Off topic, but this is the latest post; Anyone else having weird issues with Patreon no longer sending push notifications for new posts, no longer seeing them in the Notifications on the website either? I have to manually go to the creator pages to see if they have new posts. For creators where I paid annually I fully lost access for a couple of days, and then magically got it back. Seems Patreon is having major backend tech issues. Anyone else having this as well?

Cinebinge

classic Patreon as always. best to email their support and let them know. hopefully they will get it fixed asap.

Yes! Such a strong first act. I wish I could watch this at work 😂

BubblyRainbows

Looking so forward to your reactions to this! Season One remains one of my favorite single seasons of TV period (Along with "The Haunting of Hill House... isn't this month a treat for me! ✌️🤓). Season Two is off to a really good start. I hope they can carry that momentum throughout. I will definitely be watching this as soon as I'm able! Stupid responsibilities, delaying my fun...

Da Big Appa

I think I rewatched season 1 at least 5 times, more if you count reactions. I also tried to get everyone I know to watch Arcane lol

Horadriel

I am so pumped! We have waited so long for season 2 <3

It's still an extremely stylish show, and I love how they do these mixed media sequences, even though the base aesthetic of the show is already so good they really didn't have to, but I feel like a lot less happened in these episodes than in the previous three-episode arcs.

Sam

Yes, lets go, Arcane S2, as someone who knows a lot of the lore, S1 was really, people get ready and now in season 2 they just go wild with the lore and the story. Cant wait for Act 2 it gonna go crazy, with this one they really went to Fortiche(the animation studio) and said, yes all the gloves are off go crazy with it, and they did and I love it.

J van oosten

i thought the guy we sa in the hextec core was Ryze (from season 1 who teleported jace and his mom)

Mastervodo

Simone making intensely excited Arcane noises.....

I've never heard of this cartoon, is it based on a video game? I love sci-fi but am not much of a gamer so would be watching blind, would I enjoy this? thanx!

its based on League of legends, but you dont need to know anything about the game. And yes you will love it. the show has a unique art style, a great story and very strong characters. If you can stand fantasy and animation there is no way you would not like it.

I find it fascinating that both the magic of the Arcane and the city of Piltover have mirrored problems. In both scenarios, those that command the power on top, do not realize how devastating their actions are to those below.

I didn't know the first thing about League of Legends going into Arcane, and it remains one of the best things I've watched since its release in 2021. It's not an understatement to say I've obsessed about it since then, watching many dozens of reactions over the years. Season 2 is leaning more heavily on League lore and I have to admit if the freneticism of act 1 keeps up they risk losing me. It's a visual spectacle to be sure, but I'm not as sure about the character developments so far, as to me a couple of them feel rushed and unearned, probably owing to the pace and sheer amount of plot they seem to be cramming into season 2. There was quite a lot to like about season 2 act 1 though, so I look forward to watching George and Simone's reaction.

gfixler

Sheesh! I'm exhausted.

Very hyped, very pleased and very much moved by how well this second season keeps the quality up. A great joy to watch with you as well!

Having now seen all three episodes of this act, a few more thoughts: 1 - I'm sorry if it is too much of a political reading of the text, but that is how some real wars have escalated, a very interesting picture of terrorist attacks vs highly militarized reactions, an arms race in magic if you will. 2 - "You can make a religion out of that", came to mind when seeing Victor's ascension^^. 3 - The new team ups and intrigue weaving going on is a lot and very cool. I think we already lost Caitlin to the dark side with that weaponized gas attack, but hey give her an army as well, this will be good.

I am SO glad that I don't have to decide between watching this whole season tonight and then waiting to rewatch with you guys. Looking forward to my next few Hill House Tuesdays and Acane Wednesdays.

Singed is the one in the tags at the end of each episode. - He was Viktor's mentor down in the fissures who had the big purple Toothless looking creature named Rio who I believe is the origin of the Shimmer. "The specimen must survive." - Then in ssn1 Silco was funding his research into refinement of Shimmer, like Singe is Walter White to Silco's Gus Fring to be a biut reductive. - Singed was caught in the blast that killed Vander, Milo, and Clagger, took Sevika's arm, and I assume burned Singed face, hence the name. We don't have a name for who he was before but he mentions at some point he worked with or for Heimerdinger at the Academy and they "Parted ways" probably because Singed's research was getting unethical. In game there is a reason for his research but it has not been revealed in the show really so no spoils as I assume it will be revealed before the end of the show. Sevika is awesome and hot, I love her. I like her whole vibe. I like that she was originally a gang leader in her own right and followed Vander's lead until it got out that he had that deal with topside. Then she threw in with Silco and is still loyal because for all his faults Silco wasn't wrong, he was just a dick> The dude that Viktor healed of his shimmer addiction in S2E2 was the same guy Vander stands up foe in S1E1 that was getting screwed over in a deal he was doing at the Last Drop. Then he show sup in S2E4 or 5 and help Cait get that shimmer-potion to help Vi but he betrays them to Silco because his shimmer addiction is so strong. There are so many secondary and background characters with strong throughlines that aren't even champions and I love it. I want to list all the characters who have champions in the game but in a way that is a spoiler because that is kind of plot armor. They may surprise us and kill a main character in the show but since the show is now considered canon alongside their other game, Legends of Runeterra, I don't know that they would kill a beloved character. I hope they do though because for me it would be meaningful, I have grown to to love these characters and this world very much because of this show and I don't want to see them cop out on a justified or earned death for a character just because their fanbase might get upset.

James W.

I went from not caring about LoL lore to watching lore videos and even trying to see if I could get into the game. Necrit is the homie for putting together digestible lore videos that don't spoil the show. The playlist he has for the Runeterra MMO that may come out one day has a really good breakdown of the world without any spoilers for the show.

Jason

"Shield Daddy" is the best thing to have come out of those two hours and fourteen minutes.

I'm hoping you guys will continue on to the fantastic art styling in Blue Eye Samurai as well. I think both of these shows plus the Spiderverse movies have done so much with expanding animation art styles.

windyWin

I miss the Star Trek episodes but instead of complaining I binge watched Season 1 of Arcane for the first time just to catch up. I like that theme song even though I can't stand a lot of Imagine Dragons music, "new age Nickelback" to quote a reactor from the Normies. I tried to watch it a while ago but fell off the bandwagon as I wasn't in the mood but now im back on it. Edit: oh I realized star trek is still a thing on the schedule. Coolpants.

Inkpendude

Blue eye samurai was so damn good

Mastervodo

I love how Jinx's theme song is now in Sevika's arm!

Grimbane42

I can't believe this never occurred to me before but I feel like Arcane is Netflix's Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, things like that. It works in 3s, every 3 episodes is totally a movie in a trilogy of the season. Its sad they are done after this season. 3 seasons would have been perfect symmetry.

Randell Paszt

If you want a game more like in the show try out ruined king. It's not 100% the same though

Redrum Sacrament

So is Viktor the Arcane Messiah 😂. I just finished episode 3. I'm lovin that black rose witchy people. Caitlin isn't in the right state of mine to be leading anything. That big courger queen Medarda setting up the attack at the memorial to put in motion to the attack the Undercity. Sounds a lot like the conspiracy theory of 9/11 being an inside job. Set up the attack to happen so they have a reason to invade. Why are these two putting three episodes in one instead of just two? Make it last longer. On to episode 5
