Dibbles

Rat race is the best one here

JakeyShakeyBakeyBoy

Meaning of Life would round out the Python experience but Kung Pow and Grandma’s Boy are two of the most quoted movies in my friend circle. Hard to choose haha.

jmundt33a

That’s a pretty barren list for me. Allow me to suggest some others for the future She’s Out of My League Oscar (1991) Soapdish Noises Off No Strings Attached The Wedding Date The Secret of My Success Grosse Pointe Blank Loser Imagine Me and You Mr. Right

Dirge Girl

Rat Race... then... It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963) [Comedy/Adventure]

Adam S

Love Rat Race! ☺️

Young Blood Priest

It looks like a long shot but if Up in Smoke somehow wins please toke up. Just a little.

Rev

Wait... is there a 'McGruber' that came out in 2002 that I've never heard of, or is that supposed to be 'MacGruber' from 2010?

Clinton Bull

Interested in most of those but i have to go for MacGruber first, meaning of life second.

DemNikoArt

A good classics list. I hope we get some newer ones soon too. There are so many good ones. My recommendations: - Booksmart - Starsky & Hutch - I love you man - Palm Springs - Role models - 500 days of summer - Cloudy with a chance of meatballs - Mitchells Vs the machine - Dath becomes her - sexdrive - Beerfest - Thank you for smoking - Just Friends

Paddy Thompson

Alrighty let's round out the python movies! Meaning of Life is a very much underrated movie, hope you like it!

jmundt33a

Booksmart and Sex Drive.

Mike FromOz

Meaning of Life is going to be such a good react! If they thought the Monty Python films have been weird so far 😅🤪

ComradQuestion

Kung Pow is my favorite on this list, but it is also the worst movie. I’m determined to make you guys watch it lol.

Hans Olav Sletnes

Recommendations as far as comedy goes: Ed Wood (works just as well under Drama) What About Bob? Bowfinger

Jordan Hume

Grandmas Boy is 100% y'all's kind of movie! ;-)

Brandon Meng

Kung Pow for me in this grouping. Grandma's Boy has a cult following and it definitely has funny moments but otherwise just really not the poll for me so I'm taking a massive shotgun approach to recommendations this week in hopes something else sticks: Actual comedies: Forgetting Sarah Marshall Walk Hard Knocked Up I Love You, Man Waiting... Van Wilder Sex Drive Kingpin Mr. Deeds Dramadies: Sideways Perks of Being a Wallflower The Royal Tenenbaums Rushmore Election Nebraska The Holdovers Midnight in Paris Silver Linings Playbook 50/50 About Time Almost Famous The Banshees of Inisherin Lars and the Real Girl Moonstruck Birdman The Big Sick Rain Man Cheers!

Draddax

Movie recommendation: Bedazzled. Great comedy movie

Jef Etters

Smokey and the Bandit is a lot of fun. Of course Monty Python will win any poll like this (though I’m not into them), so it’s kind of like the real poll is between everything else.

Jacob King

Agree on Ed Wood (is there a genre it doesn’t fit?)

Liam Harrold

We need the final American pie movie aka American Reunion

J Danger87

It's crazy that Smokeycame out the same year as Star Wars. What a year! Sally Fields, Carrie Fisher, Burt Reynolds, and Harrison Ford.

J Danger87

The Secret of my Success doesn't get talked about enough!

Dustin Duvall

Just keep adding grandma's boy until it wins. Y'all will love it

GAB

I voted for Meaning of Life, although censoring it for YouTube might be necessary. There are occasionally breasts on display, but some of them are real and some are plastic. I suspect YouTube doesn't permit either to be included. There are also a number of songs and those could lead to copyright strikes. If it wins the poll, please make sure to include Terry Gilliam’s short film "The Crimson Permanent Assurance", which is a crucial prelude to the main film.

Maarten Martens

I know Monty Python is gospel, but Rat Race is such a funny film to react to. Because "It's a race!"

FWPJR.

Well, I really want to see you two react to Grandma’s Boy. It’s been on a poll multiple times and it usually doesn’t come close to winning ( and it looks like that’s happening again ) so hopefully next time it’s on a poll it can win or at least come closer to winning. But I know you two will watch it someday.

Stephanie Bedworth

I'm going to keep my fingers crossed for Kung Pow, although I don't think it will win. A unique and stupidly hilarious movie.

FWPJR.

Yep, been waiting for that to happen for a long time now. It’s a hilarious movie.

Jimmy Olofsson

I've been hoping for Rat Race to appear in one of thse polls for a while! Underrated comedy with a great cast and some funny scenes.

Emily G

Rat race 🤞 please win! I’ve been waiting forever!

FWPJR.

Sex Drive is an underrated movie ( imo ) I love it

cincassette

Out of these it’s definitely Meaning of Life for me. I’ll throw out a few more comedies that I’d enjoy a reaction to: - The Life Aquatic (2004) - Uptown Girls (2003) - True Stories (1986) - Election (1999) - Heathers (1989) - Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982) - Hit Man (2023) - It’s What’s Inside (2024) - Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999)

Actuarial Lurker

George and Simone since you did This is Spinal Tap already- may I suggest "Best In Show", "A Mighty Wind", and "Waiting for Guffman"- all mockumentaries starring mostly the same people, These are about a National Dog Competition, A Folk Music Festival, and a Local Theater Production, respectively....they are as funny as Spinal Tap and you get to see Chuck from Better Call Saul in more of his early comedy work!

Anonymous Andy

This is the first poll in a while where I’ve actually had to mull it over lol, there are some bangers on here

Jacob King

The Life Aquatic is a perfect film.

Daniel Smith

I think Meaning of Life is the weakest Python film. Feels more sketch show than an actual coherent plot. Going for Smokey and the Bandit. Burt Reynolds was something in his prime. Never Let Me Go is a masterpiece.

Victor Fiegel

MacGruber may be one of the most underrated movies ever made. In my top 10 favorite comedies.

jmundt33a

Not an easy sell these days. Wall Street, but fun!

Smapdi

It's not going to win, but MacGruber is actually, genuinely, one of the funniest movies ever made. It is SO much better than it has any right to be. (You did mean MacGruber, which came out in 2010, right?)

jmundt33a

Hitman is surprisingly good.

Nico Colaleo

Nearly every person on this planet we live on loves Holy Grail the most, of course, but I'm of a very rare breed whose favorite Monty Python film is actually The Meaning of Life! It's their final film, their swan song as a comedy troupe, and in my opinion it's a dang masterpiece. It's just wonderful. It's in the lead so far and I really hope it wins!

Jacob King

Best in Show is so good. I rewatched it recently. Jason Bateman in Dodgeball is like a pale shadow of Fred Willard’s dog show announcer.

Amelie W

A bunch of choice picks here. I dare say you're in for some laughs.

beefjerkywizard

Come on Grandma's Boy! We need to find out how much clothes cost in the Matrix!!

jmundt33a

Even Chris Reeves is hilarious in that.

Jacob King

Wet Hot American Summer?

darkmoobs

One of these days we will get it. Just gotta keep hoping!

darkmoobs

Severely underrated for sure.

BoredLittleLady

I’ve never seen any of these movies. Whatever wins, it’ll be new to me too. I will make some recommendations: Daddy’s Home (2015) The Lost City (2022) Spy (2015) The Heat (2013) The Suicide Squad (2021)

Adam

Kung pow!!!!!

beefjerkywizard

For future polls/consideration Weapons (also Barbarian), F1, and Companion

Roy A

Happy Labor Day, Cinebingers! It's the first of the month, so I'm back with another batch of recommendations. Comedy: Big Daddy (1999) Little Nicky (2000) - Big Daddy and Little Nicky star Adam Sandler. It's been a few years since I've seen them, but I remember them being more like The Wedding Singer and less like Billy Madison. A more subdued Sandler, but still ridiculous. Palm Springs (2020) Observe and Report (2009) - Starring Seth Rogen. It also stars Jesse Plemmons, 3 years before Breaking Bad, in a non-psycho role. Joe Dirt (2001) Freddy Got Fingered (2001) - A bizarre comedy starring Tom Green. Kindergarten Cop (1990) Action: Looper (2012) The Day After Tomorrow (2004) - Another Roland Emmerich disaster movie. True Romance (1993) Dog Day Afternoon (1975) To Live and Die in LA (1985) The Guest (2014) - Has the same vibe as "Drive" (2011). Great soundtrack too. Musical: Aladdin (1992) West Side Story (1961) Horror: Summer of '84 (2018) Cape Fear (1991) Drama: The Aviator (2004) One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975) Pay It Forward (2000) Promising Young Woman (2020) Phenomenon (1996) Pleasantville (1998) TV: The Shield (2002-2008) 7 seasons, 88 episodes Mr Robot (2015-2019) 4 seasons, 45 episodes Watchmen (2019) - This is based on the graphic novel, not the film. 1 season, 9 episodes Oz (1997-2003) 6 seasons, 56 episodes Death Note (2006-2007) 1 season, 37 episodes.

Collinson

Fingers crossed for Monty Python.

Michael Buhl

I'm glad to see that Meaning of Life is winning, but I hope you get around to watching Up in Smoke at some point.

jmundt33a

Phenomenon is great, but it is in no way a comedy. There might be three chuckles in it. Looper is solid. Pleasantville is excellent (though tough to call it a comedy). I like both Pay It Forward and Promising Young Woman. Aladdin is spectacular.

Nabikon

As much as I love most of these, I have to go with Kung Pow. It's just too damn good.

Nabikon

Also, Freaked (1993) is one of the best (and shortest) comedies most people have never heard of

Nabikon

WeeOoweeOooWEEEE!

Dana Mae

Rat Race! A more modern take on It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World. Will happily watch any of these but delighted to see RR on here! 💜

Robert Finlay

Smokey and the Bandit is essential viewing.

Dana Mae

I’m a Holy Grail faithful but my husband’s favorite is Life of Brian. You are not alone in loving a different Python film best. 😄

Dana Mae

I haven’t thought about that movie in years - THANK YOU for bringing it up!! Such a good film.

Roy A

Yeah, I didn't think of Pleasantville as a comedy, but Google called it a Fantasy/Comedy. I'll move Pleasantville and Phenonemon to the Drama section. Thank you for your comment.

Perry Campbell

I may be weird (Smokey and the Bandit) is in my top 5 movies 🍿 of all time 😍😍😍

Dane Winton

Oh man Freddy Got Fingered would be insane, I love that bonkers movie

Morion Williams

Queen of the damned (Ann Rice Vampire) Repo the Genetic Opera (Gothic Musical) God Bless America (funny thought provoking, better than falling down) Sonic ( Sonic, Obviousely) 10 Thing I hate about you (Obvious, said you guys where going to) I now pronounce you chuck and larry (death by laughter) Animatrix (Really cool animated sci-fi) A.I. Artificial Intelligence (Cool and sad Sci-fi) IQ (Awesome Romcom) Mighty Ducks (Feel good sports comedy) A score to settle (Good Nicolas Cage Action) Real Steel (Feel good family action comedy) Stewart Little (Jonathon Lipnicki, Micheal J Fox) The Little Vampire (Jonathon Lipnicki)

Kevin

Why can grandmas boy never win these smh. It’s the perfect movie for them to react to.

Kevin

I love you man!

Paul Mix

Oh, excellent! I was concerned you were never going to meet Mr. Creosote.

Polecat21

my 3 suggestions: Booksmart Good Boys The Invention of Lying

Adam

Saturday Night (2024) It's about the first episode of SNL in 1975. I've heard George express curiosity in the show. George Carlin is depicted in it since he hosted the first show.

rictus grin

hoping for more love for the OG stoner movie Up in Smoke

John

I'm planning on rewatching The Secret of My Success for Labor Day

John

I'm going to suggest a future poll (Biopics) Malcolm X (1992) Gandhi (1982) Geronimo (1993) Lincoln (2012) One Life (2024) Lee (2024) These are all worthy of watching with Oscar Winners or Oscar-winning performances. Happy Labor Day

jmundt33a

Gervais just sucks the life out of that.

jmundt33a

Mighty Ducks is fun. 10 Things is wonderful. Real Steel is Twilight Zone Rocky, but fun. IQ is one of the few duds from Meg Ryan’s peak.

Charles

grandma's boy is one of my favorite comedies, poll ain't looking good. sad face

Fox

Dragon the Bruce lee story, session 9 .

ShittyShittyGameGang

Oh my gosh, this is one I'd love to see get reacted too. I only watched the whole entire series of movies and limited series last January! And I've been hoping to see other people appreciate as much as I do.

jmundt33a

About Time is the best of Richard Curtis. Sideways is excellent. Forgetting Sarah Marshall is great. Sex Drive is fun.

jmundt33a

I mention Undercover Blues again. Fun. And it’s a nice blueprint for a sequel to something like Mr. Right or Mr. And Mrs. Smith.

John

Best in Show is fantastic and definitely worth watching

jmundt33a

Maybe Body Heat in the future to show where A Simple Favorite got the idea from in the next thriller mix.

John

This is a great list. I would suggest adding Rushmore. Between Rushmore, Heathers, Election, and Fast Times at Ridgemont High, you have a great coming-of-age/high school movie selection

John

I would definitely recommend Palm Springs

John

Body Heat is definitely worth watching. I would add two other Kathleen Turner movies (Romancing the Stone) and War of the Roses

John W Foster

Me too! And I'm so surprised it's doing so well - I didn't know there were 300 other fans of Rat Race in the world, which is shame, it is a HILARIOUS movie.

Jeff I.

McGruber is so good! Hope y'all get around to it someday.

Matthew Scott

A marathon of the four Wallace & Gromit shorts (hopefully followed by the two feature films)

Seth's Coffee Cup Ambush

Meaning of Life is incredible! It really distills Python’s whole thing IMO. It would be a lot of fun if you took on the Monty Python’s Flying Circus series, though I don’t know how viable it would be.

Seth's Coffee Cup Ambush

As spooky season approaches, I’d like to propose a double feature of The Wicker Man (1973) and Midsommar (2019). A great then and now of folk horror classics. Both are must see’s anyways but they pair really nicely. Also, since you’ve already seen The Thing, finishing John Carpenter’s Apocalypse Trilogy would be lots of fun: Prince of Darkness (1987) and In the Mouth of Madness (1994). As always a great Halloween season flick is Suspiria (1977) from Dario Argento. It is a hypnotic combination of color and sound that is really like nothing else. Definitely one of the movies I’ll keep beating the drum for because it is something special. A few other suggestions for the season: Possession (1981, Andrzej Zulawski) Nosferatu the Vampyre (1979, Werner Herzog) The Brood (1979, David Cronenberg) Event Horizon (1997, Paul W.S. Anderson)

cincassette

Agreed! Rushmore is a great one! Simone and George have only watched one Wes Anderson film so far years ago, so i think it’s about time to revisit.

Snyte

Don't make me feel older than i actually am, McGruber is a 2010 movie

Stefan Daniw

Please do Grandma’s Boy it’s a movie up your guys alley

jmundt33a

Don’t like Jewel of the Nile? I like Undercover Blues and House of Cards a lot.

jmundt33a

Dragon’s pretty good.. the 1990s Jungle Book with Jason Scott Lee, Lena Headey, Sam Neil, and Cary Elwes is also solid.

Katelyn Johnson

You guys should watch My Big Fat Greek Wedding!

John

Fallen is great, tremendous cast

jmundt33a

The Birdcage is great. Any Thoughts on Connie and Carla? It’s basically a gender-flipped Some Like It Hot.

jmundt33a

Also Heartbreakers—it’s basically the Gilmore Girls of con artistry.

RLYtoxic

It has lost 4 polls already, that span over more than a year. As much as we want them to react to it, doesn't seem likely. Maybe next year.

Tim Miller

It’s a classic at this point! I’d love to see it win but definitely not gonna happen

RLYtoxic

It is a great movie and spawned some great memes. Maybe next poll.

Farbod

Crazy that Grandma’s Boy is losing.

Tim Miller

I’d love to see Out Cold on a comedy poll sometime, a movie that seems to be almost completely forgotten. It’s silly stupid fun but was a bit of a cult classic among my friend circle back in the day.

davidov

I think it's safe to say you can watch the top two without the slightest regret. I can't think of any sketch-movie or "race"-comedy like Meaning of Life or Rat Race that was made after these 2 that comes even close. Very much looking forward to watching either with you! Ooh look! Little cockdoggies! F*ck off, I'm full! :D

Jeromy M

Early teen memory unlocked there.

FranciscoGios

Someone just reminded me of My Big Fat Greek Wedding, you two should watch it.

Jeromy M

Gotta love Grandmas Boy, but damn would I love for them to watch Kung Pow as well. Hysterical and very quotable.

Jeromy M

Ahhh, again with the squeaky shoes

Jeromy M

You go that way, I'll go home.

Jeromy M

Let me know, if you see, a Radioshack

Adam

I’ll take a pound of nuts.

Jeromy M

I'm Lings father, weeooweeoo

RLYtoxic

I'm always excited to see Grandma's Boy on a list, but after more than a year of watching it lose polls, the heartbreak is too much :(

Jeromy M

Oh, so cute, buh-bye.

Tim Nicolle

Has to be Monty Python but Race Race an old favourite as well!

doughbones

Kung Pow is the funniest movie on the list by far.

Tay Schumaker

McGruber is so stupid and hilarious

Tim Hibbard

You guys will f-ing LOVE Grandma’s Boy!

jmundt33a

Birdcage, Secret of My Success, Noises Off, Grosse Pointe Blank, No Strings Attached, and Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Easy A is awesome. French Kiss is very well done. Six Days and Seven Nights is odd. The chemistry between Heche and Ford is uneven. Jacqueline Obradors is gorgeous. Bedazzled is…off-kilter. It’s still peak Brendan Fraser, and the real stars are Liz Hurley and her wardrobe. A little like Serving Sara in her filmography of that point. There are the bones of a decent Midnight Run remake, but her chemistry with Matthew Perry is disappointing. Feels like a waste of an Amy Adams drop-in and a villain turn by Bruce Campbell. EdTV is nice, but feels downright quaint now.

jmundt33a

The last of the racy skiing comedies.

jmundt33a

Yes. A great cast invested in the enterprise. I wonder if Denzel signed on for this one after he saw the way Seven turned out.

jmundt33a

I’d have to go with Malcolm X and Lincoln off that list.

Alex Ch

I am a sucker for the whole subgenre. Not just those two but Midnight Madness and Million Dollar Mystery too.

Nabikon

You broke a thermometer in my hands

Relic

As Good as It Gets (1997) Jack Nicholson, Helen Hunt, Greg Kinnear, Jill the dog as Verdell

Relic

Would love to see a Body Heat reaction. It's hot!

jmundt33a

Yup. And the truly American epithet, “Fucking HMO bastard pieces of SHIT!”

jmundt33a

Have they done Desperately Seeking Susan or Whole Nine Yards yet? Three to Tango is fun, but VERY 1990s.

Matthew Blackwood

Hidden gems are, by definition, not popular enough to win polls. Huge bummer that it always comes up against much better known flicks.

Tim

1. Flight of the Navigator - 1986 2. Homeward Bound - 1993 They were two of my favorite movies growing up (out of the norms). I rescued a Pit Bull because of Chance in Homeward Bound.

Bill Egan

I hope you watch Rat Race, love that movie. If you do get to it, consider watching It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, the classic on which it's based. It's a little long, but absolutely hilarious with a stacked cast for its time

Wicked Wookie

It's such a FUN comedy. That can't be said about many comedies.

Wicked Wookie

That is a hidden gem and some really funny folks in the cast.

Donna Castellano

I don't have strong feelings about any of the films on this poll, so I voted for Grandma's Boy to help y'all out.

Donna Castellano

There are some great lines in Three to Tango. Every once in a while, my sister and I will go, "My kidneys! My kidneys!"

Jay Davis

I realize the margin by which Kung Pow loses won't be wafffer thin but...

E-You

The Whole 9 Yards is an awesome dark comedy imho

Philipp Roensch

Great selection. Just a new comedy for later, seen it yesterday in cinemas: The Roses, was a real treat if you like dark British humor.

Max Carter

The Meaning of Life is really great and has some of my favourite Python scenes but I hope you guys realise going in that out of their 3 films it's the one with the least in the way of a narrative structure and more a sequence of skits/scenes with a general overarching them

Thirty Year Old Mulberry Field

Why not a movie starring Bruce Lee instead? “Fists of Fury” and “Enter the Dragon” are right there.

fforw

It is very similar to "Monty Python's Flying Circus" (the series) in a way, but it has some of the wildest stuff of all the Python skits and the production value is a bit above the usual BBC series standards.

Tyler Foster

tragic lack of support for MacGruber and Kung Pow! Enter the Fist, but it's nice that Rat Race is coming in second place

David S

I'd rather them do the original War of the Roses from 1989 with Michael Douglas and Kathleen turner. I don't know why the studios have to remake everything... the original was great, very dark but very funny.

David S

Fawlty Towers would be awesome to do as well. And its only two short seasons...

Happy Hanukkah

So we're all agreed then: Easy A. Call off this poll. :-)

Happy Hanukkah

We obviously need a "hidden gems" poll.

David S

+1 (2?) for Election and Drop Dead Gorgeous...

David S

I don't remember caring for What about Bob much, but I thoroughly enjoyed Bowfinger, and Ed Wood is probably Tim Burton's best movie. It's such a shame they didn't follow up Plan 9 with it.

jmundt33a

Oliver Platt can be a gem.

jmundt33a

Enter The Dragon is not complete.

Chris Truex

I feel like with Kung Pow, what everyone remembers is that stupid cow fight (they featured it in previews a lot). But while I agree that part sucked, the rest of the movie is great.

Happy Hanukkah

Because there's nothing quite like getting together for a festive Thanksgiving meal with your loved ones!

Christina Bee

wow Rat Race lol totally forgot about that movie. it's great tho!

sarCC

Glad Smokey's doing decently.

jmundt33a

These are two family classics.

jmundt33a

It is fun, but there are other fun comedies.

JarHead0351

Sad to see Cheech & Chong isn't leading this list. Such a underrated movie that is so funny for stoners.

Fox

Yes

Philipp Roensch

See, I had not seen that one before, but it is on my watch list now. Found the new one quite on my level of dark humor as well.

s0rd3z

"You're a hooker!!"

mourning_fox

I voted for the correct movie

Tyler Foster

Did I break it? Did I break the game?

Arthur 'Two Sheds' Jackson

Suggestions for next comedy poll Airheads (1994) Coneheads (1993) Black Sheep (1996)

Arthur 'Two Sheds' Jackson

Sad to see that movie not do well even when it is paired in a poll with other stoner comedies...

jmundt33a

Hoffman was damn near invisible as George Jr. Have they done School Ties yet? Fraser, O’Donnell, and Ben and Matt just breaking in.

BoredLittleLady

I used to be obsessed with Silver Linings Playbook.

BellaBlue

This is one of the easiest choices for me on any poll and lucky for me and unusual for me..my choice is actually winning

BellaBlue

Requests for your consideration: - Bottoms (2023) - Sausage Party (2016) - Trainwreck (2015) - The House Bunny (2008) - The Station Agent (2003) - The Edge of Seventeen (2016)

jmundt33a

I mean…it is fun and the cast is loaded.

Erik Brown

A couple for the next poll:

BellaBlue

I keep waiting for Pee Wee's Big Adventure after losing Paul Reubens 2 years ago...was hoping they would do that soon after but I'm sure they will at some point for that and urs as well

Francisco Aquino Flores

My recommendation for another poll or something is my favorite movie: About time. I don't think many people know about it but I definitely love it and I think you would too c:

John Miller

I don't think Up in Smoke will ever win a poll, because of it's age. But it's a must watch.

Vengeance

Monty Python is 1983 and it’s leading the poll. Smokey and the Bandit is 1977 and currently in 4th.

@Foodmancing

Wow….um….these honestly aren’t great

Jonathan Eaton

I’m not even voting this week. I will be happy with any of them.

Random Nevermind

Hello. Two movies I would like to recommend for the next ‘funny poll’ The Tall Blond Man with One Black Shoe (1972) Lady for a day (1933) Thank you

Downside dn

At this point, im just betting on which horse to win and losing all my money... lmao

Roy A

I think you're supposed to put the spoiler alert before the spoiler.

Roy A

Bless you.

Bruce Liddle

Rat Race is worth it just for the Jon Lovitz Hitler scenes. Grandma's boy is a hidden gem. Can't go wrong with Monty Python. Smokey and the Bandit is silly 70s fun. Kung Pow is brilliant but i always felt it was too long. Up In Smoke was always good, with your friends, getting drunk.

Will Sofer

No need. Anytime something from Monty Python is on one of these polls, it always wins.

sarCC

Oh, yes, Maverick is a terrific suggestion. So fun and clever.

Will Sofer

Bro, you know you can’t raise your voice like that when the lion gets here.

JoeE

Would also recommend bowfinger, some like it hot, kingpin, ed wood

Jeremy S

I mean, Rat Race is okay, that scene is funny, but the rest of the movie is meh. Agree 100% with Grandma's Boy! Hopefully they'll get to it at some point. Kung Pow is funny to me, but I think at this point that's mainly nostalgia (saw it in high school). Wouldn't mind them reacting to it, though, it's so ridiculous. Up in Smoke is a classic. They'll get there some day.

Jeremy S

Unfortunate turn of events...

Kaushik Sethunath

Here's requesting 2015 Best Picture winner and black comedy, Birdman! For the filmmaking, performances and general vibe, I think it'll be right up George and Simone's alley, and would make for a great reaction. Would love to atleast see it in a poll soon!

jmundt33a

Enjoying the powerhouse that is Vera Pemrose Prescott?

Insane Rabbit Daddy

Yes, I have to second David's suggestion. If you're looking for another TV series to cover, Fawlty Towers is the one.

Tyler Foster

Looking forward to the day Bowfinger turns a corner and gets embraced by the reaction channels.

Tyler Foster

Not sure its age is an issue. I feel like I've seen it on multiple reaction channels for 4/20.

Tyler Foster

yeah...you do understand you're ruining the joke this way, right?

Tyler Foster

FYI: I recommend watching Meaning of Life well before a meal as opposed to right after...

Stugotz

I don't know if you're going to do a Halloween movie poll next month but in case you do I have a few suggestions: Sleepy Hollow (1999) The Frighteners (1996) The Blob (1988) Gremlins 2 (1990)

John Miller

Exactly. Allot of people only watch it, because of that. Even though it is hilarious. It's not as much of a mainstream comedy as the others on the list.

John Miller

Rat Race is funny. But it's basically a remake of It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World.

Maria Forsström

Love Sleepy Hollow! For a Halloween poll I would also suggest: Dog Soilders (2002), Fallen (1998), Village of the Damned (1995) and The Lost Coast Tapes (2012)

Tyler Foster

Yeah, and the people who do reactions generally don't watch trailers unless they do trailer reactions, so...

Amelie W

It's on the list so they'll probably get to it in time. (Also, good joke.)

Rnd1000

Smokey and the Bandit is looking like it wont win but really deserves a watch, it along with Cannonball Run are two of the funniest movies ever put out by Hollywood. Some of the jokes might not be the funniest now because the cultural zeitgeist is so different from when they were made almost 48(Smokey) and 44(CannonBall) years ago, but they are a must watch for any real movie fan. Maybe on another poll. Also any of the Cheech and Chong movies deserve a watch.

Darren Boyle

This has got to be the worst selection of movies yet 😂🤷‍♂️

lalaland

Or you know, other people like different things.

lalaland

For you. Other people can prefer different things.

Jay Dee

I absolutely love Rat Race. One of the funniest movies I've seen. Great cast too.

John

The Frighteners is great

maikeru

yeah, and I also hope they watch Mousehunt (1997) one day

Rooster Aleution

I would love for them to react to Steven Spielberg's Always. It's one of my favorites, but it seems like nobody remembers it even though it has a great cast and script.

Mike FromOz

Counter point - You should have bought a squirrel.

@Foodmancing

Yes….that is how preferences and taste work. 🥴

John Every

WATCH GRANDMAS BOY AHHHHHHHHH

Richard Burrell

Kung Pow is such stupid fun - you guys would enjoy it!

Old School Drew

Rat race was a fun movie they just didn't seem like they knew how to end it

Jeromy M

Thsts a lot of nuts!

Adam

That’ll be 4 bucks baby! You want fries with that?!?!

jmundt33a

Isn’t it a remake?

Jon

Enter the Fist deserves more votes lol

Aaron Navarrete

I would highly recommend Hamilton (2020) cause it's about to have its theatrical release on Sept. 5th, so I think it's the perfect time to react to it!

Jean-Dominic Lapointe

I think Kung Pow is 10x funnier when you understand the process behind it.

Shadow Zane

I really would love a reaction of The Owl House. Amazing LGBTQ+ representation (and from disney which is surprising), amazing romance, funny as hell, quite underrated and most of all an amazing story which just gets better with every episode!!

sarCC

The Frighteners is great, but Gremlins 2 should definitely be in a comedy poll.

Rooster Aleution

Yes, it was a remake of the Spencer Tracy 1943 movie "A Guy Named Joe." I don't think I've seen the original. It was about fighter pilots in WW II, whereas the remake is about Colorado firefighter pilots. I know the plots are similar. I'll have to check out the original if I can find it.

Tom M

Omg MacGruber last? Its sooooooooo funny.

Tom M

I’m laughing just thinking about the road rage joke.
