CHRISXGAMESALOT

We need at least one Bruce Lee movie reaction on this channel.

droodly

Ooo... Upgrade!

Big Gee

Sweet after you guys did Rush hour series I was hoping you guys would get to Shanghai Noon/Knights for Jackie’s other great buddy comedy series.

JakeyShakeyBakeyBoy

What do you do when you need a new phone or a larger meal size?… UPGRADE!… I’m going now haha. But actually awesome movie.

Erik D

I was about to say that this might be the first list on which I had absolutely no strong opinions, until I saw Warrios.

Matt

THE RAID 2

Michal Novotny

I know T3 isn’t the greatest thing in the world but I really want the guys to see it. 🙂

Ian Hunt

Just popping in for my semi regular vote for Patriot Games so we can then get Clear and Present Danger. Also, Upgrade is ace.

pinkdino99

Patriot Games leads to the far superior Clear and Present Danger sequel which has a stacked cast and rippling plot. T3 is terrible. Should be on Cinecringe.

slowprodigy

Upgrade and Shin Godzilla!

Matthew Johnson

Patriot Games has top tier Sean Bean! Also with how much you guys enjoyed Air Force One, I think you'll really enjoy the Harrison Ford Jack Ryan movies (this one and Clear and Present Danger)

j c

Shin Godzilla's more Horror than Action. It's nothing like any other Godzilla movie. And it's got my vote!

Mike FromOz

Holy shit, "The Warriors"!!!! FUCK YES!

Mike FromOz

Just think of the photoshop possibilities!!!! Go for this peeps!

Dazzler & Em

Really good list, but my first choice is clear. UPGRADE!!!!!¡

Jeff K.

Well I know what’s getting my vote. The only question I have for the rest of you is this: CAN YOU DIG IT!!!

Justtired

Second week in a row I’m abstaining. Nothing really exciting on either poll for me. But, I’ll enjoy watching it play out

cincassette

"Upgrade" and "The Warriors" stand out to me in this selection! I've never seen any Bruce Lee movies, but I'd love to finally check that out too.

BMTelle

So glad that Upgrade is at least on your radar. Truly a hidden gem that deserves more attention.

jmundt33a

Better than anything listed. Patriot Games and CPD are solid ‘90s fare.

jmundt33a

I think Air Force One started life as a Jack Ryan adaptation, but there were…disputes.

jmundt33a

🙄 Inevitable, I suppose.

jmundt33a

Well done. I DESPISE the ending, though.

Jay

Holy shit, Upgrade winning as I type this? I would not have expected that, great movie.

Amar

Upgrade lets go!!!

Smooticus

If Warriors wins, I suggest a followup movie also directed by Walter Hill; Streets of Fire. The forgotten gem of the mid 80's, and the best first 15 and final 20 minutes in movie history. Also has a super young Willam Dafoe (pre Platoon), a dazzlingly beautiful Dian Lane, totally bitchin concert scenes, and oh yeah- a sledgehammer fight. Pure dumb fun

DeAndrew Greene

I wish Bad Boys was on this poll cause it would have won, but I was just thinking bout Upgrade cause it’s such an underrated and unique film.

Tay Schumaker

Might be good timing on the Warriors since Lin Manuel Miranda is putting out that Warriors concept album soon. Which may turn into his next Broadway show

Adam Wetstein

I like when you watch older movies as it millennials watching the foundations of 90’s film 🎥 s great

3dbadboy1

Warriors... come out to playay... Warriors... come out to playay!

German Garcia

I personally voted for Upgrade but the people voting Warriors aren't wrong either. Both great movies from completely different eras.

3dbadboy1

In LA I watched the opening night and they had to shut down theaters all over for a few days while the police had to manage the out of control gangs because of it.

Ken

Upgrade needs to be reacted to for the simple fact of so many people having slept on it. Such a great premise and execution, also, I am a ninja.

Vwlss Nvwls

Upgrade is one of those gems that really needs more attention than it gets. Such a great concept and well made film.

Jeff K.

Enter the Dragon is fantastic. Highly recommend checking it out. Amazing score by Lalo Schifrin, as well.

Wrencher86

Nothing really pops out on this list for me but for the love all things holy do yourselves a favor and never watch Terminator 3. Just an absolute wet fart of a movie.

Chris

Patriot games because I only discovered you when you did Hunt For Red October

Hunterrim

Suggesting: -Royal Tennenbaums -Kingdom of the Crystal Skull -The Holdovers -Good Time -Raising Arizona (need this)

FWPJR.

Never seen any of these movies lol so I hope whatever wins everyone enjoys the reaction and all the reactions this week✌🏻

Raymond DeGraw

Nice selection on this poll... Love watching along with your reactions... I look forward to seeing these in the future... 1. Alita Battle Angel 2. The Count of Monte Cristo (2002) 3. Little Shop of Horrors (1986) 4. Falling Down 5. Secondhand Lions (I believe Simone with fall in love with this movie, great heart and wonderful story)

Vincent

The Warriors Patriot Games ... and Upgrade as a well worth watching longshot

FWPJR.

I grew up in the 90’s and I didn’t watch one of these movies growing up lol But I do love when they react to movies from the 80’s or 90’s because there’s a better chance I’ve seen those movies compared to newer movies

Keith Brown

It's fun fighting the good fight on these polls as i will try and get you guys and the voters to check out an older movie every time I can. "Twelve Angry Men, "Citizen Kane", "To Kill a Mockingbird" and "It's a Wonderful Life" it feels good when people find out movies were made before 1995.

G P

Dollars Trilogy The Menu The Royal Tenenbaums 12 Monkeys

Haye Zeus

Cinebinge! Come out and plaaaay!

Tim T—

Brazil (1985) also has some Action! scenes, including action plumbing. Just saying.

Tyler Foster

Kind of shocked that not one other commenter thus far has told you to make sure and find the original 1978 theatrical cut of The Warriors and not the terrible "Ultimate Director's Cut" of the movie. The difference looks minimal when you look at just the running times (theatrical is 92 or 93m depending some minor logo differences, director's cut is 94m or one second under), but the director's cut has really underwhelming digital illustrations throughout the film, starting with an unnecessary prologue and then continuing throughout the film during scene transitions. I get the idea, but director Walter Hill should've really hired an actual comic book artist to do nice paintings instead of the cheap-looking graphics he got. For awhile, the director's cut was the only way to see the movie on disc, but recently, after years of complaints, the theatrical cut has been made more available online and Arrow Video recently put out a nice set offering both versions.

Haye Zeus

Totes agree. Theatrical cut all the way.

Morningstar

Please watch Cloud Atlas💞

Tyler Foster

Would love to see Brazil covered on quite a few channels.

Tyler Foster

Need more Wes Anderson on all of the reaction channels, IMO. Grand Budapest is his masterpiece and many have covered it, but then they stop! I need Bottle Rock, Rushmore, Tenenbaums, Life Aquatic, and Fantastic Mr. Fox, too!

Tyler Foster

Not sure to what degree this is the consensus, but personally I would really, really, really hope that if they watch Little Shop, they either 1) watch the director's cut, or 2) watch both endings, as I believe there is a hard cut from one ending to the other, so they could simply watch both and get two watch-alongs out of it.

Kyle Peterson

You guys are gonna love upgrade if you watch it

streetduck

I completely agree that we need more Wes Anderson. Specially: Royal Tenenbaums, Rushmore and Life Aquatic

Mark Causer

Upgrade is an underrated masterpiece and simply has to be watched

John

I think the Royal Tenebaums is great and strongly recommend Rushmore

Adam Wetstein

How did they miss out on Action Jackson

Tyler Foster

They generally watch second-place winners the week after the first place winner, so my guess is that Upgrade will come through on the 26th.

DM DC

I love Little Shop oi Horrors, one of the few musicals I really love. The songs are catchy and fun and the cast! Sooooo Great!

Smooticus

They need to book end Time Bandits and the Adventures of Baron Munchausen with it

DM DC

I prefer the theactrical cut myself. The what I call the "alternate" ending is fun but something about it just doesn't sit right for me. I prefer the theactrical cut ending. But I can understand the appeal of the "alternate" ending.

DM DC

It's been stated below, and I have also said below in a reply, but you two have to check out Little Shop of Horrors (1986). Don't even look anything up for it. It's a musical, that's all you need to know. Just get it and watch and enjoy!

Anamondaris

Bottle Rocket is underrated👍

JoeE

Definitely raising as, also really like holdovers and tennenbaums

JoeE

Would also recommend to live and die in l a

Dan Holmes

amazed and elated that Upgrade is a close second

Jeff K.

Since it's looking like The Warriors is in solid position to win right now, I suggest you track down the original version instead of the director's cut. The director's cut isn't bad, but it has some... different stylistic choices that I know that I, and I've read many other people, didn't care for.

Raymond DeGraw

I agree with the Theatrical Cut, because I grew up with that one and it holds a special place in my heart.

Swede for the table

Never ever do anymore terminator movies! Theres only 1 and 2!

Jeff K.

I can't help it, I have a soft spot for Terminator 3. The ones after that... not so much.

JC

Vote like mad for The Warriors! Make sure to watch the theatrical cut

Jordy's_Here!

I’ll be elated if The Warriors wins, but don’t forget about Shin Godzilla going forward!! 😍😍

Pam Nail

That complicates things for people who want to watch the full version, though, because it's kind of hard to find the theatrical cut.

micah saldana

The Warriors is such an iconic stylish film, I really think you guys will dig it

FrancescoTakesItEasy

The differences are not that extreme, so I'm in either way. But yeah, theatrical cut is the way to go in my opinion. The comic book transitions and prologue of the DC always felt ill-fitting to me. Thankfully Arrow released both versions on 4K.

W T

Hell yeah Upgrade, surprised but delighted to see so many people voting for it too Really nice movie, Leigh Whannell has a knack for making really low-budget productions seem like millions of bucks.

W T

WIll always support some good Cloud Atlas pestering, easily among my favorite movies.

W T

The humor ended up being a nice surprise, very tastefully sprinkled but made me lose my lunchables every time

W T

I'd argue that the ending is wonderful for the movie, but I suppose that's enough talk about that

Garin

Oooh, I hope Shanghai Noon at least comes second or third!

darkmoobs

Let’s go Upgrade! Underrated movie.

mike

I can’t WAIT to watch your react to The Warriors!!!!

Jasbro

We need more Harrison Ford movies on this channel, and Patriot Games is so damn good.

Jeff K.

Yeah, it's not a huge difference. But the comic book transitions are just kinda... weird, to me. Not enough to ruin the movie by any stretch, of course. Also: early prediction if it holds on to win is that George will photoshop Simone as one of the Baseball Furies and himself as David Patrick Kelly's character (the guy with the bottles and the iconic line; can't remember his character name, just know he's the guy who runs the "cleaning service" in John Wick).

Jeff K.

I've honestly never even heard of it, so color me surprised at how well it's performing. It's enough to have me intrigued, especially seeing it stars discount Tom Hardy.

Analytical Guy

Same here. I enjoyed the concept/gimmick. And I liked the action. And, without any spoilers, I really liked the ending.

Analytical Guy

I remember the year Little Shop of Horrors came out, Siskel and Ebert were on some talk show. The host asked them each what their favorite movie was for the year. One of them answered "Little Shop of Horrors." Then it was the other guy's turn to answer and he said (paraphrasing) "Yeah, Little Shop of Horrors for me too."

droodly

He'll always be T-Bird to me. FIRE IT UP! FIRE IT UP! FIRE IT UP!

Analytical Guy

I loved The Warriors. But one challenge that some other people have mentioned is that the Director came back after the fact and released an (odd) version of it that was more true to his "original vision." Looks like the fans here agree that the original version is better, but your challenge is: Whichever version you pick, you would want it to be the same as the version the full length watchers are watching. Same challenge with Little Shop of Horrors. And Rocky Horror Picture Show. And The Abyss. And a number of others. I think you want to find the "best" version (as long as viewers have at least some chance of finding it) and then communicate really well which one you chose, with the running time and any other clues you can offer.

DM DC

Nice! I can believe it. Such a great movie.

Analytical Guy

That's a challenge because they can only watch one movie for their first time. And if they go studying the difference while trying to make their choice, they're going to get spoilers. I'll go out on a limb and say I don't recommend the Director's cut. It followed the Broadway version very closely, but for reasons I won't go into, I don't think it works as well on film. If that had been the original version I saw, I don't think I would have enjoyed the movie very much. I would say to watch the theatrical version, and then for an interesting treat, maybe check out the "director's cut." (Is it really billed as the "Director cut?" After listening to an audio commentary, I got the feeling that the director, like all the people working on the movie, thought that the change was better for the theatrical version -- not that it was forced on him against his will and now he's finally had a chance to get his ending back.)

Karen A

You should watch Enter the Dragon and Balls of Fury as a double feature. 😂

Nathan Jasper

Absolutely one of the best movies ever made despite the critics shitting on it.

Rob Church

Warriors... Come out and plaaaayyyyyyyaaaayyyy....

Morningstar

You are absolutely right good, sir💞

Darth Millennial

Had to vote for T3. People hate on but it's actually pretty good.

Darth Millennial

That's your opinion. Alot people like 3&4. But stop after that lol

Hoop

The Warriors had such cinematography (the legendary Lazlo).

nossieboy

Upgrade blew me away. Read a tv series was in the works hope it happens.

Mike FromOz

Thing is, the theatrical cut is going to be really hard for all of us to be able to watch (I have no options for it here in Australia), whereas the Directors Cut is ubiquitous and everywhere. And I don't find the additions distracting or that bad. It doesn't really detract from the entire rest of the film. I know people want the original, but its just going to be really difficult to manage to find for a lot of people.

Stephen

Upgrade is super underrated such a good movie

Analytical Guy

Now that you mention it, that kind of matches my memory as well. That I once tried to watch a full length reaction, and the version I found for myself was the director's cut. I actually don't remember which version that reactor was watching. I suppose at the time I thought that I would only want to watch the theatrical cut, so no matter which one the reactor was watching, it wasn't going to work for me because I couldn't find the theatrical cut for myself. TLDR: If the only version at least reasonably accessible is the director's cut, then we might have to think in terms of our request for "The Warriors" as being a request for Warriors Director's Cut.

Hamesque

Patriot Games is top tier "Dad Movie That's on Cable At Least Once a Week" which I believe is a category at the Oscars this year.

Rachel W

Hey, I have a new category suggestion--Documentaries! And some suggestions, "Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father (fantastic and has a Canadian angle), "Three Identical Strangers", "Miracle"(better than the bio pic). All so good.

GumpOfThunder

Please watch Narcos for the next series.

shaneth138

This is a pretty boring poll list not gonna lie.

Kevin Ehle

Yikes! Are we running out of good action film options? I suppose Warriors and Shanghai Noon are view-worthy.

Tim T—

Then I'd nominate Werner Herzog Documentaries. :)

Jeff I.

Honestly shocked that The Warriors is doing so well. I mean it's a fun cult film, but I wouldn't have expected it to be in solidly first place on a poll here. Here's to hoping that Upgrade stays in second place, because that would be a great reaction to see in a few weeks! That movie was way better than I expected.

ExtraBigAssTaco

A lot of interesting choices this time. I'll add a suggestion vote for Payback, as someone mentioned, and I also really think that you guys would enjoy Maverick, also starring Mel Gibson.

MPH

Wow. I can't believe warriors is winning. I'm pretty stoked. I wear a warriors vest to Bonnaroo most years.

Dioskur

Voting for Terminator3 just to see how you make fun of that mess of a movie :D

G B

I don’t know if the warriors was put from my Q&A submission but you guys are truly awesome for that! Truly hope it wins and you guys watch the theatrical cut!

howtocookazombie (Stan)

Oh no. I love the Terminator movies, but Terminator 3 is for me BY FAR the worst of them. "Terminator Salvation" is in my opinion one of the best movies after the first two and the only one, which actually doesn't play in the present. I hope, you'll watch it some day too! 🙏🤖

Brandon Meng

+1 for Payback, criminally underrated movie that's a ton of fun start to finish

Michael Bourke

The Warriors is absolutely one of my favourite movies, good to see it in the lead ( I prefer the Director's Cut but both versions are good ). Hope you do Upgrade too at some point though.

Farbod

Upgrade is so good. Not enough people have seen it.

Brandon Meng

I'm not really familiar with a lot of these movies but Shanghai Noon was a lot of fun and Bruce Lee films never disappoint. For future consideration, broken up by genre because I have no idea what the poll will be next week: Perks of Being a Wallflower (coming of age drama) Manchester by the Sea (drama) Walk Hard (comedy) Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (award-winning) Forgetting Sarah Marshall (romcom) About Time (sci-fi) Planet Terror (horror) Drive (action) Unforgiven (western) The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly (oldie classic) Life is Beautiful (foreign film) Up (animated) Les Miserables (musical) Nebraska (indie father/son) Cheers!

Steven Cavanagh

With Halloween only a month away could I recommend two Thriller movies. 1. Lost Boys 2. Dog Soldiers I think you would like them.

Long-time Sci-Fi Enthusiast

Please consider the 1946 Fantasy/Romance film (A Matter Of Life & Death) for a future poll. It is set during WW 2 when a pilot has a lucky escape & then falls in love. However, there are unexpected complications. if you do react to it, please do so without seeking any further information. I came across it on Tv years ago just by chance with no knowledge & believe me, you would enjoy it more that way.

Rob Bob

Upgrade is so underrated. You guys would LOVE it

Noel Valdez

Out of all of these I only seen Upgrade which is fantastic! The director is Adam from Saw!

BoredLittleLady

There’s a few series you guys started but haven’t finished that I’d like to re-recommend. The Hunger Games series. Taken trilogy. Karate Kid trilogy. They are fun action movies that I think you’ll enjoy.

Thomas Larsen

Please contact riceandginger and do a colab for animatrix together. They just released matrix 2, so I think there is still time for you to "sync" up so to speak. I am absolutely convinced you will love it! Of course you have to check out matrix 2 and 3 before that, but I think this is a really good opportunity for you since I have a (biased) feeling you two will mash well with them. (edit: lol i just realized how racist that can sound cus u are 1 white 1 asian like them)

Alex Ch

I’ll second Presumed Innocent.

Thomas Larsen

Voted for warriors because it is fucking fun! Voted for terminator 3 because lol XD

DinChild

Definitely Upgrade. Sorry, but that's just too enjoyable to watch.

wertnez

Amazing movie. Saw it in IMAX, best film I've seen all year .

Random Nevermind

Two action movies I want to recommend: Shoot em up Mr. & Mrs. Smith

Logan Nelson

Every poll is just a reminder of how out of step I am with this audience lol...

Logan Nelson

Forever Young would be a fun watch with you guys... Simone would love it...

SimianSupreme

I cannot express how excited I am that The Warriors is on this list. Even less able to express how thrilled I am that it is currently leading. :)

Rayna Storie

Terminator 3 doesn't get enough love It is not as bad as everyone says it is is as good as the first two no it had a lot to live up to But it still deserves love

Steve kephart

If you guys liked The Hunt For Red October, then you guys will love Patriot Games. Same author and just as good. It's less action and more thriller.

Steve kephart

I'll second Hunger Games. The second movie was even better than the first.

akaTheBAY -AY-Ron

It's better than James Cameron's Terminator 3 (Dark Fate) I'll say that. I really enjoyed T3 to be honest. Weakest of the original 3 (as most part 3s are) but still enjoyable. Different tone altogether but still :)

Dragonhunter

Every time I see Action poll I hope Crank made the cut. Crank 1 and 2 are just full on batshit crazy fun.

Jeff Norwood-Brown

Patriot Games is a difficult watch for me because of the theme and growing up when stuff like that was in the news and all around me. However it is very good and a chance to see Sean Bean playing a brooding, taciturn baddie.

Spacedone

Patriot Games is a very good film, well worth a watch even if it's not going to win this poll.

Spacedone

Just a few humble suggestions for future movie reaction: - Patriots Day (2016) - Get Carter (1971) - A Matter of Life and Death (1946) - The Maltese Falcon (1941) - The Host (2006) - Chinatown (1974)

Nathan Jasper

it's funny, I've never seen The Warriors either but I have a T-Shirt that's the Warriors poster design except it says "The Keanus" and features Ted, Jon Harker, Neo, Constantine, and John Wick

Ari Ramirez

Shin Godzilla is amazing, but I bet you'll enjoy it more as a Halloween watch

Tim T—

+2 for Payback and some thumbs for Smokey & The Bandit and Premium Rush.

Tim T—

Try the Sarah Connor Chronicles TV Series. It’s the spiritual successor to T2.

Rob Church

I think it gets too much love.

Rob Church

Cool? Thanks for sharing I guess.

Darin Foat

For everyone else's sake, it's good that Terminator 3 isn't winning. Because if you watched it I would be forced to post a long, pedantic comment about why it bugs me so much. And nobody needs that.

Renee MeowMeow Beans

For me it HAS to be Enter the Dragon and Shanghai Noon!!!! We haven't had martial arts films for ages (it seems to me anyway! 😆) and Shanghai Noon is so silly and fun, and Enter the Dragon is just . . . well, I just think one has to see Bruce Lee in action to believe it. 😀

Renee MeowMeow Beans

I've got my fingers crossed, too - that movie is such a delight!

Renee MeowMeow Beans

Bruce Lee's intensity is frankly terrifying - and it's awesome!

Renee MeowMeow Beans

Jackie and Owen Wilson make a surprisingly great duo - I love both those movies!

Jean-Dominic Lapointe

Not an action movie, but I’d love to see you react to Lord of War

Ashcroft Production-House

Please remember that despite all the HATE, most of the Terminator sequels have their UPS and their downs but are often still very fun. However, PLEASE WATCH TERMINATER: Dark Fate before T3 because the true-canon Terminator trilogy according to James Cameron is T1, T2, Dark Fate and none of the rest are canon. T3 and T4 exist in the Salvation Timeline [Extended lore stuff established by the comics and books and early 90s Bethesda video games]. Terminator: Genysis takes place in a separate pocket timeline disconnected from the others. I hope none of this info is considered spoilery but it really is important to know and the films do not do a good job of explaining and the toxic fanboy mentality that tends to always poison and muddy the discussions surrounding the post-T2 sequels.

sheriffjt

So happy to see The Warriors currently winning! Fun movie if you've never seen it, once you have you'll hear it quoted al the time

Lionbarber

Raising Arizona is a goddamn masterpiece

Stevtrek

I feel like "The Warriors" is one of those movies that transcends it's place as cinema and moves into that cultural event space. A movie I think everyone should see.

Garin

100% agree!!! I remember watching that with my dad, it's one of my favorite memories. My dad is such a serious guy but he cried laughing during Shanghai Noon. I'd love to see more martial arts films on Cinebinge. I especially love George's fun facts and extra context when watching wuxia and other Chinese films

Matthew Johnson

That makes so much sense since in those books I'm pretty sure Jack Ryan eventually becomes president

FischerMax98

Hell yeah Warriors. The Baseball gang.... coolest look EVER.

Aeri

Excellent choices, for your next batch of action/drama I'd recommend "3:10 to Yuma" with Christian Bale and Russel Crowe as the leads. Incredible movie, I think you'd enjoy.

Wrencher86

Eh, they're way too polite to really dig into the bad movies, though.

Zombie Feet

I saw "The Warriors" at the drive in as a kid. It was a fantasy story, but not far from reality. The 70's and 80's were something else.

Galactic Cannibl

I'd like to see some cult classics, like Attack of the Killer Tomatoes or Killer Klowns from Outer Space

Twisty Twitties

I havent seen many people do a reaction to "Law Abiding Citizen" one of Gerrard Butlers better movies.....Also would love to see a reaction to "Dog Soldiers" one of the better Werewolf movies out there

Cartoons ReAct

almost everyone hate the ending as it destroys the entire movie, I'm assuming that's why is not recommended enough...if it had a different ending it might even be considered a classic

Twisty Twitties

do agree the ending is a little disspointing but its still a good movie and its nice seeing him not play a "hero" character although his motives are torally fair

Tales From The Underside .com

They Live! They Live! They Live! Why haven’t you done They Live!? Did I miss something did you already do They Live? What’s going on, have you seen They Live? Why haven’t you seen They Live yet?

Dirge Girl

Enthusiastically, emphatically, seconded.
