This is my favourite Pixar film. Wonderful message about creativity/dreams, beautifully animated and great score.

Mastervodo

Missed opportunity for a thumbnail with George as Skinner.

TomGas2025

We just saw this movie 2 times within a week.

Itbewhatitbe

i mean it would just be George in a chef uniform, is it really THAT much more interesting? lol

Mastervodo

And short! Like the comic-accurate Wolverine short-king in Deadpool!

Itbewhatitbe

shorter than he is NOW in the thumbnail?? XD

Spence Lee

This movie gets less charming once you have actually seen a rat.

Jay Willis

lol, i've never seen a comment so true. my wife and I had photos for our anniversary taken in Paris, and I literally pushed a dead rat into the Seine in Paris because it was in the background (had to grab a stick and kind of nudge it to the side where it then slid down into the water...and then proceeded to float in the background, haha).

Jay Willis

I think we may have even joked if it was Remy.

Jay Willis

how dare you guys not remember Racacoonie from Everything Everywhere All At Once.

Lukas

I can totally understand not wanting rats (or mice etc) in your house. But if you build your opinion of a species only on those individuals you find dead in the streets, what would you think of humans? Or Cats? Or any other living being? That's just plain bias. There are many people who like rats and keep them as pets, claiming them to be very cleanly, intelligent and well behaved animals.

MPH

Rats make fine pets, but I keep reptiles, so...

Happy Hanukkah

My pet is no rat! Is filigree Siberian hamster!

Happy Hanukkah

Don't you know? Frank (and Brian) Herbert wrote the Dune series as a warning that bestselling books may be dangerous to your health!!1! :-P

Mycenaeus

Colette Tatou is based on real life chef Hélène Darroze. Skinner's temperament is arguably modelled after French comedian and actor Louis de Funès; one of his most successful movies was "The Wing or the Thigh" (1976), where he plays a food critic.

Stugotz

How many rat hairs are in all those meals they prepared? 🤮

Helly R

Fancy rats are cute and fantastic pets so I disagree. Unexpected rats/mice within your home is another story.

Spence Lee

The size of the pro-rat community has surprised me.

Happy Hanukkah

I guess that the next movie must be 1984 (1984). (Did I stutter?! :-) )

YYZHawk

Yes, it was Peter O’Toole! And Ian Holm as skinner!!

Chris

These are great. Always fantastic when legends live up to their status.

Jeff K.

I totally forgot that Thomas Keller was the technical advisor for this film. No wonder so many chefs point to it as one of their favorites and rave about how amazing the kitchen and food all actually looks and how, outside of the whole rat thing, it's incredibly accurate to how a high end kitchen operates.

Rob Church

All that copper cookware reminds me of culinary school. I love this movie for it's kitchen accuracy.

Mr TV Eye

I would SO MUCH love to see Stephen Chows "God of Cookery" - one of my favourite movies of him - as a follow-up. George giving some insides of all the little "cultural jokes" and word-plays that the English subtitles probably miss would be gold.

Andi Herr

What are you talking about? Rats are adorable. And actually no worse at cleaning themselves than cats or dogs.

Tom Hess

+1. God of Cookery is raw insanity.

Polecat21

Off topic but sending condolences on Michelle Trachtenberg’s passing to fellow Buffy fan Simone…..

Dan Holmes

simone you do not want to go to paris lol you want to go to paris 100 years ago

Simon Pegged Me

I love movies about food, cooking, dining, and the industry, and I hope you'll react to more of them. A few of my favorites are Tampopo (1985), Babette's Feast (1987), and Big Night (1996). (Big Night is one of my all-time favorite movies in general.)

Rachel W

Please consider "Unforgiven", in honor of Gene Hackman's passing.

Mike FromOz

All three are fantastic, and I love the slow burn of "Babette's Feast". The General's line, "All is vanity", still sticks with me to this day.

Mike FromOz

"Walk without rhythm, and you won't attract Simone"

Hey, can you please React to MOUSE HUNT featuring Nathan Lane And the hilarious The BIRDCAGE... also with Nathan lane Thanks

Maniacalmouse

First off, great reaction! I am going to make book recommendations because I both watch Ratatouille and read Fantasy/Sci-Fi lol. If you haven’t read The Kingkiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss, I highly recommend that series. He also did a couple of beautifully illustrated books that are in the style of a kids book, but specifically say they are not for kids lol. They are about a girl and her teddy bear. They are “The Adventures of Princess and Mr. Whiffle”. Give them a look if you have a chance!
