Another great week! Let's gooooo

RSMJ

I was just watching your reactions to the original Naked Gun movies. Excited to see the new one!

Jeff K.

I see y'all chose to save the movie featuring the scariest monsters of all for your October 30/Halloween release. (And just your reminder: the writer/director of Spotlight is the actor who played Scott, the lying journalist, in season five of The Wire.)

JakeyShakeyBakeyBoy

Happy to see “Spotlight” get its day for those really awaiting a watch-along but that said it is a stellar film all around. “The Naked Gun” is a lot of fun with some big laughs. Hope y’all have a nice weekend anyways

Mike FromOz

This is a great week! 4 movies! I am really hanging out to see your reaction to Sherlock Holmes. Thanks for not trolling us by choosing the 2010 movie, heh. But seriously, what a week!

Josip Buretić

I watched the new one and was disappointed, I loved the old ones but the new one was meh for me 🤷🏻

TheLeftPecOfTheLord

Ayy comments are back, like I said in the general chat it shaping up to be a really incredible week for the reactions, Spotlight especially is a gripping movie and is sure to spark discussion. And back with one of my favorite shows with Stranger Things is always welcome. Have a wonderful weekend everyone 🖖🏻

BoredLittleLady

For the first time in a bit. I’m really excited about the entire upcoming week. Should be great.

FWPJR.

I haven’t seen any of these movies, and I don’t watch any of the weekly series shows that are currently being watched. But I hope everyone who watches them enjoys them, and has a great weekend✌🏻

Matrim

Oh hell yes, a week where everything is solid. The return of Stranger Things, Spotlight, Sherlock Holmes, and the “Masterpiece” that is Final Frontier

Matrim

Spotlight is amazing. I can’t recommend it enough.

No0neAtAll

I have to admit I let out an audible YES! when I saw this week's schedule.

Carlos H

I just got done rewatching your reaction to season 5 of The Wire. Perfect timing for Spotlight.

FWPJR.

Judging by all the comments today and in the past I’ve seen nothing but great things about it, so I might actually watch the reaction. I just usually don’t watch the reactions to movies or TV shows I haven’t seen before.

jmundt33a

Missed the window on Fallen. Again. And Practical Magic. Damn.

Laura Dawson

Yay! I joined for stranger things so excited to get into season 2!

Ashkaun

Finally, Sherlock Holmes! Good week

theycallmekev

Spotlight is such a fantastic film that fully deserved its Best Picture Oscar in 2015. In an age where journalistic integrity is being threatened, it stands…alongside All the President’s Men…as one of the greatest tributes to the power of investigative reporting ever made.

Robert Cooper

Star Trek V: Shatner Tanks the Franchise

I like Bobby Fish… but he’s got this fish gimmick

I love the Guy Ritchie Sherlock Holmes movies and I usually don’t enjoy his stuff. Crucially he didn’t write these ones so I get to enjoy his exciting, kinetic direction without all the cockney gangster tropes of his writing that doesn’t work me. And the script and performances are full of underlying homoerotic tension between Holmes and Watson which is fun.

JayF

Tue - YAY! Wed - Eww. Hopefully it doesn't delay your reaction to VI because it's much much better. Thu - Thank you for doing this one. I know it's a tough watch but it's such an incredible film and thankfully there's no direct exposure to any of the evil stuff. Sat - I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Those movies are fun. Sun - Interested to see this one with you as I've not watched it yet.

DasBigUn

FINALLY you guys are going to finish the TOS movies.....GOD

Jaaahn

?? what are you shouting about? they've literally only ever said they plan to do all of them, just in release order. even in the previous movies theyve repeated time and time again they will do them in between seasons of TNG as it was released.

DasBigUn

edited to be in compliance with the shouting complaint. Also, even if they HAVE in the past said that they will do it in-between TNG seasons, why not do it in-between season 1 and 2? IDK, the 6th movie DOSE explain a lot.

Kevin

Will they be doing “Big Daddy”? I think it came in 2nd in a poll

Jaaahn

again, try to comprehend the words "Release Order". movie 5 was released near the end of S2. how is that so hard to understand. theyve also literally explained this already in the previous movies and at teh start of TNG. over and over and over again, theyve even explained exactly WHEN the movies would be done.

DasBigUn

I dont remember them ever saying that about TNG sessions and TOS movies being intertwined in that. I far as some would assume, they wouldn't be. IF so, then there would be some problems with that as they would miss out on why the Klingon's are being so friendly in TNG. Gorge had several question to that end and Simon didn't know (I would assume because she had not see the TOS movies) answer too it as it wouldn't have been a spoiler. THEN AGIAN, I am a HUGE nerd and just know a ton. Hopefully they do watch it sooner as the release order would put them behind for a couple of months (I looked up the release dates of the seasons and the movies)

Cinebinge

hi DasBugUn. to clarify again, yes we are planning to watch all of the TOS movies in the order they were released along side TNG. placing the 6th movie between Season 4 and 5. one of the reason we wanted to do it this way is specifically because of what you brought up. at the time of TNG's release, the viewers would also not know what occurs in the future movies, so if the information given from the show is good enough for the audience at the time without future movie knowledge, then it is good enough for us. and since the production in the earlier seasons wouldnt know what movies years down the road would include, episodes would be created with what they assume the audience would know at the time rather than what they should know in the future. if anything, we want to avoid a situation of "wait why is this character doing this when someone said or did the opposite in the movies", only to then remember the movies are in the future irl.

DasBigUn

aaaa, OK also, when I saw Y'ALL replied....I had the nervous 'gulp' and thought I may have gotten introuble from the teacher. Thanks for the Clarification though. I guess that DOSE makes sense. I think PERONALLY its odd, but it dose make sense NOT to spoil the future character arcs of characters in TNG and what their action would be.

Anamondaris

Spotlight and Sherlock! It’s going to be a great week💜

Hamesque

While I'm looking forward to the new Naked Gun you really missed an opportunity to have every reaction start with S.

Opti_Frog

Snaked Gun, The?

Opti_Frog

The reaction to IV should be shortly or immediately after TNG season 5 episode 9.

Florian

Same ❤️

Florian

🤣🤣🤣

KnittingHaven

Would love to see you guys react to The Long Walk (2025)! Not sure yet where I would rank it among my favorite Stephen King book adaptations, but it's definitely near the top.

maikeru

I watched it the other day and I'm not sure I like it. Mainly because I didn't really care for amost anybody: they're dying like flies but we barely get to know them and it's not like they're all likeable.

maikeru

I hope but they don't always watch the 2nd place, unfortunately.

maikeru

fun fact: last night I started watching The Boys and I like it a lot. After I'm finished the four seasons I'll watch S&G's react to it. Wonder why they only watched season one.

Drew Acheson

I'd love to see you guys watch Roxanne starring Steve Martin and Daryl Hannah. It's a classic 80's retelling of Cyrano De Bergerac.

Robert Durant

I didn’t even notice it on the schedule until I saw your comment. They gonna love this.

Robert Durant

I second All The President’s Men

G P

Filmed in Nelson BC

Stephen

I'd like to recommend The Village (2004) a very polarizing M night shyamalan film that I think is great

Jeff I.

I personally didn't enjoy The Long Walk at all. I thought most of the acting wasn't great, the dialogue was repetitive, the cinematography was repetitive, and Mark Hamill's cartoon villain voice kept taking me out of it.

HeyHeyJK

Just wait until Edgar Wright’s new adaptation of “The Running Man” comes out next month!

jmundt33a

I’ll be skipping that particular enhanced interrogation technique, thanks all the same. Still have scars from the last time.

Charles

I'd like to see The Birdcage with Robin Williams on the next poll that has comedy

James Stiles

when will you be getting to the 4th lethal weapon?

Logan Kerlee

I wonder the same thing. I enjoyed their reactions to it!

maikeru

Last night I found out they watched season 2 but season 1 is missing.

Stephen

What do you mean? I’m confused lol

RogueRN

Such an incredible film on a infuriating topic. And amazing performances all around.

maikeru

they'll watch it 🥳

James Stiles

thanks. been wanting to ask for a long while
