

I didn't know I had claustrophobia until I watched The Decent.

lovemoose

I remember watching the descent in my high school film class! It's really good.

Maikeru Dagurasu

Nothing comes close to Cape Fear, a masterpiece.

Scott CineRam

FYI, there's a heavy emphasis on the threat of rape in "Cape Fear". That may affect the way you'd have to edit for YouTube.

TomGas2025

With the Conjuring trilogy you are in for a treat. The conjuring film universe consists additionally witht eh The Nun and Annabelle series whichvarentied rather close to the Conjuring movies.

Rob M

I really hope The Descent wins. I love horror movies but tbh don’t find most of them that scary, but the Descent scares the shit out of me

Jay

It's been a while since my pick led one of these polls, The Descent is so good. Hopefully they don't watch the US version with the alternate ending.

VariantsWatchMovies

Adding The Changeling (1980) with George C. Scott to your ghost story movie list.

Jay

Like others have said, try avoid posters for The Descent. It won't ruin the movie if you do look at them, but it will be much more effective if you go in totally blind.

Greg S.

The Descent for sure!

OldBeardedGuyReacts

I forgot to mention this in my previous comment but if The Descent wins please make an attempt to watch it with the original ending and not the stupid alternate American ending.

Crow

Buried is getting....well....buried. It's a good and uncomfortable movie to watch. Hopefully we'll see it on the channel sometime this decade. I can't imagine how large their movie backlog is now. hahah

Tony2012av

Omg I was hoping BURIED would eventually come on the list!!! But doesn’t look like no one’s voting for it 😞

DM DC

I have to concur with above comments about The Descent. Go in blind no posters, cast or anything. It will be much much more effective. Also I agree to try and get the original ending, it's much better. If you ever watch The Conjuring, well I'd say you'd have to go the full gambit and see all films within the Conjuring universe lol. Annabelle I think is good but one of the best in this franchise I think is Annabelle Creation. The Babadook is a truely masterful creation of a film. I highly recommend that someday for the future.

Reid Mclellan

Cape fear, would be awsome, haven't seen anyone react to that yet

The Gunslinger

Could you please cover Rango at some point? It's an incredible animated film with Johnny Depp. With the likes of Roger Deakins and Hans Zimmer involved.

Jay

De Niro often plays bad guys, but he's never been as nasty and terrifying as he is in Cape Fear. I love that film, but it goes off the rails towards the end.

Jay

I assume George has seen The Simpsons Cape Fear episode? Absolute comedy gold 😂

Thirty Year Old Mulberry Field

Didn’t think “The Descent” still had this kind of crowd but I’m game. Dreams of an apocalypse was a frequent fear for me growing up (might need to ask a shrink about that) so I’ll use this opportunity to mention “Take Shelter” and “Melancholia”.

Marcelo

Hoping you watch “Society of the Snow”. Would fit well on this poll.

Phillyman!!

Another movie you can put on this type of poll in the movie is called 1408. Especially Simone’s type of horror movie if I’m remembering correctly 👍👍

Regular Viewer Bunty Hoven

The Descent, but only if you’re going to watch the version with the original ending.

sarah preston

The original Cape Fear is better

JayF

I'd have gone with Deep Blue Sea over The Meg. Better movie IMO. I went with The Descent on the poll just because it's really the only one I got into. Based on a true story Drama poll suggestion - October Sky Awakenings Trumbo The Insider Cry Freedom Glory The Killing Fields The Right Stuff

Max Krause

Pity that The Babadook isn't doing better, imho it's the best horror movie on this list, tied with The Descent.

Jared Winn

Should be called- Movie Poll: No Matter Who Wins, George and Simone Lose.

GnolRevilo

Any of the top 3 are a good watch.

Justin Hunt

For future polls related to spooky/scary, can you add 'The Empty Man' to the list? It came out during covid and didn't get much publicity but is a fantastic take on some Lovecraftian horror.

Wyatt Nuxoll

These are all great films , but with the two that are in the lead . George will have a fun time editing , and Simone you are gonna need some good comedies to watch afterwards . That is if she can make it through these movies , they are masterful in their ability to put you through the scare ringer

G P

Barry Lyndon Eyes Wide Shut The Royal Tenenbaums Dune (1984) The Game Blue Velvet The Man Who Wasn't There Dollars Trilogy (At least The Good The Bad and The Ugly) Nightcrawler Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971)

John

Thanks as always for the great content. Here is a suggestion for a future poll or movies to watch (Michael Crichton Stories): 1. The 13th Warrior 2. Sphere 3. Timeline 4. Congo 5. Andromeda Strain (1971) 6. Westworld (1973)

Matt O'Keefe

Didn' George say he has a fear of heights? Then he needs to see Cliffhanger. Hahahaha!

NareikAC

How can someone be scared of ghosts? They don't exist

Florian

Conjuring! Lets go! I want to watch it again, but not alone 😅

Kevin Kuma

Not only is "Cape Fear", intense and terrifying, Its also a classic flick, littered with actors who dominated the 90's.

Florian

Reccomendation for Horror: - El Hoyo (The Platform) - The Hills have eyes - Texas Chainsaw massacre - The Rite - The Exorcism of Emily Rose - Das Experiment (2001) Non Horror bur reallife struggle: Marriage Story

sarCC

The Descent is not only, in my opinion, the best horror movie this century, but my favorite movie this century from any genre(please be sure to watch the "original unrated cut"; it's only about a minute longer, but it makes all the difference in the world). As for a future recommendation, since it looks like it'll be a long time before Godzilla Minus One hits the home video market, I highly recommend watching SHIN GODZILLA. It's truly a unique and surprising take on the big guy and is one of the very best Godzilla movies.

L77045

There's a lot of fun ones on there, but just casting one vote for The Meg in the hopes that it somehow pulls off a win.

tundra

Tough choice. On the one hand you have a certified classic in Cape Fear. On the other hand, six mid to weak movies...

JC

Hoping for The Descent and The Babadook. Please add Hellraiser (1987) to the polls!

RawrSaur

Poll is broken. I tried to vote for the meg (Cus hurrhurr) and it wouldn't accept it. I clicked conjuring and it worked. Then I clicked the Meg and it worked. Then I clicked cliffhanger and it didn't work. In the end I voted for The conjuring, Buried and the Meg and I tried clicking the rest, but they didn't work. So yeah, it's borked.

UnlicensedOkie

If you’re gonna watch the Descent, you need to watch Dog Soldiers too

William Rauckhorst

I'd like to recommend the sci-fi thriller "The Sphere." The concept of "personal fears" is a theme of the movie!

Seahag

Please be the original ending for Descent, not that lame jumpscare one.

Maarten Martens

Ooh so many fears yet to unlock. Only saw Cliffhanger so I'm interested to see which rabbit hole we are going to jump in.

Johen Kay

Uh, I've been asking for Sinister for forever now.... WATCH SINISTER.

Persnickity

Just thinking about these movies has me Babadooking everywhere. Descend if you dare. The rest spook too much for me to try

Michael Buhl

The Alfred Hitchcock movie Vertigo (1958) seems like it should be on this poll.

Travis H

I’m voting for Buried which is already terrifying, but then something is revealed half way through, and that is the fastest I have ever turned off my tv. I had to read the wiki on how that movie ended, it was great at what it was doing, but it was too much for me. Normally I would recommend movies based on the current poll but I like keeping my real fears to myself. My joke(?) rec for future fear polls is “Swiss Army Man”, I don’t want my corpse to used for those purposes.

MacGuffinStuff

What an awesomely creative poll, love it. And it made me think of what movies inspired fears in my when I was a kid, all except one are 80s movies, that's Piranha (1978), saw it on TV when I was probably 6 or 7, made me as scared of lakes amd rivers as much as Jaws did the ocean lol. Then it's: Dolls (1987), I still hate dolls. C.H.U.D. (1984), wouldn't step near a sewer drain or manhole cover for all of 1985. Killer Klowns From Outer Space (1988), actually this one was always fun for me. Creepshow 2 (1987), also made me afraid of lakes for about a year. The Gate (1987), in the 80s we had the Satanic Panic, Satanic cults were EVERYWHERE (according to my pastor lol), they'd snatch kids off the streets for human sacrifice, and it was all because of Heavy Metal, and D and D too 🤣 The Hitcher (1986), now that movie is still kind of scary because it could totally happen, and Rutger Hauer is terrifying in that. These are generally lower budget movies, campy, intentionally or not, but good 80s fun.

Grinznmore

Cape Fear, DeNiro, Nolte

Peter Dillard

I think Simone would really like Cliffhanger :-)

Rob Church

The Descent is so good. They should have put "Fall" the 2022 film on there. Really freaky if you are scared of heights.

Brandon Meng

The Descent is definitely a worthwhile winner but totally criminal Arachnophobia wasn't on this poll. Also for future polls: PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER (coming of age drama) PLEEEEEAAAAASE

Kris

The Descent was like... SURPRISINGLY good. I very much expected a much more shallow (no pun intended) horror schlockfest but it actually has a lot going for it, narrative and cinematically

Rachel W

Gonna add this for next scary poll--the shockingly forgotten "Angel Heart"(1987) starring Mickey Rourke and DeNiro. So good, so creepy.

Lyonheart86(BryonH)

romeo and juliet 1996 version with leonardo dicaprio ... of all the reaction channels, i would most be interested to see it here

Nabikon

I'd have to say Cliffhanger out of these because of Ace Ventura 2 Other suggestions: Godzilla (1954) Shin Godzilla (2016) made by Hideaki Anno (Neon Genesis Evangelion) Freaked (1993) has Bill AND Ted in it. Try and spot Ted. Gataca (1997) In the Mouth of Madness (1994) Wrongfully Accused (1998) Friday the 13: The Series (Cinecringe?)

John Neiberger

All of these would probably be fun to watch, but The Babadook is on another level.

Kevin

Please consider these movies: Old school Pineapple Express Minority report This is 40 Prisoners Kingpin I now pronounce you chick and Larry Sausage party Horrible bosses Wreck it Ralph Gangs of New York American beauty The revenant Shutter island 12 years a slave Wedding singer Hall pass Crash Blades of glory Hot tub Time Machine The internship Hitch Big daddy Saving Silverman

Dazzler & Em

I like most of these films, but for me the conjuring, descent and cliffhanger are the strongest. As a personal opinion, I didn't like babadook but then everyone's taste is different and I'm sure there are people out there that arent fans of my preferences.😁

Dazzler & Em

I agree with an earlier comment about adding Dog Soldiers to next horror poll.

Logan Nelson

Buried is a severely underrated movie and deserves more votes!!!

Jacob King

If Babadook doesn’t win you can save it for pride month but it’s definitely worth seeing. Cliffhanger is my favourite Stallone and as a Simpson’s fan George should really get onto Cape Fear. I didn’t vote for The Decent because it does actually touch on my personal fears but I’d be okay with it winning.

Henry Sanchez

Day 1 of Recommending the most underrated movie of the 21st century. Blindspotting (2018)

jeendus

Can someone tell me, are multiple movies winning or just one winner?

Monica Alarcon

I think everybody's given up about asking for Top Secret.... Oh well

Dustin Duvall

The meg won't beat most good movies in a poll, and should really be in a "popcorn movie" poll, but it's fun. For now, voting conjuring and descent

Michael Johnson

Pleasantly surprised that The Descent is winning. One of the better horror movies in recent memory.

Dan Holmes

Can't believe the Descent is winning, one of the best films in the past 20 years

Smooticus

A lot of really good choices here. As a horror fan, it's hard to make a choice, but I had to include the Conjuring since it means we get Conjuring 2 - one of the funnest movies I saw in 2016. I was gleefully giggling throughout while my date was gripping my arm so tight i thought i was going to develop a palsy from lack of blood flow

Random Nevermind

Two Horrors I would like to recommend: - Silent Hill - The Ninth Gates But I think you should watch Eyes Wide Shut before The Ninth Gates. Cause there are some light references.

Guy-on-Couch

Cape Fear in 4th? feel like a lot of people haven't seen that....

Silje

The Descent is incredible... amazing script with insights into human trauma responses, and big props for a rare all-female cast!

Middy

I had to watch The Babadook twice to realise how great it was. The first time through I was hoping for some creepy visuals, but it's not really about that and I was left wanting more. Going back and knowing what to look for completely turned it around for me.

FischerMax98

Glad The Descent is winning, fantastic movie. Never really understood the popularity of the Conjuring movies. But I would have thought Cape Fear would do better than it is. Robert De Nero, Nick Nolte, Jessica Lange and Juliet Lewis. Great psychological thriller and one of De Nero's best roles. Just my opinion of course.

UsedFishing

Cape fear won't win the vote but you should do it anyway, George will understand so many Simpsons references

Drew Acheson

I'd like to throw Renaissance Man into the mix as something you should watch.

Chase Schleich

Descent is maybe one of the scariest movies I've ever seen. Sad to see Buried get so few votes though. Most people must not have seen it. It's maybe Ryan Reynolds best acting he's ever done. The movie is 90% him in a serious role with nothing to play off of and it was great.

Spawncalibur

New here! so Descent 100%! No spoilers. Its a great comedy.

Christian Truheoh

A couple recommendations that are not horror per se but are great nonetheless: The Grey with Liam Neeson, and Apocalypto directed by Mel Gibson. Both are great action survival-esque films that are scary in a more realistic sense.

James Smith

Cliffhanger was made by Studio Canal

Rachel W

Very suprised George hasn't seen Cape Fear since The Simpson's did a classic Cape Fear Episode.

James Falato

And Oh Yes... For a Tingling of Spines Favorite... Look to include a Halloween Flick, "The Others (2001)" with Nicole Kidman...

RLYtoxic

Nice to see everyone being respectful adults in this poll, cause last poll comments were a bit oof.

Jon Burrows

Haven’t read through all the comments but Sinister is another good one for the scares :)

Mickey6

Who comes up with these titles? You guys deserve a better class of film. Cape Fear is the only one approaching wholesale goodness. I respect that maybe you all like being frightened, but these are not the way to go. Cape Fear is disturbing though.

Kwazimoto69

My heart is broken because Arachnophobia is not included on this list.

Dirge Girl

Night of the Living Dead (1990) & The Return of the Living Dead (1985)

DevoLamar

Y’all should check out the iron claw. Very moving movie even for someone who isn’t into pro wrestling

G Lam

Oh, that's disappointing. I've only heard of 4 of these 7 I only know what 3 of those 4 are about. One of those I -think- I've seen, and the other I know I've seen at least half a dozen times... Sadly Cliffhanger isn't leading the poll

Dag Einar Bergli

The Descent is very good, The Conjuring is well done for a movie with that subject matter and Cape Fear is a classic everyone should see.

meadow anderson

cannot wait for the descent i love that movie

WastedPo

For The Descent, I recommend the European ending. (I assume most agree on this one?)

Michael Bourke

Looking forward to this one. Have to agree with others, best to watch the UK ending, not the US one.

Timo Paul

For the happier show list: Mythic Quest on AppleTV+ Comedy about an Game Development Studio.
