Matthew Brown

Wait....resident evil the movie???!!....oh wow #diehardfan

Mike FromOz

Michael Clayton!!! Yes, this is going to be great!

Jackson

Please watch any Tarkovsky movie

Jay Davis

Michael Clayton?? LFG! Thought sure one or both of you had seen it already. Love that film.

JakeyShakeyBakeyBoy

Michael Clayton and its creator Tony Gilroy are among my faves, period. Really cool to see it upcoming, considering it’s been mentioned for quite some time. Stoked for more Shogun too☺️

The boy who cried WTF

I know I've seen Michael Clayton, but other than that, I have no recollection of it.

Maiki

"I am Shiva, the god of death!" Excellent week ahead.

Kyle Baker

Now this is a heck of a week for a fella like me.

myinniemademedoit

Michael Clayton, good choice. And Resident Evil is OK. I was so excited when RE came out as it’s my favorite game series but the movie was just OK

Amar

I watched one of my favourite reactors watch "The Intouchables" yesterday and her reaction was to say "i will never forget this movie" A feel good film is amazing especially when it's done well and i promise you The Intouchables will make you so happy. Everyone needs to watch it, the French Good will hunting!!

Stephanie Bedworth

I'll definitely be lurking around for Resident Evil.

Jay

Yeah, right 😂😂

Jay

Intouchables, it's a French movie not starring Kevin Costner:)

Alexrandom

I think you're mistaking the French film (with Omar Sy) and the American film (with Costner) They're not the same story at all though 😂 Being near France culturally I can say most people enjoy it. It's very bland to me and pretty inoffensive. I really don't get the praises it receives worldwide.

Nabikon

Oh hell yeah! ResiEvil!

Bookwormy

Nice, a good selection!

DonkyDave

Great to see Resident Evil, more like CineCringe but should be fun

Scott CineRam

Just a reminder that "Lord of War" director Andrew Niccol also made a film called "S1m0ne"

Happy Hanukkah

Bah! Mainstream pablum! I demand Jodorowsky! :-)

FWPJR.

Please react to the Wedding Singer, I just watched the reaction to 50 First Dates a couple nights ago and Simone said she wanted to see it. So just do it, I’ve suggested it so many times lol

FWPJR.

I love the Resident Evil games ( I’m actually playing the 2nd one right now ) but never seen the movies. So I might have to watch along with you two.

PureGonzo

It’s still the least cringiest of the entire franchise by a mile though, which is saying something lol.

Rob Church

Nothing super interesting this week. The Resident Evil movies are absolute garbage so I'm excited to watch some bad movies.

Jeff I.

I won't spoil anything, but there's a reason all the movies in the RE series have a pretty low Metacritic score. Haha

Itbewhatitbe

metacritic is hardly a good metric to go by. people review bomb things for the stupidest reasons, and while its not some great intelligent masterpiece, and not everything needs to be, its fun. and thats something i feel like a lot of movies these days forget to do, they forget that first and foremost they are entertainment. i think it says more about the franchise that there are so many RE movies, and theyre still making them. so it clearly has a fandom and people who enjoys it.

Amar

Offensive? How is it possibly offensive at all?! Don't answer that there is no offense to that movie at all!!

Amar

I did write Intouchables i had to double check lol

Jay

Someone replied "they've watched The Untouchables", then deleted it.

Rob Church

@overcapacity No one is saying they have to be masterpieces, but they should at least be competent at what they set out to do, and the RE series fails spectacularly. The action is bad, the zombies are bad, the characters and writing are lazy and dead... Don't get me wrong, I'm excited to watch them react to some absolutely trash tier films. There are 7 Police Academy films and 3 Jaws sequels. Making money does not mean it's a good or worthy franchise.

Twisty Twitties

The first one was actually okay, but the sequels just got worse and worse...

Philipp Roensch

Ohh, after Underworld you are starting Resident Evil, my other guilty pleasure^^, always welcome. I would say enjoyable up to and including film 4, though again, the cheese is tasty later as well. The other movies are also really great picks, thx fellow patrons!

PG Modehouse

I just like looking at Clooney's face. 🤷🏾 I guess I'm not as straight as I thought I was.

Rob Church

@overcapacity True. Even videos of someone taking a dump on burnt toast and eating it have value to someone. Great point.

myinniemademedoit

The Gene Wilder Willy Wonka is the best Willy Wonka

Ginger

Such is the power of the Clooney! <3

Itbewhatitbe

Rob why are you always so hostile? even when you are sharing your own opinion about something you personally dont like, you seem to just always have a dagger at hand ready to fight. its almost like someone else enjoying something you dont will hurt you some how. every time i see any posts from you, its always just so... angry.

Tsuyama

dude what is your problem Rob Church.

TomServo

First two RE movies are worth a watch, after that quality dips considerably IMO.

Tom Hess

I don't know if this is going to be a popular opinion, but IMO you guys need to watch ALL the Resident Evil films. Each film is worse than the previous one, but in a "so bad it's good" kind of way. The final one is abysmal. I love it.

Jeff K.

But then, it's right up your alley, as one of our foremost lovers of watching cheesy movies, the worst we can find.

Rob Church

Eh, that was my only outright snarky comment. Otherwise I was literally saying I'm excited for the RE reactions because they suck so much. Cinecringe is fun. I only disagreed that they are "worthy movies" (whatever that means.). I honestly think you might be reading that anger into my comments on your own. Being sardonic is my baseline.

Rob Church

@adna97 You aren't kidding...

Jay

I know you don't really do 'Director Polls' but with the death of the great man during the week, please consider a David Lynch poll. Or just add him to the watchlist. Mulholland Drive, Lost Highway, Blue Velvet, Elephant Man........ pretty please 🙏

FranciscoGios

I must of miss watching Micheal Clayton, after watching all his Ocean Eleven stuff I took a break from George Clooney 😅

Maiki

You're up for a great movie, mate!

nossieboy

The Resident Evil films are wild. The first is fun. The second is awful. The third is awesome!!!

Jesse Coombs

Michael Clayton! I'm excited. Tony Gilroy (the writer and director) also made the best Star Wars thing since Empire Strikes Back, an amazing show called "Andor". I hope you guys watch it one of these days.

Jesse Coombs

Now would be a great time. Blue Velvet would be a good place to start.

Brandon Meng

Was planning on watching eventually, but going to start watching Shogun specifically now because you guys are watching.

Brandon

Michael Clayton and Lord of War in one week is an embarrassment of riches. 😆 It's been over a decade since I've watched either one so I'm really looking forward to it.

Jay Davis

Followed by Brazil? ...I think we're on to something...

Wrencher86

MICHAEL CLAYTON FUCK YEAAAHHHHH!!

Wrencher86

If we're recommending Clooney movies, I have to again bring up "Three Kings".

Orphan Crippler

I always found that if you don't base the movies off the games they are fun zombie movies, but only the first 3 movies.. the rest are trashy money grabs

Orphan Crippler

Id love to see there reaction to "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" with it's six hundred and fifty million jump-cuts

Brandon

I forgot to mention in an earlier comment that I hope you guys add some David Lynch to your movie schedule in the near future in honour of his passing. Mulholland Drive and Lost Highway are great places to start for his more modern work. Eraserhead, Elephant Man and Blue Velvet are both great choices for his earlier stuff. Please don't listen to anyone that recommends "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me" because you really need to see the original Twin Peaks series first. 😉 I know you guys reacted to his version of 'Dune' but seeing one of the movies where he was happy with the finished product will give a better idea of his work.

Hyperdryve

I will once again suggest Homeward Bound because I really think you will both like it 🐕

Logan Kerlee

xD That movie's terrible. I mean - it's a fantastic family movie but it's totally predictable and just.. come on! xD Animals crossing some crazy distance to reunite with family? lmao - I loved it when I was 5 but as a grown adult, I don't find it entertaining. If Cinebinge happens to take a new audience of children, I'd be more for it. Until then though - nah. xD

Logan Kerlee

Accurate observation. @Adna97

Logan Kerlee

RE2 has always been my favorite of them all! lmao, I've got a horror story with that game - too! xD This happened when I was a youngster. I was only 11 or 12 at the time. anyway - I was busy playing the game in my bedroom one day (room was well lit and everything was happy/good) when during a particular cinematic moment in the game I had a grand maul seizure out of nowhere! xD I have no other history of it ever happening. Anyway, it all happened in the Police Department when a zombie RANDOMLY burst through a door to grab my character! lmao, I don't know what caused it - I'm guessing the sudden shift in lighting plus the high fear factor of it all. I'm not certain - but yeah, when they burst out I fell prone and seized like a maniac. Lost complete control over my entire body and everything just seized. It was intense! xD Whatever though - after that happened I just kept on playing. I was a stupid kid that wanted to have fun. hahahaha, wow, I look back at that behavior and I'm ashamed of myself!

FWPJR.

Wow, that’s actually terrifying. And tbh I probably would’ve also continued playing, when we are kids we just want to have fun and you didn’t realize how serious what just happened to you was. So there’s nothing to be ashamed of, I hope you are doing better now and got the help you needed. And same about Resident Evil 2, it’s been my favorite since I first played it when I was 14, it’s definitely the best one out of the many that have been made. I’d say Biohazard is my second favorite Resident Evil game.

Happy Hanukkah

I see many comments referencing "RE". I highly urge you to go one step further and watch RED (2010).

Jeff K.

Let me take this moment to chime in and also suggest [REC]

maikeru

banger week

lisa

god i hate nick cage.

Sheens

They seriously need to go back to their Cinecringe channel for movies like these. I don't mind some campy-bad movies, but the RE series is just objectively awful

Happy Hanukkah

And even further from her usual haunts is Dummy (2002), alongside Adrien Brody (back in the spotlight for The Brutalist). ADDED: I hadn't realized until now that Jared Harris also appears in it. Anyhow, Milla's very next movie was Resident Evil, and Adrien's next role was his Oscar-winning turn in The Pianist.

Stugotz

He's definitely an acquired taste. I personally think he's great

Sheens

I didn't mind the first one so much, but yeah the rest could definitely be skipped

sheriffjt

Thanks for doing these! I just realized I could search for "next week on Patreon" and get a visual list of everything you've done to see if I missed anything, rather than scrolling back infinitely. Much easier!
