Happy New Years and thanks as always for the great content. As you make your way through a new franchise. I recommend returning to the Rocky Balboa Universe, Rocky 5 is a slog, but Rocky Balboa and the Creed movies are well worth it.

The bit at the beginning where they burn the bodies makes me laugh, you can't just burn bodies that easily by touching them with a flame. We are made of 70% water, we don't burn that easily. And all their clothes looked wet as well.

I think the difference between a necklace and an amulet, an amulet usually a round/disk-like shape and holds significance in religion or magical properties. I could be wrong though.

What a damn good movie, again they had such cool practical costumes, big miniature for the finale - just amazing stuff. And you are right, a lot of hot stuff as well^^. The soundtrack is also full of bangers, only played short in the film, but good metal and EDM classics in there. I also love trinkets things Simon, the lock to the iron maiden did not had to be so complicated, but it is cool. Kinda the same feeling about what the story tells, complicated just create these superlatives meeting in close combat, weird but love to see it. The pacing is impressively quick, and they even get tons of slow-mo and recaps in. If I recall correctly, the third movie was already in pre-production, so the flashback could use costumes from that one.

Better than the first film, but that's a low bar. Skip the prequel Rise of the Lycans; Kate isn't even in it!

Have you guys seen Van Helsing (2004)? Hugh Jackman, Kate Beckinsale (no latex but still amazing, George), Faramir (David Wenham) and plenty of vampire and werewolf schenanigans. It's lots of fun.

Speaking of latex: Do you two didn't liked The Matrix movie for some reason? You never watched the second and the third movie. 🙁 The movies are really good and complete the story (not the recent, fourth one though... it's not really worth watching it in my opinion).

I'm not going to ruin anything about the third movie and Selene's presence, I'm just going to remind you that in the first movie it was stated that Victor took in Selene because she reminded him of his daughter, whom he sentenced to death for being with a Lycan.

Markus pulling on the rope to pull down the helicopter would not work no matter how strong he is as in reality he would just pull himself up. Its no different then standing in a bucket and trying to pull yourself up, the physics makes no sense. He would either have to anchor himself to the ground securely, or generate thrust in the opposite direction of the helicopter, which he could do with his wings but we did not see that. The only way this could work is if Markus was heavier then the helicopter, which typically weigh several tones, which does not seem to be the case based on how we see him interact with the word. Also the rope, or the rope's binding to the helicopter, would probably just snap as its not designed for those kind of forces, its only designed for the weight of a human with some safety margin.

Correction: Looking online, a normal abseiling rope and carabiner is designed to withstand between 1.5 and 2.5 tones of force, lot more then I thought, but this looks like a medium lift helicopter to me, which are typically around 5 tones in weight, so Markus would have to generate a opposite force of greater then 5 tones to pull the helicopter down, so the the abseiling rope or carabiner is still the most likely to break.

An amulet is an object made to protect from evil or from sickness and a chain can be added if that person wishes it, a talisman & a necklace are about the same, they are just jewelry. Also Simone being so concerned about Michael’s life expectancy tells you she’s so focused on dark creatures even Angels. And I hope she knows what I mean.

Well that was not half bad! More fun than I expected. Kate Beckinsale needs to be in more things, especially action movies. Speaking of the use of contact lenses in this movie, it’s too bad Alexandra Daddario didn’t have a role in this movie as her eyes are naturally amazing-looking and unusually striking.

Huh, when the guard told her to get out of the car, he said to do it slowly, and he said the same word I always remember Harry said in True Lies, when his wife was dancing for him. I always thought he said "Do it slow. Do it too slow," but in a weird way ("do it... doosa low"). So I looked it up. I think they were both saying the French word "doucement", which means slowly. I guess we all learned something today. Well, except French speakers.
