Update 11/Feb/2026, 11:27 AM EST : We found a temporary solution to bring things back up but the deeper problem is still there, its still being worked on but hopefully without causing further down time.

Update: Issue seems to be a lot deeper than everyone initially believed, currently on a 4 way conference call with multiple different supports.

Update: Patreon support updated us with the need of an additional 30 minutes

Hi everyone, alright so cinebingers.ca is down at the moment and after some back and forth with the host provider we've determined the issue and they are working on fixing it.

The estimate they gave is anywhere from 30-60 minutes as this is an issue between Patreon's API randomly starting giving a lot of errors over night, and when a lot of users started receiving said error the host server crashed and here we are. The problem and solutions are in the hands of 2 different groups of tech support at the moment but we're working closely with them to resolve this for now and hopefully for the future. Will give update when we receive them.

Seems to use the exact opposite of Scotty's formula. They obviously don't want to be seen as miracle workers.

My guess is that it has something to do with DNS or IP configuration. Super simple to fix, but difficult to find routing errors. I totally agree with your timeframe. Yet that doesn't mean I am not refreshing every 20 seconds.

As a former tech support lead, I can verify that the most common way to deal with this issue is to contact the hosts every 10 min to ask for an update. When they tell you that you are lengthening the time needed to fix it, state in a clear, entitled voice that you are the customer, and they need to fix it. When they again explain that dealing with your communications every 10 min isn't helping. Agree and change your time elapsed before demanding an update to 12 min, and feel like you are part of the solution.

" From my experience every party beyond the one effected and the one initialy responsible increases the complications by an order of magnitude. So... yeah I feel your pain. I hope youre a well established alcoholic so that theres an easy way out if this get too bad
