Been a while since seeing JP3 and Book of Eli but will be a fun week. Soul’s music is outstanding too

Lee Fernee

Dead man's shoes please.

Śéáń

I certainly don't mind the idea of a Stranger Things refresh ahead of the final season in a few months.

Inkpendude

As much as people hate JP3, it was still a fun movie to watch with your family on a Sunday afternoon

Marcus Hicks

So glad you're reacting to Soul. Love that movie so much.

Jeff K.

I think I actually enjoy it more than Lost World, to be honest.

Inkpendude

Definitely better than the recent ones haha

Monica Jane

Lots of stuff to look forward to! Ah, Soul, great film overall. Also, the movie Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross won their second Academy Award for the score. My 16-year-old past self would be mind blown (as she listens to NiN on repeat writing angry bad poetry in school).

Anonymous Andy

As far as I’m concerned it’s the best one after JP 1, I know that’s controversial, but I feel pretty strongly about it

lalaland

JP3 made tea leoni unwatchable for me for such a long time. her character was the fucking worst in that movie.

Matthew Richson

Oh resuming Jurassic films after so long huh? This should be fun.

maikeru

better than all that came after 3 IMO

lalaland

i think most of the hate for JP3 isnt the story or movie itself, its tea leoni and william h macy's characters and how annoyingly dumb they were. like they took the usual mistakes and errors made by children characters and made 2 full grown ass adults do it. which made them reaaally annoying.

lalaland

i think its cause last time they had jurassic world on a poll, some people were screaming about JP3 first for the sake of completionism. not for any actual meaningful movie watching or plot development reasons, just so we can check a meaningless box.

buddha bling

Hell I like it better then lost world

James Kennedy

It is way better than the Lost World

Elroy

Are the superhero movies coming back fantastic four , Superman ?

Robb

Is at least equally bad as anything that came afterwards so seems fair I would like other franchises too be completed too Saw specially

Robb

I'll ask for my usual EVEREST 2015 at least seeing it in a poll would be something 😐

Senjak

Will you being doing Andor season 2 at some point?

Ryan

After season one of Stranger Things

lalaland

dalton i dont doubt you believe that. movies are entirely subjective. but better or not peoples complains when they had jurassic world on a poll wanst for any reason other than completionism. jp3 has no story relevance to JW.

Senjak

Ok. Thank you.

lalaland

and didn they say Saw got them on YT's shit list for a bit for community guidelines or whatever?

Mr. Writhms

They really enjoyed season 1. Im sure they will.

lalaland

it was explained, literally repeatedly, in the last post of Andor...

Hanno

Damn

Max Carter

The word underrated gets massively overused but I think Soul really is underrated. Not the pinnacle of Pixar or anything but a really beautiful story. Probably the movie of theirs most explicitly aimed towards an older audience. Jurassic Park 3 is not great but is reasonable brain off popcorn fare and not as bad as some say imo I do not care for The Book of Eli but that's fine

Jonathan thomas

You guys will love Bright - sci fi action!

CT

As one of those "complainers" lalaland, I genuinely enjoy JP3. I didn't want them to skip it, just to get to JW. As for being a completionist, I don't care about them getting to any of the World movies.

Jeromy M

Still a babe

Jeromy M

I hope 'The Count of Monte Cristo' still gets a watch after that nailbiter of a poll.

Bookwormy

Yesss, Book of Eli

Matthew Richson

Okay I didn’t expect all this when I made that comment. 😅 Having recently watched through the whole franchise(sans Rebirth). I honestly found something to enjoy in each movie, hell I’d probably put every movie on again over say the Micheal Bay Transformers films as an example. I guess I’m just that easy going.

Dan

Yay Season 2! I'll bet Simone's favorite episode is the same as mine! Can't wait!

cincassette

Soul is so beautiful! My favourite of the modern Pixar movies.

UnlicensedOkie

I love Book of Eli. Saw it on a cruise when I was on my Senior Trip. I remember thinking “what the heck is this movie that I’d never seen before?” Didn’t realize it was a new movie. Bought my first Blu-ray player that summer and this was my first Blu-ray. That being said, I still hoped The Count of Monte Cristo would have won. Regardless, both movies are ones y’all will love

UnlicensedOkie

I hope Jurassic park 3 means yall are going back and looking at other sequels, or yall just getting ready for the new Jurassic movie. Fair enough.

FWPJR.

I’m looking forward to watching you two react to Jurassic Park 3, I know a lot of people don’t like it. But I’ve always enjoyed it.

Cory Morrison

Pixars you have left: A Bug’s Life, Finding Nemo, Up, Cars 2, The Good Dinosaur, Finding Dory, Cars 3, Toy Story 4, Onward, Luca, Lightyear, Elemental and Elio

jmundt33a

Book of Eli, the kind of movie that the DW and Affirm dream of making. Ironic. Great film and great performances by Washington and Oldman.

jmundt33a

Count of Monte Cristo soon?

Dan Holmes

J3 is the second best Jurassic Film

Stephanie Bedworth

I haven’t watched Book of Eli since it came out but I do remember liking it. Excited for the Stranger Things journey.

Korpse

Frequency (2000)

lalaland

considering how much George hated Kate Capshaws non stop screaming in Indie 2, i 100% will wager he will find Tea Leoni just as awful in JP3 with the non stop shouting and screaming. i would also guess Simone would likely find the characters too dumb for her liking, since she often points out not liking characters being dumb when theres every reason not to.

davidov

Aww taking a break from bi-weekly Bond? I can understand after 6(!!!!) movies in a bi-weekly row a break might be nice, but I was looking forward to finally leaving the 60's behind us, and the next one definatly is not one of the best to start another run with. Ah well, still have Moore to look forward to in the future!

lalaland

oh no doubt. attractiveness, talent and likeability did a LOT of work there. can probably do the same DeVito test with Amy Schumer instead for that character.

John

This looks like an interesting week. Given that you have returned to the Naked Gun and Jurassic Park. I would encourage you to consider watching Rocky 5 and returning to the Rocky/Creed universe. Given how much you liked Sinners Creed is another collaboration of Michael B Jordan and Ryan Coogler

Stefan Daniw

Yes!!! It’s about goddamn time you guys reacted to Stranger Things! 😁

AVATAR-X

More from Terry Gilliam Time Bandits (1981) The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (1988)

Jacob Vallier

Jurassic Park 3. George, I predict you’ll have negative opinions on some of the characters.

Guy-on-Couch

Dammit I like The Book of Eli but I was pulling for The Count...hopefully that's coming

Tom Hess

[Velociraptor voice] ALAN !

Big Bang

Happy for The book of eli. But apocalypto came so close. Hope sooner

jmundt33a

I thought they did Up.

Elroy

100% it had me tear up and actually rethink my life choices lol

Mike Kay

Looking forward to it! I watched only the first season, so it will be a nice refresh as well as some new!

Fattydoe

you know what doctor grant, Billy was right...........

elias rinis

You should do the VVitch soon :)

Logan Kerlee

I'm SO with you on this! The show's awesome and loads of fun. I think Simone will have a good time with it and George as well. :)

Logan Kerlee

lol, it's a fun waste of time movie. It's something that you put on when you aren't really watching. If you're looking for something like that - you'll enjoy it.

Adam

I absolutely need you guys to do Kung Pow Enter the Fist before I die

FWPJR.

I actually enjoy watching it, it’s a fun watch imo

silverarrow06

I love that you watch "Soul", it is such a precious gem of a movie, probably the last exceptional pixar movie for a long time...🥰

DarlingSara

Awe! I was hoping for Apocalypto to win! Hopefully you'll watch it soon

Saifu

Fyi, Mission Impossible and Superman are out on digital.

Nanners

Sooooo excited for Stranger Things!!

sarCC

It's waaaaaaay better than The Lost World

RogueRN

I don’t know why, but I was thinking Andor S2 would start this week. I’ve been looking forward to Tuesdays the past few weeks…now I’m kinda sad… ;)

BigM

Yay The Book of Eli won? Woopie.

Gootz

I just read below they will go back to season 2 of Andor after season 1 of Stranger Things so that's cool. It's not a huge break.

DonkyDave

wow great week ahead, straight onto Season 2 of TNG and Jurassic Park 3 too!

dave

Yessss, looking forward to Soul. I have a feeling you two are gonna love it.

G P

Recommending: The Road Barry Lyndon

Raven Dark

Mine too. It's not my favorite of the whole series, but it's high up on the list. The only reason it's not higher is because, as good as that episode is, there are a handful that are even better.

Max Carter

first season is the only good one

Max Carter

The only decent season of Stranger Things

Raven Dark

Stranger things! Let's goooo! Never watched Soul or The Book of Eli, but I'll happily give them a shot watching them with you two. Plus, I've heard a lot of good things about both. I'm one of the many that feels season 2 of TNG is weaker, along with season 1, but there are a few episodes I enjoy in there, and it does have one of my favorite episodes of the series. That episode is more than likely the same one Simone was talking about. Super excited for that. Also, Stranger Things and TNG on the same channel?! You guys are killing it!

Morion Williams

Queen of the damned (Ann Rice Vampire) Repo the Genetic Opera (Gothic Musical) God Bless America (funny thought provoking, better than falling down) 10 Thing I hate about you (Obvious, said you guys where going to) I now pronounce you chuck and larry (death by laughter) Animatrix (Really cool animated sci-fi) A.I. Artificial Intelligence (Cool and sad Sci-fi) IQ (Awesome Romcom) Mighty Ducks (Feel good sports comedy) A score to settle (Good Nicolas Cage Action) Real Steel (Feel good family action comedy)

Adam

Don't let the poster for Parenthood dissuade you. It doesn't match the tone of the movie at all. The movie is funny, but not campy, like the poster makes it look. It's got a lot of heart.

Jonathan Weston

Young Sherlock Holmes (1985, Adventure) Grosse Pointe Blank (1997, Action/Comedy) Intolerable Cruelty (2003, Comedy)

WastedPo

They also might find it interesting to see Joaquin Phoenix as a child actor.

Fattydoe

one of the most underrated spoof movies of all time.

Adam

I'm sure Simone would also like to see a young Keanu Reeves, too.

CommanderBrownCoat

Ok love the coming week but y'all really need to get back into the View Askewnivere! Jan and Silent Bob Strike Back! Clerks 2! Haha that movie will really test the loyalty to LotR! Also hope to see Grandma's Boy back up on the polls! And the batches of westerns got me hoping to see City Slickers up there some time too! Keep watching those movies!

Stefan Daniw

Please react to more comedies. I need more happiness in my life.

SANAMDEEP

in case you feel like doing more bollywood, Om Shanti Om is the best of the best and literally no other bollywood movie comes near it in terms of songs, comedy, drama etc.

John Smith

Top Secret! (1984) Real Genius (1984) Airplane II (1982) Loaded Weapon 1 (1993) All comedies worth watching.

PrimitiveCruisingArtist

Here for Stranger Things, brah. And brah...babe. ...Uh... I'll shut up now.

Cory Garron

When watching it, I keep thinking to myself, "I wonder what George would think about Empire".

droodly

George and Simone! Since we are approaching the 3 year anniversary of your "Gremlins" reaction release date, I thought I'd share a fun fact. Approximately 414 million people have been born since you watched "Gremlins"! There is a non-zero chance one of those 414 million people managed to be born and watch "Gremlins 2: The New Batch" before you did. SEE? FUN! CHATGPT MATHS: Births per year globally = 18.5 births per 1,000 people * 8,000,000,000 people / 1,000 = 148,000,000 births per year. Since we're considering from October 15, 2022, to August 30, 2025, that's about 2 years and 10 months (roughly 2.8 years). Total births = 148,000,000 * 2.8 = 414,400,000 births.

Mike FromOz

I have watched "The Book of Eli", but damned if I can remember it. I hope the Count of Monte Cristo gets a look in soon, which it most likely will because of how close things got in the poll.

Doug the Movie Guy

So hyped about Book of Eli, such a hidden Gem of a movie. I just hope they don't read too much because some of the material might accidentally spoil it.

Jay

Unrelated but I wish the cinebingers site had a playlist feature so i can put the star trek episodes on as I go to bed and they could just play all night.

Blqbrd

Apocalypto is coming next next week! I can smell it

Blqbrd

I have so many horror movies I want them to see! Hopefully they do a lot more newer horror films this Fall

WastedPo

Since we're putting unrealistic requests for the Cinebingers site, I thought it would be cool if one could minimize it, while it's playing a reaction video, on an Android phone, and be able to do other stuff on the phone while the minimized screen is still playing. (For reference, the Youtube App works this way.) However, I'm not even sure if that's technologically possible with a player that works inside of a web browser. (I know nothing of technology.)

Cinebinge

hi WastedPo, as the site isnt its own dedicated app, picture in picture or split screen mode will be done via the browser app itself. Your phone likely have a 'split screen' function, to run the browser app (with the site/video playing) and another app simultaneously.

Happy Hanukkah

Indeed, my imaginary two-year-old twins keep me up at night, crying: "Why do Simone and George so hate us that they deprive us of a reaction to Gremlins 2?! They are unconscionable!"

Jeremy S

If you guys haven't seen Trailer Park Boys, it's 100% worth reacting to for a long TV show at some point. Would love to see a Canadian's reaction to it!

Fattydoe

if anything it will probably be count of monte crisco

Jeff K.

I recall being so hyped for Book of Eli because, at the time, it felt like the closest thing I'd ever get to a Fallout movie. I enjoyed it but also recall being kinda disappointed by it. And agreed on Monte Cristo; it's a very entertaining movie that's definitely worth a watch. Just a fun, pulpy and almost B-movie level adventure (and I mean that in the best possible way). And I'm not gonna mention who's in it so as not to spoil the sure-to-be-delighted surprise from George and Simone, but it's the first time I ever saw a certain actor and it's wild to look at what a little dweeb he was versus what he's become now.

Jeff K.

Parenthood is such a fantastic movie, with an absolutely LOADED cast. Love it.

Adam

With all the great performances, Dianne Wiest is the best.

faultylogic

I still would like to see a reaction to the TV series The Orville once all of the Trek episodes have run out.

dudewheresmycar

You might be waiting a while. There's a total of 948 episodes of Trek across all series. At a rate of 3 a week, minus the ones George and Simone have reacted to (127 I believe?), that's around 5 years, 3 months, and 1 weeks worth of content.

faultylogic

Hmm, I'm pretty stubborn. I might be able to wait it out.
