TheLeftPecOfTheLord

Not to be that person but Jeepers Creepers was written and directed by a convicted and imprisoned pedophile and I don’t believe it should be promoted by a reaction to it

JH138138

Eight legged freaks should have been on this list….

Jakob

Have you guys seen Van Helsing? It’s definitely fits the theme of this list.

SANAMDEEP

hellraiser is a fucking banger

Jean-Dominic Lapointe

Have you guys seen “Love and Monsters” that’s a fun creature movie. A bit gross for those who dislike mutated insects.

Rokkor X

Come on let’s get some Dragons!!!!

JakeyShakeyBakeyBoy

Hellraiser’s a hoot and a classic for sure! Definitely a fun movie to check out. Reign of Fire is also a treat!

Mike FromOz

Gotta go for Pinhead, because Hellraiser 1 brings us closer to Hellraiser 2.

Luca Kelly

Separating art from the artist is unfortunately very necessary with any Hollywood film but others worked on the movie too who’s hard work should be seen and not tarnished by a shit person directing. My opinion at least

Maiki

IIRC you mentioned an upcoming sequels poll a couple of weeks ago. Would be much appreciated :)

Random Nevermind

Jeepers Creepers is just a terrible movie at the first place. Do not understand why people like it

Andy

Shin Godzilla cause of the re-release in mid August

FranciscoGios

Hellraiser!! What's your wish Cinebinge? I would like to recommend The 13th Warrior!!

Chris Graham

The Hellraiser movies are great (and extremely gory) and my 2nd choice in this poll but Jeepers Creepers is a super fun movie and worth the watch

Josh Cutmore

Hellraiser for the win!!!! We have such sights to show you!

Stephanie Bedworth

Feast (2005) is definitely a monster/creature feature that you two should watch. It’s a lot of fun. Splinter from 2008 is also a really good one.

Allan

We have such sights to show you.

John_rd

Kong movies and Jurassic park movies keep getting worse I think. Jeepers creepers was surprisingly good for a relatively low budget movie.

Random Nevermind

I am not a big fun of monsters and creatures. So movies I suggest here for reaction are not exactly of that kind. But really close. Sleepy Hollow (1999) Silent Hill (2006)

Balmung

Have they done Godzilla? Going directly to Kong: Skull Island seems weird

Jakob

Definitely. What’s even worse is that the more you look into the themes and writing decisions of the movie, the grosser it gets. Should definitely be taken off the list.

Mike W

Glad you can vote for more than one as I love both Reign of fire & Hellraiser

Haye Zeus

The monster in Jeepers Creepers unfortunately wasn’t the one in front of the camera.

TheLeftPecOfTheLord

In most cases I’d be inclined to agree with you, some examples like Kevin Spacy with American Beauty and Baby Driver or something Weinstein produced like Lord of the Rings, but with Creepers it’s a bit more icky with me because he was properly convicted and the story behind the production is very concerning so I exclude it. I can respect anyone who feels differently though

Hans Olav Sletnes

Your recent reaction to The Lost Boys made me think of Kathryn Bigalow's Near Dark from the same year. Fairly similar story premise, but very different execution. More gritty vampire noir than popcorn vampire fun. Also, you need to react to The Wrestler at some point.

Michal Novotny

Please watch The Dark Crystal sometimes, it would go nicely with this week’s creature theme. Other random recommendations: Eurovision: The Story of Fire Saga - Will Ferrell/Rachel McAdams combo Gremlins 2 Johnny English Thanks for all the hard work you put into your content!

Mike W

Must be time for another Ryan Reynolds movie, The Adam Project is a good one 😃

Joseph M Sica

Guys, George, Simone, I don't know to say this, but if your gonna do a Monstah pole and not include Godzilla (Any movie), Monstah Huntah, or Monstah Squad, I just can't get on board! Kekek.... Monstah Squad was more of a kids movie.... So That's understandable, but Monstah Huntah and Godzilla should be on there! Don't mind the Bahston accent! Kekek I did vote for Hellraiser though! I like / voted 4 Kong: Skull Island though just b/c I know Hellraiser isn't going 2 win. Woah! I just voted and OMFG yes ppl aren't that young! Thank u for my youth 4 voting for Pinhead! Anyways, wanted 2 throw my 50 cents in! I know it's 2 cents, but I have more sense then that! Kekek <3 God I hope Hellraiser wins. The Sequels aren't that bad though! Way better then JAWS sequels! Actually I think any movie is bettah then JAWS sequels! Cassie just did JAWS II.... That poor girl! Kekek <3

Amelie W

I see we're going right for one of the Movie Monsters Hall of Fame's greatest hits. Ah, he does have such sights to show you.

Joseph M Sica

Sleep Hollow was so crap, no offense, but Silent Hill was a good interesting watch w/ a nice twist at the end! <3

Hans Olav Sletnes

Also, if you ever decide to to another Cinecringe, I nominate Cats (2019). I haven't seen it, but it seems like an entertaininng trainwreck of a movie ;)

Mike FromOz

Was just thinking about this movie the other day. A solid recommendation.

Joseph M Sica

Yes my second would have been Jeepers Creepers too! Love Justin Long! I know they did Die Hard so they know who he is! Hey Chris, how about Drag Me From Hell?! I liked that movie too!

Korpse

Just watch them all, that's a banger of a list 😂🙌

GoodManTheDan

That song from Eurovision still makes me laugh when I think about it.

Mike FromOz

It's a guilty pleasure. But it does have my favourite depiction of werewolves on screen.

Joseph M Sica

But more of a insect, not monstah movie. But I feel ya!

Joe Baldwin

goddamn! Finally! I've been bugging you guys (in the YT comments) to watch Hellraiser for 2 years at least lol

Mike FromOz

For a monster movie that definitely has the ick, check out "Slither" (2006) sometime 😁 Stars Nathan Fillion, Michael Rooker (Yondu from 'Guardians of the Galaxy'), Elizabeth Banks and Gregg Henry.

darkmoobs

Really can’t get behind Jeepers Creepers. Director is a terrible person.

The Dark Unknown

but you still havnt seen the peter jackson king kong it should be on the list?!?!

Joe Baldwin

it's such a fucking banger. Had it on VHS in the 90s, seen it countless times. Still holds up, recently had a new girlfriend of mine watch it with me lol

Mike FromOz

Have to agreed. Also the movie always felt so damn contrived to me. I mean, a lot of horror movies are, but this one just doesn't have the right feel.

jmundt33a

This is just not the poll for me. I’m much more Pete’s Dragon live action than any of this. J World felt like a reboot with less wonder and no soul. Have they done Warm Bodies yet?

paul rai

If you guys haven’t, definitely consider putting Peter Jackson’s King Kong (2005) remake on a future poll. I think it’s phenomenal and we’re coming up on its 20th anniversary in December! If it wasn’t for the original film, Jackson would never have found his love for movie making and make the LOTR trilogy. It is long, but such an adventurous, amazingly crafted epic that is astounding to watch. And if you can, definitely recommend the extended cut that features more monster action (the lake fish monster sequence is included in this).

Xavier Casanova

Why would members hate George so much as to have to edit a Jurassic World movie. Y'all realize he would have to watch this movie TWICE. Be kind to the lad.

Marko T.

Wrong Kong movie. King Kong (2005) is so much better and directed by Peter Jackson.

Random Nevermind

All is okay. Tastes differ. I like both movies mostly because of the concept: main evil has a plain target and in fact does not give a f**k about main characters.

Shibby

Whatever the result please watch Reign of Fire sometime I think you'll enjoy it a lot

Stu84

Got to finally be Hellraiser time. Sorry Simone.

ScottishSammo

I think you guys will enjoy most of these movies but it's Hellraiser for me! And then onto the second one when you get a chance 😁 especially with the new game just being announced 😍

Michael Johnson

Reign of Fire is an underappreciated movie. Just a good entertaining dragon apocalypse flick 😁

Patrick

Reign of Fire is my top pick. It's great schlock.

Zero Cochrane

Yes!!! Hellraiser!! “ We have such sights to show you “

ShōNuff3K

I enjoyed Hellraiser & Reign of Fire very much.

Jeromy M

Loved this movie as a teen

Daniel Smith

Was expecting to see The shape of water on this list. Such a great film.

Daniel Smith

“Jesus!” “Oh my gawd!!!!!” Just getting my Simone bingo card ready

Tyra M.

If you want to add to this category for a TV show. Monarch on Apple TV is fantastic!

Tom Hess

If you're going to watch Jurassic World (why God why...), maybe you should watch Jurassic Park 3 first. I wish I could erase it from my memory but it's part of the saga :-D

Maeve1667

Since you watched Hellboy and Pan's Labyrinth you should check out The Shape of Water. Guillermo del Toro wrote and directed that movie as well... would be considered a monster movie since it basically has the creature from the Black Lagoon.

Daniel Smith

Big Kevin Smith fan, bought it a few years ago and still can’t quite find the time to watch it knowing what it is about.

Andras Beck

Didn't know what to expect from Love & Monsters, but turned out to be a nice entertainment. A lighthearted take on apocalypse.

Zachary Plouffe

Honestly I was fortunate enough to go into it blind when it was still relatively new. There are only two movies that I've seen that I think are great but struggle with the idea of watching them again, Tusk and Lobster

Tucci

You guys would love Jeepers Creepers and Simone might actually stop saying Jeepers if it starts reminding her of that movie. XD

JoeE

Would also recommend heavenly creatures

Daniel Smith

Kill list or Eden Lake is that film for me. Both great films but can’t watch again knowing where the film is headed. But I don’t mind the prospect of The Mist rewatch.

Aaron Stinson

Jurassic Park 3 and Peter Jackson’s King Kong should take precedence over Jurassic World and Kong Skull Island. Just sayin’.

cincassette

Not really my usual kind of thing, but I’m curious to check out Hellraiser… I haven’t seen it yet, but it seems to have a big reputation. Some more unconventional picks (not really traditional monster/creature films, but still in the realm): - “The Elephant Man” (1980, Lynch) - “Eraserhead” (1977, Lynch) - I’d also suggest “Possession” (1981, Zulawski), but that is a very difficult and challenging film.

ComradQuestion

Shin Godzilla is really unique! I loved it.

Mikebdrx

oh man Hell Raiser and Jeepers Creepers!

Boris Kopp

I'm so glad Reign of Fire is even considered. Yes, please watch this hardly underrated movie.

Boris Kopp

Same here. My friends took me to to watch it in theater and I didn't expected it to be this good.

Elliott Bishop

Reign of fire is so underrated. I have watched it in so long so I hope it wins. If not definitely hellraiser

Paul Mix

Her suffering will be legendary even in Hell.

Paul Mix

Yes! Silent Hill was one of the first good adaptations from a video game.

Chris Graham

Drag Me to Hell is a great movie, some really cool scenes, I always thought with a couple of changes to the script it could have made a good Evil Dead movie! I think they would enjoy Ash Vs The Evil Dead as a quick TV show

Jordy's_Here!

Shin Godzilla being in dead last makes my heart hurt 😭😭

John

The 13th Warrior is definitely worth watching

Chase Lonnergan

Tough call for me. Except Jurassic World, which is easily the weakest. But man... I really hate that they will probably watch Shin Godzilla next. Not because it's bad, but because it's too good. The problem with watching Minus One and Shin first is that they are such good movies, and Godzilla is so terrifying in both of them, that it kinda ruins the rest of the franchise. It's a little difficult to accept the cheesy fun of the character in most of its other iterations after starting with the two most serious modern films.

FWPJR.

I was really hoping that somehow Jeepers Creepers had a chance here, but right now it looks like it had zero chance of winning. It’s one of my favorite horror movies, but I know you two will react to it sooner or later. But Hellraiser is also good, and it looks like it’ll win this.

FWPJR.

I was so happy when I saw Jeepers Creepers on here, but right now it looks like it has no chance of winning.

FWPJR.

Jurassic Park 3 is great, I don’t get why people don’t like it that much.

maikeru

let‘s hope simone doesn‘t eat before watching hellraiser

FWPJR.

Yes to Jurassic Park 3, it needs to be reacted to by them. It’s a must ( imo )

FWPJR.

If they do a Pete’s Dragon reaction, it has to be the original. Not the newer one. But hey, maybe that’s just me though

robodong

jp3 preceding jw sure. but how is peter jacksons king kong in anyway necessary before kong skull island? its completely different takes and 2 different restarts on the franchise. its not like peter jackson came up with king kong so they gotta watch the original either.

robodong

we the community really should come up with a cinebinge bingo card to play

YukoValis

I am happily surprised that Hellraiser is good on the poll at the moment. That one is... interesting. The book is even weirder. Which is odd because the book was written by the director of this movie. So he had full control.

robodong

its also 3 and a half hours long. theyve said before super long movies are difficult to add into their schedule due to how pack it already is

FWPJR.

I would also suggest Congo, it was one of my favorite movies to rent from Blockbuster back in the 90’s. I probably rented it at least once every two weeks for awhile after it came out on video. I think it’s great and it should be reacted to by you two.

robodong

what a terrible day to have eyes.

Jacob King

Reign of Fire! It’s bonkers, it’s ludicrous but it works.

DM DC

Yay! Hellraiser! Looking forward to that one! LOL I would recommend Godzilla 2014 before Kong Skull Island. Not really necessary but I do need to say that they are part of the same universe. Basically, they're part of the same franchise.

Jacob King

It’s directed by Hobbit Peter Jackson and not LOTR Peter Jackson though.

maikeru

last night I started watching succession - not bad. seems like watching rich assholes being obnoxious, angry and dumb can be quite entertaining.

CT

Don't skip Jurassic Park 3. Don't skip Godzilla (2014). Jeepers Creepers was directed by a convicted pdf, just so ya know.

Aaron Stinson

Because it’s the last one in the franchise that I care about😂 Skull Island is a little past my time, so I really have no personal attachment to it.

John

The Relic I definitely recommend

Potsi

The box, you opened it, we came

Marko T.

Its 3 hours and 12 minutes.

Marko T.

It was made right after Return of the King. Pre-production started when it was in post-production.

Marko T.

Because 2005 Kong is much better. Also its a proper King Kong movie.

Max Krause

Yes, keep voting for Hellraiser! We have such sights to show them!

Jonathan thomas

Please watch Bright - You will love it!!

Darren Boyle

Reign & Hellraiser all the way, the rest of the options are very weak imo

Nabikon

Shin Godzilla is the best Godzilla

Sumner Hayes

Agreed, a super-interesting take on the disaster monster concept. A shame it's not doing well in the poll.

jmundt33a

And a third for Shape of Water

jmundt33a

Still worth seeing and reacting to.

Nabikon

Let's just say it's so good it won Best Film at the Japanese Oscars

sarCC

I mean, only one of these is "the most evolved creature on the planet", so...

Major Peril

If you are concerned about keeping with the Monsterverse timeline, you should watch Kong: Skull Island first before Godzilla (2014). Not that it matters so much for Godzilla, but if you are going on to watch Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, watching Kong first gives you the origin story and the who, what and why surrounding Monarch.

Adam

King Kong (1933)

Roby J

I would absolutely love to see a reaction to Shape of Water.

sarCC

Can't believe they put a file in prison. (All joking aside, that guy is awful and no attention should be drawn to his work.)

Connor

Hellraiser on here makes me so happy, yes please.

Potsi

Hellraiser and no tears, please. It's a waste of good suffering.

Spacedone

Hellraiser is an odd choice for this list IMO but Simone will freak out when she see who one of the lead actors is.

Dirge Girl

Night of the Lepus (1972) [Thriller] Them! (1952) [Sci-Fi] Gremlins 2 (1990) [Horror]

Spacedone

+1 for Mimic. Del Toro doing creepy creature-feature rather than his later fun creature-features (Hellboy etc)

Tyler Foster

I get that it's tough because if you pick off one film due to someone who worked on it then there are thousands of films that arguably deserve the same treatment, and I don't really like picking on the films that make polls as I don't intend to critique anyone's taste, but I will never understand the obsession with Jeepers Creepers, a film written and directed by a convicted child molester, in which he processes his own predatory behavior. I don't think he should be unable to return to society, but I definitely think that because his crime was facilitated by the power he had as a film director, once he had served his time, he should have never been allowed on a film set again, much less given the opportunity to return to the exact same position he used to abuse people, and even artistically explore his own bullshit behavior without any concern for his victims or how those films would impact them.

Jason McCloud

As much as I enjoyed Jeepers Creepers before I knew, I cannot support his work in any fashion

Chase Lonnergan

Unpopular opinion, but I don't care what he did. A good movie is a good movie, no matter who made it. And it's not like it's going to pay him any money to watch it for the channel.

Xavier Casanova

tbf, they liked Ferris Bueller and there was a pdf in that. At least with Jeepers Creepers he's not on screen, lol.

Jason McCloud

I have no doubt they would enjoy it and there would be nothing wrong with that. I was merely commenting on why I couldn't personally vote for it

Xavier Casanova

Maybe if it were called Biceps Godzilla it'd get more love.

rictus grin

only two on here i would encourage people to watch, voted for Hellraiser but Reign of Fire would be my second choice

Xavier Casanova

The difference being that in Jeepers Creepers, unlike other films, they don't actually have to see, root for or acknowledge a pdf character.

rictus grin

i think Creature from the Black Lagoon would be good for a future poll

m

I mean, by that virtue, they shouldn't watch 97 % of all Hollywood productions.

m

The movie I'm personally looking for, especially since they're obviously Peter Jackson fans, is Dead Alive/Braindead. All the horror shlock, packaged as one of the funniest and yet stylistically true movies in that genre - very much creature-forward, too. That, and, honestly, Bad Taste. Something very special about those films.

Paul T Hewes

Yes! Hellraiser! The story of a woman so thirsty for a dead man's D she is willing to murder her own family to bring it back!

Jeff I.

Just FYI Jeb, they get an email for every comment on Patreon. You don't really need to post the exact same comment multiple times.

Ben Stevens

Simone will already be quite accustomed to the ways of the Cenobites if she's ever encountered Elesh Norn at the Commander table! i'm shocked at how many pinheads have already voted in this poll.. thought it was going to be a battle of the kaiju for the top slot.. i guess the suffering never ends for my wallet month to month with the crippling subscription dues lol jk i love it here. cinebitch leaving k bye <3

Florian

Yeah, Hellraiser or Reign of Fire, both great ❤️

Thomas Hilbert

Make sure to spoil as much as you can beforehand.

Thomas Hilbert

Make sure to spoil as much as you can beforehand.

Ben Stevens

make sure to come straight at me and skip the comment directly preceding mine pal

R. Chang

Does Simone play Commander? When do they talk about that?

Maiki

+1 Spy Game

Jason McCloud

Again, just expressing my opinion. Nowhere have I tried to convince anyone not to watch it. You good?

BoredLittleLady

Yes! I’ve recommended Van Helsing so many times already. I believe it’d only be new to Simone but I hope they watch it for the channel one day.

BoredLittleLady

Agree! It’s fun and exciting and sweet and there’s a dog. Checks all the boxes.

Shonnicus

This polls seems on a collision course of King Kong vs Godzilla. Must check out King Kong vs Godzilla (1962-63).

FWPJR.

It’s great, but that’s just my opinion. If you laugh at it, that’s alright.

sarCC

It is rather crazy that Gremlins 2 hasn't been watched by more reactors. Especially since the consensus is that it is a much funnier movie than the original.

Shonnicus

The Blob (1988) is the best, but The Blob (1958) does have Steve McQueen.

FWPJR.

But tbh I haven’t seen it since I was renting it on a weekly basis, so I might feel differently now. Who knows?

Shonnicus

Reign of Fire = Dragonslayer (1981). Many have mentioned Guillermo del Toro. Dragonslayer is one of his favorite films

CD

You know...some might say Alec Baldwin is a bit of a "monster" in Glengarry Glen Ross lol.

Zectorman

Such sights to show you....

Brandon

A criminal lack of votes for Shin Godzilla. Not bitter. Not bitter at all. 😭

sarCC

I have to assume it's solely because it's the most underseen title on the list. I can't imagine anyone who's seen it voting for anything else over it.

John

I second the First 4 movies, particularly Crimson Tide. Gene Hackman and Denzel Washington doing a tremendous job

M.C.G

Honestly Them! is a genuinely good little movie

Jimi Hart

C’mon Jeepers Creepers. Would make for some amazing reaction. Justin Long’s breakthrough role!!

Walter White

One day jeepers creepers will win 🙏🏼

Daniel Jones

I’m kinda surprised Jeepers Creepers is getting so much love still, considering it’s written and directed by a convicted sex offender.

robodong

some of us can separate artist and the art. i dont have to agree with eugenics to enjoy Lovecrafts writing, and i can mourne Ozzys passing and enjoy Black Sabbath without agreeing with his past domestic violence, or Chaplins or Elvis' work and still find their pedo marriages vile.

Tyler Foster

The vast majority of Hollywood people who have done bad things in their personal lives are never officially charged with anything for various reasons, and generally the work in question was completed and became hugely popular before the wrongdoing was made public. The thing that irks me about Jeepers Creepers is that Salva was not only convicted and served jail time but Jeepers Creepers was made afterward. I do not think he should have ever worked in Hollywood again after being convicted. It also bothers me that the movie is pretty obviously subtextually about his own criminal behavior.

BellaBlue

Requests for your consideration: Molly Gordon deserves the world edition - Booksmart (2019) *Molly Gordon scene stealer activate* - Theater Camp (2023) *MG, Co Writer, Star, Co Director* - Good Boys (2019) - Shiva Baby (2020) - Oh, Hi (2025) *MG CoWriter...not streaming yet but soon enough*

Rob

Hell or High Water needs to be on there. I think you both would dig it

dave

Early 2000s Matthew McConaughey, Christian Bale and Gerard Butler? Sign me up. Make Reign of Fire happen.

Matthew Blackwood

You know what else is a good reason? Just treat yo self. Life is short.

Matthew Blackwood

I can't believe we're actually looking at a strong possibility of Hellraiser here! If they dig the lore, they can do II and the 2022 reboot - which was actually really good!

Skip

Creep is far too kind a word, the guy is a literal monster

Skip

the guy is a convicted child rapist and nearly ALL of his movies are about the pursuit of young boys in one way or the other. Why should we separate "art" and "artist" here when he clearly doesn't?

Andrew

Hellraiser is a solid movie but it's just so gross. 🤢

Dale Smith

I'm still holding out for Reign of Fire. If Hellraiser wins then fair enough but perhaps you could add Reign of Fire to the non poll schedule for sometime soon? Unless you're schedules are too full then ignore me :)

Scribbles_the_mouse

George mentioned never seeing any Peter pan movie. I suggest Hook also they haven't seen Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

Polecat21

+1's for Booksmart and Good Boys

Fox

Session 9

Fox

Can you react to dragon the Bruce lee story. 1993. Literally no one apart from one reactor gas reacted to it on YouTube

Logan Nelson

Jeepers Creepers + Simone = Hilarious... She is well known for her love of the jump scare...

Quis

Jeepers Creepers even though the director and writer is a real creeper , the plot alone is original and very interesting

Ian Hunt

Hellraiser for the win here hopefully!

UnlicensedOkie

If it’s a movie that’s fairly close, like this one, I’m hoping they do it maybe the following week or something

Opti_Frog

II and the reboot are decent, but nothing touches the first.

Opti_Frog

Yeah, it's hardly anything special, and the ending is eye-rollingly weak.

Tyler Foster

And Powder before Jeepers Creepers.

Opti_Frog

[Mild thematic SPOILERS for Shin Godzilla] You can't imagine why a political satire about the Japanese government's response to natural disasters isn't doing well in this poll?

Ben Stevens

She has mentioned in multiple intros that she plays Magic. I assume she plays the most popular format.

Gishgali

He was convicted and sent to prison for molesting a boy on one of his film sets. That is a little bit more than a creeper.

Quis

Borderline monster really I was just saying the movie is still a great film I just hate who’s behind it

Korrok

Not worth supporting a child molester

Nathan

Wolf Creek, Razorback for some Aussie representation

John

This is definitely a movie worth watching

michael murray

For any Hellraiser fans that might have missed the news; they announced less than a week ago a Hellraiser game is 'coming soon'. Rumours that it could well be later this year. Clive Barker has been heavily involved (allegedly) and Doug Bradley is playing Pinhead. And it's a single player, story driven, horror survival; not some IP harvesting asynchronous multiplayer :) Trailer here - https://player.vimeo.com/video/1102301023?h=63404c4147

SICProwl

GO HELLRAISER GOOOO!

Brandon Meng

I'm going to need to revisit Reign of Fire. I was young when I saw it in theater and it didn't stand out in my mind. Looking forward to that reaction. Additional recs for your consideration: Perks of Being a Wallflower Manchester by the Sea Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri Sideways The Royal Tenenbaums

jay

I haven’t seen any of these, but I remember hearing recommendations for Reign of Fire under some recent post (must’ve been a McConaughey reaction) so I’ll go with that. Definitely will be counting down the seconds until the Better Call Saul post tomorrow 👌

megamoo chilli

I see so much criticism of Reign of Fire but its got solid original world building concept. Sure there are some plot contrivances but its still a good film. Deserves more credit.

sarCC

I prefer the 2nd one by a wide margin.

sarCC

There really isn't much to Reign... I remember being disappointed. The bar scene made me laugh because everyone was celebrating and then one of the leads made a killjoy comment and everyone got so quiet. Really captured the entire vibe of the movie.

sarCC

One of Shane Black's best scripts.

Evan

You guys should really watch Cloverfield paradox. It explains previous 2 films.

MacGuffinStuff

The thing about Hellraiser is that if you watch the first one, you absolutely have to watch the second, Hellraiser 2 is so much both better and worse. By that I mean the first is clumsy, and there's a whole BTS story as to why that is, while the second is just more professionally executed, not just the effects but the story, pacing, acting, they didn't dub unnecessarily etc. By worse I mean it's much more effective at raising Hell, certain scenes still give me the creeps. And I didn't hate the third one, after that they lost me though.

David Szoke

I will get hate but i didn't like all 3

Matrim

I didn’t think Shin Godzilla was going to win, but it makes me sad that it’s dead last 😢

Logan Nelson

How do you guys consider which to vote for? I try to look at what is going to give a better reaction over whether i like the film or not. Like, for this poll, I'd say Jeepers Creepers would illicit a better reactionary watch over Hellraiser. Reign of Fire really hits the metrics for this as well, but overall Jeepers Creepers is going to have the better "reaction" in my opinion. Thoughts?

Logan Nelson

It explains it if you do the extra few hours of research into what it's explaining lol

Lemons

Shin Godzilla is so good, wish it got more votes.

AC10

"How do you guys consider which to vote for?" First and foremost I vote for what I wanna watch myself. I feel like that's the point. After that I do consider what I think Simone and George would enjoy.... But that is a clear Second.... I vote for what I like first. Basically if I love multiple options I can be swayed to vote for what I think they would like more.

Stephanie Bedworth

My first thought is always “is this something they’re going to enjoy?” I try to pick things I think they’ll like, based on what I’ve seen from them in the past. My secondary motivation is it a movie that I enjoy? If yes, I’m more likely to vote for it. It’s like sharing a movie I love with friends.

Steven Cavanagh

Jeepers Creepers is a great Movie, but yer I get why it's losing. but the best one is winning.

Be Human

Some fun recommendations: 1. Natural Born Killers 2. The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou 3. Layer Cake 4. Lucky Number Slevin

Be Human

Everyone is different. I feel like Hellraiser would be a better reaction than Jeepers Creepers.

I still have nightmares over one of those scenes in 2 and I saw this movie over thirty freaking years ago.

Joseph M Sica

Yes omfg yes I agree! Kekek btw Robodong, I'm using that line!!!! Kekek Probably the worst Monstah pole I've ever seen! I didn't want to say anything! Kek

not sure if I’ve recommended this before, but I just rewatched The Lego Movie for the first time in I don’t even know how long with you guys, and I’m so surprised The Lego Batman Movie hasn’t been done yet! From what I remember it’s much more hilarious (while not dissing The Lego Movie, it’s just that good) and I think especially now that you guys have done more Batman films you guys would really love it 🤣

Tyler Foster

The writer/director of Jeepers Creepers, a man who was convicted and jailed for molesting a child and recording it on the set of his 1989 debut Clownhouse. After his release, Francis Ford Coppola personally stepped in to keep Salva working for some reason, allowing Salva to make Powder (1995) and Jeepers Creepers (2001) and Jeepers Creepers 2 (2003).

Donna Castellano

Guess they can just watch Reign of Fire now.

Donna Castellano

I enjoyed Sphere, even if it did change a lot from the book. Cast made it watch worthy.

John Every

A VERY good Monster movie is Grandmas Boy (2006)

James Lawson

Fierce Creatures, the "not a sequal" to A Fish Called Wanda, one of my old favourites. George will appreciate Jamie Lee Curtis. Simone will appreciate the animals.

Brandon Meng

One side note, if you don't want to support Jeepers Creepers and convicted pedophile director Victor Salva but you like Justin Long, check out his other classics, mainly Accepted, Zack and Miri Make a Porno, and Waiting...

Darren Boyle

16 year old me was DEEPLY disturbed by Hellraiser, at the time. Visually though now, its near 40yr age shows and makes rewatching quite hard

michael denny

We have such sights to show you. I hope we get through all the hellraiser movies 5 is bonkers

droodly

Usually what I think will get the most fun reaction from them that's re-watchable. I work remote with computer systems, so have audio-books, movies, or reaction videos playing during most shifts. It's nice to have a catalog of fun stuff with some humans interacting when I feel like it. That's why I went with Kong, Reign and Jurassic World here. Hellraiser is my favorite, but I'm not gonna just slap it on for a fun distraction from my job.

Brien

Girl Interrupted, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Rounders, Edward Scissorhands (Some of my recommendations) :-)

funky weapon

I vote for what I think will be fun for a watch-along. for example I cackled at the idea of Simone watching Hellraiser, so that's how I voted.

funky weapon

Hellraiser 1 and 2 have sort of bled together into one movie in my memory. I rewatched them a few years ago and was surprised when certain parts were from 2 instead of 1.

Not sure if you guys have ever reacted to any 'live' performances but Grease "Live" and Phantom of the Opera 25th anniversary at the Royal Albert Hall are both excellent. Some baseball movies: Bull Durham, The Natural, 42, Major League, Eight Men Out, The Rookie, For Love of the Game

Logan Nelson

I actually think Hellraiser would be a good reaction now that I've thought on it... And i can understand why Jeepers is losing after a couple google searches.... I wish i had italics to put on "would...

Logan Nelson

with the exception of the first movie (i have a wierd love for that film) and Goodmans evil ass in the second... Theres little else to love tbh... But id still watch it again if they give it a react...

Logan Nelson

Especially when you consider other fantasy movies of that era... With the exception of Lord of the Rings, it wasn't a genre that got very much love up to that point...

Logan Nelson

GO GO GOJIRA... I know it's not the name anymore but I think it works better for this lol...

Logan Nelson

This is the Japanese pronunciation from the 1954 classic.... FYI

Craig Motbey

A recommendation that has nothing to do with this poll, but does work nicely as a follow on from the Mad Max series: Salute of the Jugger, which was released as Blood of Heroes in the USA. The greatest post-apocalyptic sports movie ever made, it features Rutger Hauer, Joan Chen and Vincent D’Onofrio.

Orphan Crippler

Jeepers Creepers scared the crap out of me as a kid, and the second one is pretty good as well, the third is trash tho

Jesse Coombs

As per your instructions, I am hereby recommending "The Muppet Movie" (1979). It's one of my favorite movies, and I'm certain that I've requested it in the past.

I'm not sure if this has been suggested, but I wonder if you could react to the Purple Rain movie, if you havent seen it before. Prince's first 'movie. I guess some would say its barely a movie, but I dont know, could be fun.

Stefan Daniw

I would love if you guys did the Monsterverse: Godzilla (2014) Kong: Skull Island (2017) Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) Godzilla vs. Kong (2021) Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024) Godzilla x Kong: Supernova (2027)

I would love for you to do the following tv shows: Togetherness, The Detour, Party Down, Farscape, Eastbound & Down, Hung, Silo (also would love if you did the film "The City of Ember" first before Silo), Catastrophe, Tokyo Vice.

Maniacalmouse

I think you guys might really like the animated movies from Laika Studios (Coraline, Paranorman, The Boxtrolls, Kubo and the Two Strings, Missing Link) They are all done in beautiful stop motion and have interesting stories. I would say Kubo and the Two Strings is the best, just barely beating out Coraline. Paranorman and The Boxtrolls are also great. I haven’t seen Missing Link, so others will have to weigh in on that one. I wouldn’t think it would be terrible. Keep up the great work!

BoredLittleLady

I’ll second to Coraline and Kubo and the Two Strings, they are great! I haven’t seen the others.

Speaking of creature features have you heard the story of 4 turtles and a sewer rat living together in NYC? Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990)
